Regal Tuberose

After trying Madonna's Truth, Gianni Versace's Blonde and Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower as well as many others... Regal Tuberose is one that is somewhat different. Madonna's Truth is bold, a huge tuberose that you either love it or hate it. Though it is said that Truth resembles Fracas which Madonna adores, I cannot comment on it for I do not have the chance to try it. Blonde is nice but something about it is not exactly what I am looking for. Carnal Flower is dreamy to my nose, would have love it to bits but my skin does not seem to smell as good as it smell on the blotter. I happened to chance upon Regal Tuberose by chance at a very good deal. It was a blind buy, one that I do not regret at all. Regal Tuberose is a refreshing youthful take on the flower, while it is delicate and a little fleeting, I am nicely surprised by the staying power. Just when I thought the perfume is gone, I caught a whiff of it as I turned, as if reminding me gently that it is still there. At the end of the day (8 hours), a light musky skin scent is left on my arm. A compliment gather too. A recommended quality Tuberose scent.

I don't feel that I can summon words that are worthy of this fragrance, except to say that it is a masterful and very different take on tuberose. This is not the heavy, brash and creamy tuberose that one expects from a tuberose-centric fragrance, instead, it's a young, green, slightly sweet tuberose that is sheer, instead of smothering. This is definitely not Fracas. Regal has just enough (non-indolic) jasmine and papyrus to keep it light, soft, and verdant. The tiniest touches of patch and oakmoss appear in the base. I don’t really detect the patch as an individual note; it just gives the fragrance a sense of depth. The sillage for me is moderate – you’d have to really dose yourself to overdo this tuberose – and the longevity is excellent (12+ hours). This is a seasonless beauty that has quickly become an HG for me. Eric Buterbaugh is said to have told the perfumers who worked on this collection that cost of materials was no object. Once you try Regal, you quickly understand what a $300 perfume *should* smell like. It's dear, but it's worth every penny.

This is everything everyone else said here and more. It is really a beautiful and unusual take on a tuberose scent. Honorine Blanc did for Tuberose what Francis Kurkdjian did for Gardenia in Elie Saab's Essence No. 2 Gardenia. She took a normally heavy floral note and made it light and fresh, while still managing to retain the essence and opulence and richness of that creamy, lush flower. Perfectly proportioned, perfectly balanced, as light and sheer as chiffon, and just as soft. I think this can be worn anytime, anywhere, both work and play, since there is no high drama here. Just a beautiful floral that creates a lovely gossamer aura around you. Full bottle and signature scent worthy in my book. This is one I'll be replacing with a fb after this travel sprayer is done.

Yes yes yes I agree with both previous reviewers! Regal Tuberose is the most gorgeous, stunning tuberose I've ever smelled, and I've smelled lots!! (Who hasn't?) This is so fresh and delicate!! It's usually a bit too heavy and pungent for me, but not this one - it's divine!!!! So alive and fresh and young smelling, almost fragile in a way, yet deep and rich at the same time. It's glorious. And it lasts very very well. I've worn it a couple of times, lately, and have received many many compliments! I love it, it's stunning!!

On me this starts out with a light burnt rubber note but thank goodness it doesn't last too long...it is too dreamy. Even if you're not a huge tuberose fan you can love this. It is very light but still manages to be noticeable. Tuberose can sometimes overpower, but not here. It it blended so beautifully. Perfect in heat. Perfect any time you just want a pretty beautiful light floral - emphasis on beautiful

Amazing tuberose with a nice citrus top note. It does lean feminine but im a man and i wore this on my wedding day because my wife loved it on me.

I agree with the review below, I can see a man wearing this. Unisex for me. I like florals on Men anyway but this has a peppery grapefruit and enough woodiness to keep it from being to feminine leaning. A very fresh green wooded garden with tuberose, jasmine and oakmoss. A unique and very unisex take on tuberose. Quite citrus forward as well which keeps it shower fresh and clean.

From vial not much tuberose, maybe a hint? More of a light airy citrus. On, much the same, can’t smell tuberose, but it’s a pleasant lemony citrus over a sweet floral that’s not distinctly tuberose. Pretty, but mostly citrus w a white floral in the same vein as LCaP, but smells nothing like it, just that same light fresh type of scent. Of modest sillage, a veil type scent. A few minutes in a little of the Concord grapey quality I love in some tuberose, but still v lemony, and not enough tuberose. 9hr later a skinscent but identifiably the same scent remains. 6.5/10. Original review was from 2015 and decided to revisit this frag 2 years later. The opening is much the same, a breezy citrus with little to no tuberose, but this time noticed a shy tuberose emerge after a few minutes. Then after about 30m the scent had gotten much sweeter and an identifiable tuberose was much more present. It still had its opening citrus freshness and sparkle but now with a defined tuberose had become v pretty, and represented a nice evolution. 7.5/10.

This is the "sea foam green" decorative french soap that comes in the fancy wooden box of nondescript french soaps. Soapy. Many soaps. Kind of a vintage chypre feel. Very office friendly "just showered" fresh take on tuberose. Hard pass; but more because it's not my thing personally <3

Oh how I hate to say it, but this was a massive disappointment for me. I love tuberose and was looking forward to a fresher, transparent take with citrus and green notes, but this doesn't actually read as tuberose on my skin. Rather, it smells like freesia, and a plastic-y freesia at that. Reminds me of freesia based floral fragrances of the 90's. Bummer.

I agree with the previous review: this is a stunning fragrance. The addition of the grapefruit is inspired and lends the fragrance a sparkling, green top. It really is like pushing your face into a bunch of fresh, green tubereuse with stems, floralcy and a bit of the soil clinging to the tubers.

I never liked white floral perfumes and almost detest tuberose BUT I love this. This is so refreshing and clean but in a very luxury way as even a floral scent hater like me is in love with this. I love peppery beginning which last pretty long throughout the day. Silage is great.
