Fresh & Cozy

In healthcare I get to smell a lot of smells, and I mean to note only the good ones. In the past year I have noted several people who said their scent was a mix of an EOS lotion with their fragrance. I wasn’t interested in a drugstore lotion and their perfume of choice was noted but not for me. this past week I realized I needed to investigate as I fell head over heals over yet another eos lotion and perfume combo. This persons was eos raspberry and pomegranate lotion and Carolina Herrera good girl black heel bottle. Alone, none of those catch my attention. I told her I don’t smell fruit or the perfume specifically but she smelled delightful. She said the eos lotion was amazing and she loved to wear “fresh and cozy” at night. I made a stop to smell them, as I recalled the vanilla one being in someone’s past combo. This was interesting because it actually smells like cake batter, which is not my cup of tea. So I went on to smell the pomegranate raspberry which was very fruity and confusing as that’s not what she smelled like no nor do I want to. And I took a sniff of the rest to be sure. Fresh and cozy is the perfect perfume base. Now I realize I have a type. It describes itself as like a sunlight room in musk or something. I cannot pick out the notes, but it is a musk of some sort. I seem to love musk not knowing what it is. My first fave fragrance being Egyptian musk. This is not that but is a fresh smell that knows how to anchor in on your own skin mussk so that your fragrance is not sitting above you but instead an extension of you. That is my favorite thing! I can’t describe that. Maybe like an Ombré of your human smell into a fragrance. This is what I’ve been trying to find, something that creates a scent I can enjoy myself all day when I go nose blind to the other things I love. This, in lotion form, is better at blending a unique scent for me than anything else I’ve tried. Helluva price-fragrance win. Speaking for the lotion *

I’m in LA for a week and stopped into a Target. I was honestly shocked by how enormous the bath and body section in the US has become. So many aisles of body washes, oils, lotions, and body mists! I think I sampled nearly all of the mists, and mostly everything fell into two camps: dessert or sunscreen. Either aggressively edible or aggressively beachy, neither of which I'm drawn to. Fresh & Cozy by EOS was one of the few that did something different. At first spray I wasn’t even sure I liked it, as it came off slightly plasticky for a second, and strangely formless. But something about that ambiguity stuck with me, and for $12.99 I threw it in my basket as a casual trip refresher. After two days, I’m kind of obsessed with it. It avoids the ubiquitous gourmand direction. It’s ambient and spatial....like a background condition rather than a perfume. The name is unusually accurate: it doesn’t smell like a thing, it smells like a state, and I feel like that’s weirdly sophisticated for an super-affordable mist. It’s not a powerhouse fragrance of course, and with this type of fragrance profile, I don't think you'd want to be. It’s meant to be sprayed with abandon, the way you’d splash water on your face. The official note pyramid reads like pure emotional suggestion (“morning light, clean linen, dewy cassis, lily of the valley, sheer musk, ambrette”), but obviously none of those actually materialize in a literal way. I can’t point to a flower, fruit, or detergent...it just makes the surrounding air feel calmer and pretty. The formula of the EOS mists are also all nice (with glycerin, aloe, and hyaluronic acid) and it actually feels good on skin, dissimilar to a lot of other cheap alcohol-heavy mists. And the bottle is a great match for the concept. It's simple and soft-shaped (not the soulless cylindrical bottles you find at B&BW that always feel disposable). It feels much nicer than what I expected a $12.99 mist to be.

They've come a long way since the ball lip balms of my high school years. This happens to be the most unique out of all the EOS scents, where the others act more like dupes for current gourmand favorites. It actually makes me think of the original Tommy perfumes, both men and women's styles. BIG Y2K callback, non-aquatic, clean floral musk, and surprisingly soothing as well. I think I finally found that freshy something to complement/rival my cherished bottle of Ralph for the warm weather ahead. ETA: in a spring heat wave, and for heat waves to come, this DOES smells absolutely amazing. Musky scents don't always fare well in warm weather. The only other scent to do this successfully for me is Jovan White Musk for Men. Again, reminiscent of the 90s-00 archetype of clean shower, floral-ish musks. And then, another wonderful addition/development; for my nose, the body mist in its middle smells so, so close to the original Sexy Little Things Noir by Victoria's Secret, sadly discontinued, sorely missed, and IMO superior to Noir Tease. That was my scent for junior prom, and was I pleasantly surprised to smell something so familiar. Unfortunately it's more like a faint echo of SLT Noir, but that alone was enough to conjure the memory. Now the body wash and lotions don't carry the exact same profile as the mist for some reason (heavier on the linen and musk than sweetness), but I still find them pleasant and interesting to wear. That mist is starting to carry its weight in cheapie gold though.

This fragrance is surprisingly beautiful, gentle, and truly cozy. I can wear this to work in a cubicle environment with no issues from sensitive noses (as far as I am aware!); I also occasionally reach for this at night before bed, especially in combination with the body wash and lotion. My boyfriend also likes this scent, he thinks it’s pleasant and sweet (as in pleasant). I personally find that the linen note shines, while the sweetness of the blackcurrant supports it nicely. It’s a surpassingly enjoyable fragrance, considering I don’t care a ton for their other scents (they’re fine objectively! Just not for me). I can wear it alone for a close, unironically fresh scent, or as a base layer for other fragrances, depending on how I feel. I could lean more into the fruity or sweet notes with my Coach Dreams Sunset, or emphasize the freshness with Clean’s Warm Cotton. Truly a 9/10, I would genuinely be interested to see this in a hypothetical EDP! Love.

i loveeee fresh and cozy!! i’ve loved the lotion for a few years, so when i saw they were coming out with a body spray version i had to get it. fresh and cozy is a beautiful, clean, laundry-adjacent scent, and it truly is both fresh AND cozy. i don’t wear the mist alone because it obviously doesn’t have the best longevity, but it layers well with multiple perfumes in my collection. i think my favorite perfume combos i’ve tried are with Snif Rose Era, Nemat White Musk, or Juliette has a Gun Pear Inc.

This is one of my all time favorite fragrances ever! It perfectly captures “fresh and cozy” to me. It absolutely lives up to the hype. It smells better than fragrances 10x the price. I would describe it as very fresh, feminine yet not overly so, with a delicate touch of musk. Definitely gives fresh out of the shower in a freshly washed pajama set. It really functions well for both day and night as well as year round.

I initially got the shave oil in this scent thinking it would be the most neutral option to not throw off whatever perfume I actually wore. But immediately after smelling it I went back out to get the body mist. My only complaint is that it’s just a body mist and the longevity is not there. The scent itself is incredible. Clean yet cozy and still feminine.

I really like this, very easy to throw on. I loveeee the lotion and body wash, and sometimes when brands make a body mist, it doesn’t translate well, but this absolutely did! It layers great with other skin type scents, and it’s literally fresh and cozy lol.

EOS needs to make this into a perfume! I'm stuck on this stuff. It can be worn in any season, night, or day in my opinion. I have the body wash lotion, and spray. Highly recommend layering it with VS LOVE !

F&C is so, so pretty. It makes me think of a quiet, but exceedingly kind-hearted person who enjoys family and gentle activities like crocheting. It has a fresh laundry undertone, even from the opening. The "linen" thing is quite obvious. It also has gentle ("gentle" is the operative term for this entire fragrance) fruit accord too, but it never juts out at you, it's covered by the linen. There's also something airy about this entire composition, it wafts though the air beautifully (my daughter wears this and I can smell it trailing behind her). For the price I especially enjoy this, but it truly holds it's own against any designer fragrance. It's SO nice.

I blind bought this as I had no way of testing this and this disappointed me quite a lot. It IS cheap so it might be weird to say so but it smells particularly cheap in a sharp cleaning product? detergent sort of way. Dislike the scent and see the resemblance to Davidoff Cool Water which I also similarly dislike. Not worth 13$ on amazon in my opinion. Would have understood if it were like 5$.

I’ve been wanting to post a review about F&C for a while but I don’t know how to describe the scent! Fresh/Cozy kindof give the description in itself. It smells like getting out of an everything shower and putting on a white t shirt on a warm spring day. Shampooey linen and sunshine. The lotion adds an extra of warm skin smell when it soaks in a bit. Combining the lotion and body spray is heavenly! I will need to try the body wash soon. I believe I read a comment that mentioned F&C smelling like the prettiest kindest girl you know and I agree with that. In a way it reminds me of the old Fresh&Clean VS Pink body spray (the one in the square bottle). A very easy wear and appropriate for all occasions 🩷 100000% recommend.
