Amaranthine

This is a really fruity, floral, musky masterpiece. For me this is a fresh perfume that reminds me of a sunny, beautiful spring or summer day. Somewhat sweet but not overly so.

This really reminds me of Caswell Massey Peony but instead of berries with peony it's peach with peony. Amaranthine is also quite musky which I like a lot. Not a trace of ambroxan here, at least to my nose. Chantilly musk, ambrette musk and other sweet type musks permeate and cloak The florals and fruits in this perfume. I get Violet here as well It comes in and out but this is more about the peaches and the peony in my opinion so I don't really get the name amaranthine which means deep purple or immortal. It has two meanings. I get shades of peach, soft pink and maybe a touch of a very soft grayish violet color instead of a deep rich purple. This is extremely pretty and I like it quite a lot. It would be a great daytime fragrance for spring and summer very office friendly. I don't see anyone being offended by this. Well except for people who are offended by all perfumes but let's face it we know as perfume lovers those people are something of hypochondriacs. Very fresh, very fruity, very light florals very musky, quite refreshing and feminine. A workhorse in a feminine collection. This is also "fresher" and doesn't have the heavy green amber base that Caswell Massey Peony has. I will be wearing this all day tomorrow or the day after. Can't wait. This one just might be FB worthy.

Amaranthine also means "durable" or "long lasting". Which I suppose could refer to how long it lasts...or just that it represents a long lasting or eternally blissful state associated with the scent? I have been looking for a peach-centric scent, but the lychee is a bit worrying.
