The heart blooms with exotic ylang ylang, lush jasmine, and sweet, creamy, and airy whipped cream. The dry down envelopes you in a sensual and sweet powdery vanilla, cozy benzoin, soft musk, and comforting woody notes. It’s very well rounded and balanced. The most prominent notes on me are the sea salt, watery notes, whipped cream, and vanilla. Oh my goodness this is so gorgeous! Definitely full bottle worthy imo! It’s sweet, but not at all cloying. It’s creamy in the best possible way, which doesn’t come off as particularly lactonic, but more just like delicate and fluffy whipped cream. It’s well rounded, but not super deep, which I really like here for the style of fragrance this is. Even though this is a rather unique scent, it still manages to be an easy reach. It feels feminine to me, as well as being suitable for all ages. I think most people would probably reach for this the most during the spring, summer, and fall. However, I feel like it works well throughout the whole year since it’s fresh (aquatic/marine) and delicate for the heat, yet sweet and cozy enough for colder weather. It feels suitable for pretty much any occasion from casual to fancy, and including work and/or school. It’s very well balanced Love at first sniff, and already has hit my top favorite Ellis Brooklyn perfume!😍 I have several other fragrances from the EB line including perfumes in Queens Caramel, Miami Nectar, Bee, Vanilla Milk, Salt, and Myth. I also have the mists in Marshmallows (my favorite!), Sand, and Vanilla Sin. I really enjoy all of them, but my faves are Marshmallows, Vanilla Salt, Queens Caramel, Sand, and Miami Nectar! I also just got some samples with this order (Vanilla Salt and Queens Caramel), Guava Granita and Après, and I’m really excited to try them! In comparison to Vanilla Milk and Salt I absolutely love Vanilla Salt a lot more! Compared to Vanilla Milk this is much lighter and doesn’t have the heavy lactonic accord. It comes off as much more fresh, aquatic/marine, and salty, but still has a beautiful sweet and creamy yet airy whipped cream and powdery vanilla. Compared to Salt, this is much less floral, less amber-y, less musky, more sweet, more aquatic, and obviously has the lovely powdery vanilla and sweet and airy whipped cream. I definitely see the similarity to JHAG Vanilla Vibes, which is another one that I really enjoy! To me, Vanilla Vibes comes off slightly more fresh and a bit more aquatic/marine, while Vanilla Salt seems slightly more vanilla forward, and more powdery. They both have a really pretty and unique salty twist that I really enjoy. I also see some similarities to Alien Goddess and JPG Divine. I had to come back and completely re-review this fragrance because my opinion has done a total 180. When I first tried this, I was honestly disappointed. Based on the marketing, I was expecting a salty gourmand ice cream cone type of scent, and that's just not what this is. My expectations were completely different, so I think I judged it unfairly. But I kept reaching for my sample... and somewhere along the way I absolutely fell in love with it. Now I cannot stop wearing it. This is such a beautiful take on a summer vanilla. It opens with this breezy aquatic salt air that feels perfect for warm weather, and then it quickly dries down into a creamy beachy vanilla. It's not heavy or overly sweet—it somehow manages to be fresh and comforting at the same time. I've gotten so many compliments wearing this. I've had two waitresses stop me and ask what I was wearing, then pull out their phones so I could write it down because they didn’t want to forget. So if you were expecting straight-up vanilla ice cream like I was, adjust your expectations. This isn't that. But if you're looking for a unique, addictive summer vanilla that keeps you coming back for another sniff, don't make the same mistake I did. I'm so glad I gave my sample another chance because this has become one of my most-worn fragrances.

Wow! I’m speechless. 😳 Perfect any day & all day vanilla fragrance! 🤩💕 It’s just the right amount of sweetness, elegant, joyful, airy, bright & playful. 🤍🍦 NOT too heavily bakery gourmand at all! Even though I love me Bianco latte but I can’t wear that much of a gourmand on any day. This type of vanilla you can! I had a STRONG feeling I’d love it when it first came out, but the bad reviews on vanilla milk perfume made me really scared to get it as it’s more expensive in Germany. I consulted Reddit & I’m so glad I bought it! Honestly I’m shocked! I expected it to be nice but not in love from first sniff that rarely happens to me. And I think I’m shocked because I’m not familiar with what “salty” perfumes man? Since I love sweet perfumes I thought the saltiness of it may not make me like it but I’m very pleasantly surprised! 🤤 It smells kinda familiar, anyone know what perfume it smells similar too? I got Divine Le Parfum (more amber) but I think the regular divine may have some resemblance to? The only negatives is now I need to save up 120€ for a full bottle in a season of limited edition body mists I just got from Ellis Brooklyn. 🥲 Knowing this brand sometimes her perfume doesn’t last as long as I’d like, especially for the price but STILL, I want it FULL bottle ASAP!😍🥰 ~

I was really excited for this— I expected something cozy, creamy, and just a touch briny, like a sweet vanilla ice cream sprinkled with sea salt. Unfortunately I was way off... the marketing totally mislead me so If you’re expecting a warm, sweet, beachy vanilla with a touch of a gourmand edge, this might feel jarringly different. This is a fresh and floral-forward, with a watery marine accord dominating for most of the wear. The opening hits with a sharp burst of marine notes that lean a bit masculine. Then as it starts to dry into a prominently floral heart that outshines the vanilla and the almost non existent whipped cream note—making it feel more like a breezy ocean-side bouquet rather than a gourmand treat. The vanilla is there, but it’s light and airy, not rich or creamy. The salty aspect feels more like sea spray than a salted dessert. UPDATE: She’s growing on me. This is a sweeter and more interesting vanilla vibes by JHAG. I will consider purchasing this once my vanilla vibes is out. I think I was just completely thrown off by the ice cream cone marketing and was a touch disappointed but this is nice.

I’ve owned this perfume since it was first released in August 2025. At first it was very light and airy with vanilla and salt to be most prominent to me. Smelling like eating a creamy vanilla bean icecream, out of a buttery (not popcorn) waffle while sitting by the sea and the ocean spray smells fresh and salty. I’m sensitive to jasmine and musk but I took a chance on this as no other EB perfume has triggered my allergies. Now that I’ve owned this perfume for 6+ months, I still get the yummy sea side vanilla, except now I get a stronger scent of jasmine and musk. This is still a beautiful sweet, salty aquatic vanilla. However, it’s not quite a gourmand as the white floral and musk do stand out more to me now. The florals elevate this fragrance from more than a sweet treat to an versatile, elegant, clean, powdery floral scent. It’s a skin scent that gives a fresh out the shower slightly powdery vibe. I found this perfume performed best when layered over the Saltair Saltwater Vanilla body mist.

I’ve been wearing this perfume for about a week now. I really enjoy the airy and sea water saltiness I get from this. It almost feels like I can smell the fizz from the ocean like you would a champagne essence. The whipped cream and vanilla combo are apparent as the scent never gets too salty. It’s rounded out nicely with the creamy warm notes. The jasmine and ylang brighten up the scent without being too distinguishable. I’m super sensitive to florals and this gets a green light from me. This scent makes me feel fresh, clean and put together without being too sweet or smelling like it should be reserved for dressy events. So far this is a day time, warm weather scent for me. Perfect for the Florida heat. This is my first salty fragrance and I love it. I prioritize clean scents free of hazardous chemicals and brands that are transparent and give back to charity. So this brand and scent are winners for me.

aquatic salty vanilla. like sublimity from lore + vanilla + salt. its nice, light, airy... def very appropriate for summer. if you're going to wear a vanilla on a hot day, this is the one to go with. somehow, the longevity is insanely good on me, and I have very dry skin so thats not something that happens often. not linear at all, it goes through an evolution... so definitely give it a few day-long wears before deciding how you really feel about it. update: I've been wearing it for a few days, and I love it more with each wear. its somewhat distantly related to rare/burberry goddess/gorgeous orchid, but like... this is their cousin that lives in Santorini and spends most of her time at the beach. it IS safe for all seasons though, cause the vanilla keeps it versatile. the first time I wore it in public, I got a compliment seconds after I left the house with it on. absolutely signature potential.

Wow what a unique and tastefully done vanilla. I've never smelled a vanilla like this before. The salt and ylang-ylang really do give a beachy feel to this perfume without it being coconutty or basic. This has converted me into a fan of Ellis Brooklyn. I was kind of hesitant to get into the brand until this. It really does give the vibe that the marketing photos give off. Light, airy, fluffy, salty, coastal... yet still chic, elevated, sophisticated, luxe... I think this is easily Ellis Brooklyn's best release I've smelled. The truly perfect summer vanilla fragrance. The only thing lacking is the performance. Very intimate silage and limited longevity - only about 2 hours or so. Rating: 9.5/10 (docking a half point for longevity)

Beautifully reminiscent of a high end resort or living in Spain or Italy ( even if I have never lived there lol). Love that the scent is alluring yet classy...doesn't remind of boring sunscreen scents like MM beach walk. Smells like a guy wearing a white button down shirt or a pretty woman in a flowing white dress wearing manolo heels. Smells like ocean waves being laced with vanilla/ whipped cream goodness. I have worn this scent and I have been told this is my signature and that I smelt expensive. My friend also stated that this would be the perfect scent for attracting a rich partner ;) If you want the scent to linger on your clothes for days on end. 6-7 hours on skin.Classy yacht scent!

I was worried this wouldn't have much strength/longevity but wow! I sprayed exactly one spray earlier on my arm and I could still smell it strongly for at least an hour, even with my sleeve down. It's been several hours now and I can still smell it when I pull my sleeve up. I'd say it may even be stronger than the other two EB perfumes I have (Miami Nectar and Guava Granita). I'm not a gourmand girl and this is a perfect vanilla for me. It's a bit sweet (not too much), a bit salty, definitely gives clean girl vanilla to me. Looking forward to trying it on my clothes and with more sprays in the future to see just how far it can really go! But first true wear test is great.

This is soapy to me. Sweet and a bit salty. This is not Salt and Vanilla Milk combined at all. I'm not picking up either previous scent in this. This seems like it stands on its own. I'm not getting milky at all. Maybe cool whip, so it's a bit creamy and airy. This is closer to what I hoped Dear Sky would smell like. This is not strong on my skin, but I get light whiffs as I move around, from what I sprayed on my clothes. I like it, but it's not their best scent. It doesn't have a huge impact like Salt, Sweet, Or Sunfruit. It's going to be great for days I know I will be in close quarters to others. I see this as a great office or public transit scent!

I don't know why this is getting so much hate. It's a woody aquatic vanilla in the same vein as Levante by 1942 Nobiles, Antiqua Bay by Morph, or Vanilla Monsoon by Salum. I'm not getting much floral at all on paper or my skin, it's a salty woody vanilla scent, def not a mix between salt and vanilla milk, it's not nearly as lactonic. An easy reach and good if you'd like to try a sweet creamy vanilla without going all in on the gourmand trend.

This is a beautiful, aromatic vanilla. It’s ever so slightly gourmand but I wouldn’t consider it a true gourmand. It’s a clean, unique vanilla for those of us who dislike sickly sweet vanilla scents. The salt/mineral notes are subtle and well blended. Not too salty, not too floral, not too sweet. Perfectly balanced. I don’t love vanilla during the Summer but this one is an exception. Bonus points for it not being sunscreen-y! I love it!

This is so beautiful, it is now my bedtime scent, I put it on at 9pm and it was still strong at 5am when I got up, it gets even better as the night goes on, it wears beautifully and is soft and sweet. I didn't realise I liked Salt as a note, now i have to go and find lots of other fragrances with it!

a softer take on Alien Goddess EDP by Mugler + a delicious whipped vanilla note = Vanilla Salt! price point is a little steep for me, but I absolutely will be grabbing a bottle when it goes on sale. 10/10 for the scent and it’s still going strong after 4 hours since being sprayed on my clothes.

Elegant, fluffy, salty vanilla. It’s creamy, but not milky. It is not sweet enough to evoke ice cream, so that was a miss by the marketing team. It should have been released at the end of spring. I will upgrade my travel spray to a full bottle next summer.

Very similar to JHAG Vanilla Vibes. The first 5-10 seconds its kinda masculine to my nose due to the marine and salty notes, but then it calms down and becomes more creamy and warm, leans more feminine. This can totally be worn all year round. Love it!

i didnt like this the first time i smelled it, but then i recently tried again and i love it. it's a sweet but slightly salty/fresh vanilla. i'm iffy on salty/marine scents but this is fantastic. it's super strong too so you don't need too much.

in the opening it’s very aquatic and soapy but i still smell vanilla through it. i actually love the opening it smells so chique. after a while it smells like eating a vanilla ice cream sitting at the beach. it’s soooo good!!

This reminds me of a more elevated version of Fantasy by Britney Spears. I know that sounds weird like I've lost my mind but I kept sniffing my arm like hold on, I KNOW this scent and then it finally hit me

Nothing like a vanilla cone or icecream - thank God! Think more of a vanilla scented shower gel - beautifully clean, bubbly, with that fine vanilla hint. Beautiful and not cloying creamy summer scent!🌸🩷

This is likely the best "salty" vanilla scent on the market. I am not into the aquatic, salty, solar scents anymore. After a 3rd round with COVID and a 2nd that really destroyed my sense - I cannot do the salty solar aquatic blend. I let go of Divine by JPG and Idole Aura by Lancome due to this - so I figured this would be a big no - and while I do love it - it is still a no and will be going back - however, I would be remiss if I did not express how perfectly gorgeous this is. The opening is soooo good - if I could just PAUSE IT there, but then it dries down and down and down into a salty, sick smell. The vanilla is 100% true to that, it's like a vanilla bean ice cream opened fresh and a spoon in it - so so so nice. I think the whipped cream also helps dull the "salt" and solar notes, but not enough (for me), and that's okay because it is literally called - vanilla SALT - so it does what it's supposed to do! Longevity was not very long, 2-4 hours - I recently also grabbed Queens Caramel, and it is STUNNING, but I am also returning it just to go down to a travel spray - it doesn't last, way overpriced, and it's not really a daily/monthly wearable scent, and this is sort of in that same realm. Gorgeous, and way better than Queens Caramel, but - just doesn't work - FOR ME. But others - vanilla and soft skin lovers - will adore this!

Editing now that I finally got my nose on this! After Ulta cancelled my first order, it was magically back in stock the next day and my FB just arrived today. I try to avoid blind buying but I Loove salty vanillas. This is quite different from most of my favorites like Tres Chere, Olympia, Sel Vanille and Bosca Vanilla, and I struggle to smell any salt in this. It comes across more as coconut water here. As soon as I sniffed it, I couldn’t shake how much it reminds me of the Valentino Donna Born in Roma “the Gold” flanker from last year but with some added citrus. It is very light and fleeting but does give you a tropical, just came from the pool vibe without smelling directly like sunscreen. The vanilla is not super sweet. Overall, this is a nice unisex summer freshie. Unfortunately it does vanish almost immediately, but when I can smell it on myself, it is a nice comforting hug of a smell. I’ll use this in place of other body mists when I need a little pick-me-up spritz. Like but not love... 💔

I finally got my hands on Vanilla Salt and I find it to be pleasant, elegant and versatile. It's a sweet, creamy vanilla with a few dew drops of freshness (think DG's Light Blue) mixed in. It's reminding me a little bit of the vibe of Rare by Rare Beauty but with a slight citrus and jasmine coming through and without the sandalwood. I really like this for spring and summer and can see it being an easy reach. Longevity on skin and clothes is pretty long-lasting on me as well, several hours at least. I'm really happy to find a creamy vanilla with no plasticky smell and no woodsiness. I already own Vanilla Woods and while I enjoy it, sometimes the woods/earth aspect is too prominent for my liking. Vanilla Salt feels more fresh and creamy and I am enjoying it. This is my first EB fragrance and I am happy with my purchase. I could see myself getting the full size once I've completed the 10 ml. Definitely a safe blind buy for a 10 ml and would make a great gift as well!

Take one part Olympéa and one part Burberry Goddess, mix them together, and you’ve got Vanilla Salt. It’s a really lovely perfume. First spray for me was a strong, noticeable salt note wrapped in a cosy, warm vanilla. Definitely beachy. It smells like your skin after a dip in the ocean while you’re eating a vanilla ice cream cone. Soft, salty, and sun-kissed. I honestly think this should have been a summer release. I’ve been testing a sample, and it works nicely for these warmer autumn days, but I can imagine it truly blooms in the heat. I really enjoy it, but the price tag is hefty, so it’s not an immediate must-buy. Maybe one for later down the line when I’m feeling indulgent. A beautiful balance of sweet and sea breeze!

Well, I really like this, but I think it can also be a tough one for many people. It has a certain airy, musky, synthetic component within it that might be hard to detect for some folks, or maybe too strong for others. As for me, it's pleasant and adds an outdoorsy, beachy texture to the composition. It's addictively sweet&salty all at once, and personally sits beautifully on my skin. There's a hint of something floral, enough to round this out, but I would refrain from claiming that this is a floral perfume overall. It's aquatic and dry simultaneously. Like, salted warm air near the beach, alongside vanilla butter cookies.

I would definitely classify this as a gourmand, not due to the vanilla, but for the salt. Very edible smelling, almost like salt seasoning an enhanced skin scent. Vanilla is not the deeper darker kind, but also not the artificial clear synthetic vanilla scent. Just a light presence of vanilla with the salt as the spotlight. Very marine-like at initial spray but that quickly dries down within 20 seconds to the skin scent. Mild white floral base going on, although not to be feared if indolic flowers are undesired. It's a light touch that is overpowered by whipped cream scent.

Reminds me of the sea salt ice cream bars from Kingdom Hearts. <3 It's a very fresh, oceanic vanilla. Probably one of the better ones of this genre (Olympea is nice but heavy on the ginger; Divine is similar but has a meringue note). It really does smell like having a salted vanilla soft serve in a waffle cone while at the beach. And no, there is no sour milk vibe like that other vanilla Ellis perfume. This could layer nicely with some other beachy/tropical perfumes. Longevity is okay, and dries down to a creamy musk.

(Annoyingly) Left the first review expressing excitement for the imminent release, and now Im here to finally give my thoughts! This is absolute definition Oriental Vanilla; Like a Vanillic Issey Miyake offering. Reminds my nose alot of ‘Mod Vanilla.’ Keyword being reminds 💜 This isn't just ‘Vanilla Milk’ and ‘Salt’ blended together, but instead its own sensory experience. Wear with either the ‘Vanilla Milk’ or ‘Salt’ body oils to lean into your preferred facet. 😇

It’s so freaking good. I was nervous I’ll admit did a blind buy. I hate blind buying and wasting money but anyways it was on sale and it was on my list... this is perfect I think it is a vanilla beach perfume scent ... its soft and airy and sweet but I wouldn’t think like bakery sweet more like a light stroll with a salted vanilla ice cream cone in hand in a small coastal downtown area where there is pretty flowers in full bloom... a whole mood.

Very airy and light vanilla. Commercially and conventionally acceptable vanilla scent. I'd recommend it as an office safe vanilla due to how mildly sweet it is. I think the marketing as a sweet, rich girl vanilla is a bit off; it would have been better to describe it as a minimal clean girl vanilla.

My partner and I daily wear both Ellis Brooklyn Salt and Vanilla Milk. This is an earth shaking release for us, can’t wait ! 🥰

I work in the entertainment field. Men say i smell really good with this one

This fragrance takes you on a very strange and unique scent journey. If you look at the others that it is getting compared to, a wide variety of DNAs are represented. I think that some are reading the salt note as coconut. And some are reading the woody notes as aromatic or lavender. It actually reminds me of Showgirl and Libre EDT, because somewhere in the background, my brain keeps going to lavender. So if you hate lavender, or aromatic fragrances like Phlur Soft Spot or Forvr Mood You Remind Me, I would recommend staying away. I currently only own a travel size but I may end up getting a full sized bottle. I already own so many “aromatic musk”, but I’m definitely enjoying wearing this particular interpretation.

Beach girl vibes. I enjoy the opening salt note and that it's free from any seaweed or brine. It's my favorite part of the scent and I appreciate that it doesn't have the aromachemical that seems to lead every aquatic scent right now (iso E?). There's no coconut in the notes but this scent is so beachy that my brain is convinced it's there. Slowly some subtle florals get in there. I don't generally like florals, but these are playing nicely in the warm vanilla background. It gives the impression of warm skin at the beach without going overtly sunscreen. Pleasant but not my vibe.

Is it really enough of a vanilla to be its namesake? I would call it an airy white amber. It's...fine. While I guess it's technically in the "your skin but better" category, it still feels like more of an atmospheric room/hotel type scent than something I would like to wear. Like a bright and airy beach hotel somewhere on the Atlantic. Deceivingly strong, as I had a hard time washing it off after several hours. Reminds me of Luminae and Ghostfire/Foxfire by Alkemia, which I would recommend before Vanilla Salt.

At first it seemed pretty nice but then the salt note took it over and it bothered me. Something in salt note makes me nauseous. The same was with Lancôme’s Idole Aura perfume and now this one. On the other hand, it’s very unique and interesting scent that makes me keep coming back and sniff it more. It is summery beach scent. Reminds me of Hamptons, St. Augustine Beach or Cape Cod. This is the vibe I get, and I would keep trying it on even thought it’s not one of my favourites. 6/10.

almost entirely nose-searingly marine floral on me, if there's any vanilla to speak of i can barely find it in here. also a fair bit headache inducing. i do like the salty watery top notes but not enough to endure the hot middle jasmine that doesn't soften much with time, but stays harshly linear on me. there's a Poesie EDP called Goldfish Princess that isn't on here (and they don't make it anymore), but i like it so much more, for a far softer milder and more gourmand marine.

As someone who is addicted to Salt and loves vanillas, I was soooo ready to love this... but sadly, it leans cheap and flat to my nose. It doesn't last more than twenty minutes on me and has very basic, uninspired notes. I should have bought Vanilla Milk.

Smells like you’re standing in the ocean water, lathered in a minty sunscreen, drinking a vanilla milkshake. Why this wasn’t released 3 months ago is beyond me.

This is a lot sharper than I anticipated - don’t get much vanilla. Do get more with the dry down but it’s minimal. Almost a medicinal scent to it with my nose.

Vanilla where??? For a perfume with Vanilla in the name this smells very little of vanilla- it is hardly there. This scent is 99% salt. Vanilla Salt has a very harsh, brash aquatic/soapy opening (a lot like a bottle of men's blue colored "aquatic" deodorant). The salt is also very strong. The harsh aquatic/soapy opening dies down a bit and then it is just salt. Eventually the jasmine comes through a bit... But mostly this perfume smells of salt. It is a dry scratchy, strongly salty scent- like sticking your nose in a jar of sea salt. Doesn't smell like the beach per say (scents that really smell like the ocean are much more nuanced), this just smells like salt. It if you want a remotely vanilla scent this is not it. But if you want a very strongly salt scent this might be up your alley. Also, as per the suggested/similar fragrances- Ellis Vanilla Salt smells nothing like Dedcool Mineral Milk. I love Dedcool Mineral Milk - it is one of my favorite scents. But I really do not like Ellis Vanilla Salt. Dedcool Mineral Milk and Vanilla Salt may be in the same category of beachy/salty scents but they do NOT smell very similar. Mineral Milk is but softer and much more well blended. Ellis Vanilla Salt is much harsher, brasher.
