Cheval (Green)

I've not used Polo green, so can't say how close this is to the real one, but it smells amazing. Not too heavy on the pocket, and stays pretty long on my skin. I am not able to exactly identify the smell that I am loving so much, but it feels great. On skin it stays for 4-6 hrs and on body goes for 6+ hrs. At this price, I think it's really a great fragrance.

Opens very woodsy (pine?) and well....green which is quite loud but calms down quickly and loses the initial woodenness. Smells really nice in the dry down and has good staying power.

If you were to take the current Polo formulation and mash it with the original formulation you would get this middle of the pack clone. For the price it is not bad, it reminds me of the knock off brands you could purchase at Zellars or Kmart through the 80’s and 90’s with quirky brand names that clearly stated “our version of...”. As I often find with clones, this take on Polo is seeking the originals herbaceous green notes which takes out the balance required to make it a good interpretation. I do like that it flaunts parts of the original that are dormant in the new formulation, so for my own nostalgia I appreciate this affordable offering. If you are a HUGE fan of Polo than this is worth exploring, but ultimately it is not required for most and is dated making it not appealing to youthful enthusiasts. If you know Polo than you will get that this was clearly shooting for that vibe, but it is not good enough to be a fair contender to the king. Cheers all.

Herbal Green + Mint/Basil + Mint Candy Sweetness + Pimento + Cloves + Hint of Tobacco + a bunch of other ingredients added and melding together Early 80's Old school dna, the cheap department store aftershave kind. Very sweet basil base. Smells cheap, dated, with candy sweetness. Obviously with my nice lil collection of favorites i would never reach for this. I think it retails a bottle at $15. Smells okay, just really old school and tacky that an old man or old uncle who doesn't care about the fragrance options out there would only wear. If i was in middle school i might have actually enjoyed wearing this lol 1.5/5 Woofs

This is one of the first cheap Polo Green clones i've come across. But its not really a true clone although it makes an initial impression of Polo. Does not open with the same density and richness of Polo and carries a very cosmetic smell along side the Polo dry down smell. And the dry down only gets more feminine and synthetic. More cosmetics here. The classic Polo dry down is just completely gone. Although the fragrance uses several notes similar to Polo it just doesn't come close. Maybe 50% there. But thats it.. This could be a good fragrance if they can make it more masculine by taking off that cosmetic after smell.
