Fawn

This is a great summer perfume! I love beachy, sunscreeny, white floral scents in Spring/Summer and have Soleil Blanc, Eau de Soleil Blanc, Vacation by Vacation, Bobbi Brown Beach, Alien Goddess etc. Wore side by side with Eau de Soleil Blanc and they’re near dupes. If anything EDSB is very slightly warmer and Fawn is ever so slightly more aquatic/salty. I got Fawn for a great price and am very happy to have her :) As compared to SB, Fawn is far less floral and heady. Definitely less fruity than Vacation and less musky/perfumy than Alien Goddess. If these are your type of scents, go for Fawn. Do you need it if you have SB or EDSB? Prob not, but why not :)

I did not expect to love this one- I feel like I have smelled every summer/tropical/sunscreen scent under the sun and nothing could surprise or impress me anymore. But Fawn is a beautiful and unique version of these! It combines it all- with a bit of floral in there too. It smells like an expensive coconut sunscreen, with a floral perfume layered over it, while drinking a limoncello spritz. It smells delicious, tropical, expensive, inoffensive, and gorgeous!!! I would definitely consider it unisex, which normally puts me off a scent tbh, but this would be delicious on man or woman with a slight lean towards being feminine.

I bought an Ellis Brooklyn 10 travel size bundle from a great seller on eBay. They threw in samples of this one and Miami Nectar. I kept this one as my purse spray refresher- and every time I sprayed it on, it was so refreshing, clean, and sparkly! Found a great almost full bottle through a Facebook fragrance group, $25 shipped. Just received it and it is every bit as pretty as my sample, even better! I love the balmy sunscreeny aquatic vibes with the creamy base, so enjoyable, and it absolutely radiates in the sun! Very happy with this one!

I was so surprised by this perfume. It is so nostalgic to me! This is a really creamy floral scent. I do get coconut but not in a sunscreeny banana boat kind of way. This reminds me of an old Harajuku Lovers perfume I had as a kid but I can't quite place it. For me this conjures up a feeling of innocence perfectly mixed with class. I've tried other Ellis Brooklyn perfumes and this one has amazing staying power on me compared to others. Especially on clothes!

I do like this one very much. Never thought of It as beachy. Never picked up the coconut in it. To me, it was always a neroli bomb with amber..at least, on me. I wear it with a good orange blossom lotion to extend the wear. One of the best of EB, imo. It's not earthshaking or super original but it's well blended and smells really good. The price is ok too.

A sophisticated woman at the beach. Do not understand the hate, this is stunning! Delicate beachy florals that walk the line of sunscreen/tropical drink but expensive smelling. Lovely! Can’t believe I found this at Ross for $29! After testing, I sprayed myself before I went to bed and it was still going the next morning. For me, it has staying power.

I totally agree with @ekrapf. Fawn is a northeast/ New England beach with sunscreen, warm sand, salty skin, and floral in the way sun tan lotion is floral. It reminds me of the New Jersey shore when I was a kid. Fawn is nostalgic for me.

Found this on a whim at Ross for way cheap and couldn’t pass it up even though I didn’t know what it smelled like. Before reading any reviews, my immediate thought was a classy woman at the beach or by the pool. Sunscreen, flowers, tropical, a tad creamy but not at all sweet. It’s not my vibe but it’s not terrible. It smells very clean and fun. I like it ok on its own but love it layered with Ambre Vanille by LM and with that little bit of depth and sweetness it gives me the vibe I go for. I’d wear it on its own for a day by the pool but even then, I don’t think it’s anything unique. It will get used as it’s inoffensive and good for a hot day out but this won’t be a staple by any means. Don’t get my wrong, it’s beautiful but it’s very particular.

now this is a citrus for my fellow gourmand girls! i am typically drawn to super sweet, super warm fragrances so this one was out of my comfort zone. this perfume is definitely a fresh citrus, but the vanilla and musk notes allow it to read a bit unique (on me). it’s like a cousin of a gourmand perfume, with the characteristic warmth despite the contrasting fresh notes. this is the only citrus based fragrance that i’ve loved, and i think that might be why! i highly recommend for a spring/summer scent if what you typically wear would be too sweet or cloying in the summer. i got a small sample with another order and i am planning on buying a full size asap!

Pretty, beach scent. Starts off with blast of coconut. Then then white florals come out. It gives it a Monoi tiare oil vibe. Coconut with tropical white florals - gardenia/tuberose/tiare - any of the above or a mix of all three. There is also a bit of light blonde wood underneath and warm skin scent which makes it smooth. There is only the faintest citrus/bergamot scent in the mix. It is not really prominent - just adds a bit of brightness. Really very nice if you like a beachy, coconut, white floral scent. One of the only Ellis scents I like - very pretty.

Lily soap and coconut milk. Came off a bit aldehydic and citrusy to me at first (my first thought was oh, is this going to remind me of a Chanel fragrance?), then it settled into a mild white flower coconut milk. It’s not mind blowing, but if you want to smell tropical without blasting yourself full of coconut and tiare, I’d say this is a nice and tame route to take. I think I’ll return it because I just have (and have decluttered) so many scents that are in this family: Soleil blanc, guerlain terracotta, Beach walk, etc etc

Very soft and beautiful coconut gourmand, floral, in the same camp as TF Soliel Blanc, but I’m a bit anosmic to that one so I actually prefer this. There’s a bit of a play doh thing going on here as well, but it’s not overwhelming to the composition. I actually wore this scent on my wedding day and honeymoon, so it will forever hold a special place in my collection. Sillage is moderate, but the scent lasts for ages on my skin.

I got this in my quest to smell like summer/beach/sunscreen year round and also because most of my other favorite fragrances feature neroli. This is what I consider my summer perfume for wintertime- the base notes seem wintery to me and there's a kind of sharpness/crispness that my other beachy fragrances don't have. It's nice but it's not my favorite, and at that price point I probably won't be buying it again.

This perfume opens sweet and daintily-- like fur. I get a noseful of plush, soft cream and cozy vanillas. Suprisingly, on the dry down, these sweet calming notes turn to a grassy plane. Somehow the fragrance becomes an hazy, grass stained dream I was catching whiffs of it all day layered with MixBar Tangerine Squeeze recently. It compliments so many fragrances!

Fresh coconut milk, watery bergamot, and tender, dew-kissed rosebuds. As vernal and soft as its namesake. A morning daydream in an enchanted rose garden, chiffon ribbons braided into hair that has never been cut, a white butterfly landing in the palm of your hand. Innocent, sweet, and with the lightest touch of magic.

Fawn is a very fitting name for this. I found this in a sample set. I do really like this. However, I recently picked up Live Colorfully by Kate Spade and they are very similar. This is a very soft fragrance. I love gourmand scents and this is a fresh floral spring time gourmand. It’s a nice creamy floral.

To be honest I really did not like the opening of this one which just smelled of pure coconut. Luckily that dissipates pretty quickly though and then you're left with something that just reminds me of sunshine and makes me happy. It makes me want to spend the day outside and venture around.

This perfume is designed for somebody else, with different skin and different air. It doesn't come together for me. I get the coconut and the neroli, but they just sit there, like two nice people on a blind date that isn't going to work. I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else.

I don't get all the citrus everyone else is picking up but I'm really not complaining about it. It really does smell like the memory of first love. It's floral and light and feels like jovial romance. Like confessing to your crush at your middle school's Valentine's day dance.

My teenage daughter wears this — I really love it on her. It’s light, it’s youthful, it’s innocent. She loves coconut and white florals in the summer, and this really delivers. This is one of my favorites from the brand, but maybe it’s just because I love her so much.
