Sorbetto Rosso

I loved the fresh aquatic feeling of this and the prominent watermelon note! It was perfect for summer! This was the first Escada perfume I had gotten. I got it when I was 14 and wore it mostly throughout 10th grade and especially in 10th grade summer. I still have it and it brings back strong, but sweet, memories. 🥰 Only thing is longevity and sillage is very weak, which is unfortunately common with the Escada limited edition fragrances that they release every year, maybe due to the fact that they’re all eau de toilettes. On top of that, I would only spray it a 2-4 times. It only lasted 2-3 hours max. Most people said they couldn’t really smell much or thought it was a body mist from Bath and Body Works since it was so light. I would love to find another fresh summer watermelon fragrance that hopefully has better longevity, so if anyone reading this has any recommendations, feel free to pm me or write a review under this! 💖 Scent: 7.5/10 (Lovely but light and lacks depth) Longevity: 2/10 Sillage: 3/10 Price: 3/10 (Went for about $90 back when it came out but I got it at a discount) School Friendly! This is my summer signature scent - it's very sweet but also fresh and aquatic without being too much of a "sporty" fragrance. To me, it's like sour watermelon candy with a touch of citrus and a bit of light florals to make it a bit more perfumey. Because of the watermelon and fruits (the strawberry is present, even though it's not immediately recognisable) it's almost like a fresh gourmand, if that's a thing. I don't get any of the amber, musk or praline mentioned as the base notes. I got this primarily for the watermelon note, and I'm happy to report that this note is present from the beginning to the end and isn't lost as the fragrance developes, even though the flowers do become a bit more prominent towards the end. It's definitely girly and not at all sophisticated or elegant - it wouldn't be out of place on a pre-teen, but I also feel like the right person could could pull this off at any age. Watermelon Lollipop by Demeter doesn't even come close to this - even though the Demeter one is purely sweet watermelon candy, the watermelon here is so much stronger, even though it's blended with other things. In terms of longevity, the Demeter one is gone within 15 minutes, and this one is noticeable to others for over 5 hours on clothes, in my experience. So Sorbetto Rosso is definitely the better choice!

I ordered 3 Escada summer fragrances. Taj sunset, Miami Blossom and this one. I wasn't sure I did a good thing, because for a light Eau de toilette those weren't the cheapest. But immediately after they arrived, I knew I would not regret, at least as far as the scent itself goes. I was on the hunt for watermelon perfume and this one really did not disappoint me. It is straight up watermelon with sugar. The only thing is, that it disappears very very fast. It's more of a overpriced body spray. It's definitely the weakest of the three I bought. The bottles look gorgeous all together. But I feel like those fragrances are more just for my nose, I don't think people around me will smell it much, unless I really overspray. As the person below me, I would love to get some recommendations for watermelon perfume. I would love to find something that has a watermelon as strong as it is here. For example D&G L'imeratrice I bought as watermelon perfume and I don't get any of it, I was very disappointed

If you’re down on your luck and need guaranteed compliments on how you smell... Behold, Escada Sorbetto Rosso. It’s a candy sweet fruity watermelon sugar bomb, but it is delicious. This would certainly be out of place outside of a warm summery casual climate, as it is so saccharine. Like... don’t wear this to a board meeting as it’s pretty unserious. Fragrance snobs may roll their eyes at you, but this is the definition of a cheap compliment getter in my book. I gave a travel size decant of this to a friend and she used it up within a couple weeks. As far as what I think about it, it’s very uplifting and a fun pick me up. It does not last long at all, but the scent and throw are lightweight enough to spray in public without causing a scene. Shamelessly love this one!

I have never been an Escada girl and this fragrance has not changed that. I got it as a gift from my mothers sister so it gives me good vibes because of that but the fragrance itself is nothing that I would look twice at or even consider to try. At first it smelled exactly like Hollisters Crescent Bay. A fragrance my sister wears that I absolutely despice. When it settles it is way less disturbing which is nice but then again; I don't usually look for fragrances that are just bearable. Watermelon is really strong on me as well as sea salt. It is nice toward the end when the musk and amber comes through. Will I buy it again? No. Will I wear it? Sometimes during the summer but mostly because it was a gift. If you like Escada you will probably enjoy this.

This is a truly lovely watermelon scent. The watermelon is front and foremost through the whole cycle. Backing it is soft florals. What ever I wear this scent my 10 year old says, "Mom, can I take a bite out of you?" Me: "No!" Him: " Not even a nibble?" Me: " No!" Him: "Well then, can we go to the store and buy a watermelon????? PLEEEEEEEZE?!?!?" Me: "Put on your shoes, surgical gloves and mask...we're going to the Farmers Market" Him: "Yay!!!! Watermelon and a trip out of the house...this is the best day ever!!!!" Hey, in tough times like these, it's the little things that we derive joy from....to wear fragrance for no particular reason...a big, cold juicy watermelon and a happy kiddo!

Fruity flirty sweet playful fragrance for the summer! It’s watermelon with hints of strawberry and pear , the initial spray is sweeter than the dry down. It has great longevity and sillage on my skin. Husband loves it on me. It definitely reminds me of going to a fruit market on the Italian coast or a beach. This is a fragrance all ages can wear for different events, not everything is meant to be serious all the time🙄 I can see an elegant older lady dressed in all white with a sun hat in designer shades wearing this and I can also picture a 20 something girl in a sundress wearing this. Absolutely delightful, the candy like sweetness is done in a brilliant manner not too juvenile at all.

Yummy sour watermelon candies! I've always loved Escada summer perfumes, but I was a bit disappointed by the ones that came out over the last couple of years (the last two or three have all smelled like a generic fruity spray to me). I was honestly THRILLED when I tested Sorbetto Rosso and was able to smell something that wasn't just "fruit." My boyfriend really loves it too, and we both definitely get that Jolly Rancher vibe from it. No, it's not a serious or sophisticated perfume. But it's so fun! Bright, sparkly and youthful, there's perhaps a whisper of pear and strawberry but it's mostly a sweet, aquatic watermelon. Perfect for a cheerful and breezy summer day!

I love this! It is so sweet and juicy - young and fresh! This fragrance does not change or lose it's sweetness like many do. What you smell is what you get. And It doesn't dry down to a rotten synthetic smell like some other sweet perfumes do. The notes are blended very well, with watermelon being prominent. This scent lasts and lasts! I went to bed with this on and kept getting sweet whiffs of watermelon while drifting to sleep, and I could still smell it on my skin when I woke in the morning - It was on my shirt until I washed it. Worth the price for quality perfume oils. If you want to smell sweet and edible this is for you! It's a very pleasant summer fragrance.

First impression: normally I don't really like perfumes with the watermelon note in them, they are too fresh and aquatic for my taste. However, after sampling Sorbetto Rosso, I can safely conclude that I love the note in this one, as this is quite sweet and juicy, playfull. It smells exactly like the green watermelon bubblegum I used to buy at a small buffet at highschool. So nostalgic! Not a "serious" fragrance, but still a very lovely one, nice for summer. I also kind of detect a strawberry element in this. :) I may really get a full bottle of this, even though this is not "the kind" I normally wear.

We don’t have Jolly Ranchers in my country so I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this. Everyone is saying it smells like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. It does smell like kind of shampoo-y reminds me of a detangling spray that my mum might have used on me growing up. Smells also like the taste of a sour watermelon gummy lolly. The main note I get is green apple shampoo and watermelon lollies. Love for summer. This is the first successful bling buy for me. I would be keen to try other Escada fragrances since buying this. Love at first sniff!

This smells like jolly rancher hard candies but in a good way. One of the few fruity scents that doesn't smell childish. This scent is more in line for Summer days but I like to wear it bed during the coolers months. It is a sweet scent just like sorbet would be but it's not cavity inducing sweet. I smell the sharpness of the green apple but it in no way do dominates. Watermelon is singing lead with strawberry as a lip syncing back up. What can I say, I am an Oriental scent girl at heart but sometimes I cheat with scents like this.

I love this fragrance! This fragrance to me smells like a refined watermelon jolly rancher, which I happen to like. It is fruity first, then it has some fresh notes to balance it out. It is definitely very summery and sweet like candy. I think this is one of the more unique fragrances because it doesn't have those musky and heavy undertones in the base notes that I can detect. It is definitely very fruity and bright. I am sad that this is discontinued, but I love this fragrance because it makes me happy.

Back with an update. My fling with this had a shaky start I'll admit, never liked Escada. Why am I all of a sudden craving this? I'm reaching for this more and more often now that it's getting warmer. Today I reapplied four (4) times (!!) just because I couldn't get enough and I rarely reapply more than once. What is it about this scent? At first sniff it just smells like watermelon candy but now I'm getting more of the salt, pear and praline. I can see myself wearing this quite a lot this summer.

I do not detect any watermelon. What I can smell is a very intense apple mixed with pear and some berries note. It is sharp and fragrant, and fruity, and Summery. Unusual. It does not remind me of the sea. What it reminds me of is Nina, by Nina Ricci, but a little sharper and more intense. I am not generally for fruity fragrances, but I can happily wear this one, because it does not feel too overpowering and it is fresh, not headache inducing. A really lovely fragrance.

I absolutely love the limited edition Escadas for summer! I fell in love with this the second I smelled it. I wore it all summer. It's juicy, fresh watermelon and it smells sooooo good. I get pure watermelon and sugar from this. Like others have said, watermelon candy. Has really good lasting power and is very refreshing in the summer heat. I have 2 other LE Escada fragrances as well that I absolutely love and can't wait to see what their scent for 2019 is.

After going through a 1oz bottle of this I knew I had to get a full size while it was still around in the discount shops. Sad that they seem to discontinue all my favorites... I had been hunting around for other watermelon scents that might compare while I had my smaller bottle but, nothing will ever measure up to the level of sorbetto rosso! NOTHING compares to THIS watermelon for me. I will treasure this precious liquid watermelon gold while I have it.

This is pure watermelon candy in a bottle! If you like sweet, fruity, candy types of scents you will adore this! It smells like a mix of watermelon jolly ranchers / bubble yum with a slightly aquatic salty note hidden in the mix. This isn't for the sophisticated folks, this is for the girlies who love nostalgic fun scents and don't take it too seriously! Love it! Got about 4 hours of wear, can't wait to see how it wear in the summer months.

If you love sweet, fruity, watermelon, ozonic, and juicy fragrances, you'll like this. Yes, this might be a youthful scent, but I have been on the hunt for a good watermelon fragrance for a while. I am wearing this for me. Living in a hot humid region, this is going to be one of my beach/by the pool scents. I had luck finding it at my local store. They said it had been discontinued. Definitely will keep my eyes open for a backup.❤️🍉

I have to edit my original review. The first tester that I tried, a mini spray, was a mess of alcohol and chemicals with zero fruity notes. I went to another Ulta today and tried again. This time, I could smell the watermelon, and oh, was it delicious. After drydown, it smells of sugary watermelon candy - sweet, not tart. There's a hint of powder that is there as well. This is a skin scent, but a nice one.
