Debut by Night

Update: I *love* this now!!! This is definitely a cold weather fragrance; in warm weather the scent didn't feel as rounded and the cedar dominated too much (making the fragrance lean unisex). But now I've tried it in cooler weather.. wow, it blows me away! Amazing rose patchouli scent (although it's really hard to notice individual notes in this). To me, this is a gorgeous feminine scent - very well blended, hard to describe, super complex yet balanced, opulent elegant rich "perfume scent"! Sort of gives me Chanel vibes, for sure. If I concentrated, I was able to make out some of the notes (rose, patchouli & citrus definitely) but it's truly amazing how *nice* this scent is! The saying: 'the sum is greater than its parts' is definitely true in this case. I would definitely recommend this as an evening perfume to anyone looking for a stunning fragrance on a budget. It's worth the money for sure!

Waiting for the bus, a sophisticated woman in her late thirties stood next to me. Not a fashionmodeltype, but definitely classy and she smelled absolutely the best. It was so mesmerizing that I had to ask here what she wore, hoping there was a mens equivalent. It was Debut by night. So sad to see there is no Debut for men, because the notes could have easily make a mens fragrance in my opinion, and Etienne Aigner is one of my favorite fragrance houses. I have bought female fragrances before, if I really liked them, but for some reason I don't feel confident enough to wear them. That having said, this is absolutely the bomb for men, so I suggest ladies to wear this if they want to stand out, or is this too sexist. Anyway, it's a big 10 for me!

For a long time I have been keeping an eye on Aigner's perfumes, for those who do not yet know Aigner Munich in Europe is a luxury brand, while the separated company from the state... want to be one but not really, is a classic example of good management versus poor management even if those in the States have long been led by E.A. proof that the creator is not necessarily a good manager. Anyway, the Aigner perfumes are produced under the European brand and obviously rise to the standards. Because I couldn't decide between debut by night and debut I of course bought them both 😂. However, I expected to like Debut by night more and I was really annoyed that I had only found it in a small volume, well that was actually good because yes it's a good perfume, not necessary night, more like powerful women, of course 🤭, business outfit but it's not satisfy me how I thought. It's a fruity patchouli scent with a permanent woody note, it has a sweeter note than the original but not necessary for me, I like it, but it doesn't enchant me, the first base smell a lot like the original, only I repeat sweeter and more powdery and some water rose appear, it's a smell close to the skin so don't expect it to flood you, but for me that wasn't the problem, but the fact that it didn't necessarily convey that vibe of power to me is more of a perfume for a strong woman but restrained in the presence. If I had smelled it separately, maybe I would have liked it more, but compare it to the big twin, well no, the Debut is much better, much greener, maybe less sober but much stronger in the dominant scream. In the classic the orange flower and Petitgrain predominate in this one you feel them but the wood note is more powerful. If I think about it, I think that if you boiled Debut, Debut by night came out, because it smells like a cold and more mature, more sober Debut tea. However, if you want to try, I recommend this one because it is much safer to buy than the Debut, that is more personalized, harder to control. By the way, the logo here is wrong, is the Etienne Aigner SUA logo not the Etienne Aigner Munich

At first sniff it was waaay to alcoholic citrusy and unpleasent to my nose. After a while, the dry down is a very familiar scent which I keep on wondering what smell similar with it. I think it smell floral but not too feminine and girly, it have some punch of maskuline scent. I think it reminds me of perfumes which my father used to spray and my father have a very good nose on fragrances, I'm not sure which one designer it from coz my father used paco rabbane, gucci, boss, and also aigner for men. It smells like a very expensive man perfume which my father sprayed when he went to dinner with his guests from other country, put on his formal suit, expensive tie and a classic watch.This one is a female version of it, a very elegant, professional and appropirate scent for a formal scent at night or in door, definitely not an out door summer scent.I cannot pick any sweet scent from it, only oriental floral with a strong punch and kinda maskuline fresh scent in a pleasent way. The good thing that the opening of annoying citrusy cologne scent gone for good so quick, but unfortunetely this perfume doesn't last long on my skin, it lingers but not remain strong.

when i sprayed it on my skin i feel smell of poor synthetic citrusy notes. also feel a little pear scent. after 2-3 minutes orange blossom and patchouli show themselves. unfortunately still i feel these notes are very synthetic. after 10-15 minutes the smell is more tolerable. however patchouli and orange blossom bother me in this frag. now after 20 minutes the fragrance come to a sweet fruity one. generally debut by night is not bad perfume and can be wear in fall. be careful patchouli might bother you!! this is a personal opinion. try test and make a decision on you personal opinion. Has a middle eastern kick to it. Woodsy, floral (rose) and slight powdery. I didn’t like it much at first because from the bottle it smells like alcohol or acetone. It’s raining and cold now where I live so I think this perfume performs best in this weather and I’m only saying that because my mother sprayed this and I could smell her trail all day. Unloading the car, I could smell this amazing cloud of deliciousness from her even when she left to go inside. At first I didn’t know what it was and kept trying to follow this scent. I walked past her a few times and it was indeed her. She told me she sprayed this perfume on herself. It is amazing in longevity but not suffocating. Could be unisex but leans slight more feminine. Wow I love this!

عطر سنگین و شرقی داره، اگر به دنبال عطر شب و برای مراسم هستید، این عطر گزینه خوبیه، اما اگر به دنیال عطر جوانپسند و روزانه هستید شاید با این عطر ارتباط برقرار نکنید. تاکید پررنگی روی نت‌های نارنج، بهارنارنج و پچولی داره که من دوست داشتم. A heavy, oriental fragrance, if you are looking for formal night perfume, this is a great option, but if you are into the daily and youthful fragrance for daily use, you might not be in touch with it. The highlight is the notes of bitter orange, orange blossom and patchouli that I loved.

This is not a nice girl perfume. This is an 'I've come into my own as a woman' kind of perfume. I think of confidence (not in a showy, in your face way) and charm. Fruity opening- the pear and bitter orange aren't the juicy kind and the brief blast of lemon is quickly subdued by the cedar and patchouli. Rose sets in and for a while you could be fooled that is a generic rose/woody combination but freshness is restored- the water lily and fruity raspberry. I get whiffs of pear, but the predominant notes in the mid are rose, raspberry, vanilla, patchouli, and cedar. The dry down when introduced, is just beautiful with raspberry, rose, patchouli, and vanilla, gorgeous! If I 'like' the opening, I 'love' the dry down. I'm usually not a fan of patchouli, but I really like it in this fragrance, it adds something je ne sais quoi to the dry down. Did I already make a point of being in love with the dry down? This is also not a heavy scent, perhaps it has been reformulated but the citrus opening and water lily mid give it due freshness. It is an alluring scent for warm weather evening wear or cooler days spent in the office. The projection isn't massive, but I reckon if you overspray, you could call the attention of those around to yourself. Raspberry, rose and patchouli are the dominant notes, if you dislike either, hit the road jack. Summer update: Sprayed this in 30 C weather and the patchouli was choking. This is definitely staying in storage until autumn leaves start to fall. 18 months update: The longer I owned the fragrance, the more intense the patchouli seemed to develop until it's now become the prominent note, overpowering raspberry in the dry down. I'm afraid I'll be hitting the road jack.

شروع ای تند و تیز از میوه و پچولی؛پایان ای از پچولی و میوه‌ مُرکبات و میوه ها در شروع حسابی حضور دارند با رایحه ای ترش و شیرین.خُنک و سبک نیستند و نسبتا غلیظ کار شده اند رَگه های گُلی و خصوصا رُز از ابتدا حس میشه اما هرچی می‌گذره کم رنگ میشه با کم شدن مرکبات و میوه ها،پچولی بیشتر به چشم میاد؛با یک تِم گزنده و گیاهی،بدون حس خاکی و کپکی شیرینی کنترل شده ای داره و از حد به در نمیشه و از نیمه های عطر یک حس آمبری شکل می‌گیره هرچند من از نُت تمشک خوشم نمیاد اما وقتی به قلب عطر می‌رسه و این نت خودش رو بیشتر نشون میده،یک فضای میوه ای و ترش ایجاد می‌کنه که کنار پچولی جالب هست یکی دو ساعت اول پخش خیلی خوب ای داره و بعدش می‌چسبه به پوست ************ scent:6.5/10 longevity:7.5/10 sillage:7.5/10 purchase value:3.5/10 ****** overall:6.2/10

I cant believe that i fall for this trap again-blind buys .Never ever eve again in my life!Instead of buying something i actually like and tested in the store i went for blind aurprises.Well i hate this one.I am angry beyond words.It is so offensive for my nose that i want to throw it away,but i will keep it because of the money I pray someday i am ok with it,at least ok

Found it for the great price and decided to give it a try, but it's a middle of the summer and I don't think the heat is flattering to this piece. Anyways, it starts with sharp aquatic note on my skin - the bergamot, lemon and water lilly for sure. I hate these sharp fresh notes, but I know this is just the first hit, so waiting... Quickly it goes to the dry sweet note - vanilla and patchouli, it's loosing its edge and starts to round up and get warmer. Also bit of sugar coat there as well. There is a promise of nice, rounded, dark-sweet warmness, but for now it's linear soft sweet vanilla with kinda veiled patchouli and water lilly, and that's it. I can get no raspberry or rose. But I bought it for the winter and by the other reviews, it should reveal it's notes fully, I can't wait to wear it in cold. P.S.: Amy Ann below is right, this is not an Etienne Aigner parfum, but Aigner - those are two different companies now (check the logo on the bottle/packaging photo and the logo next to the E.Aigner heading here, those are very similar yet still differ...)

I get a strong tar-like guaiac/leather note at the beginning followed, or joined, by a raspberry rose. Occasionally I notice hints of the orange blossom and that’s quite nice, a bit of freshness. I’m struggling to account for the tar-like, somewhat plasticky quality that persists throughout. My husband used to wash with Coal Tar soap and it reminds me of that. When I smell up close I can smell a very pleasant realistic rose, but there’s that “something” in the sillage that’s making me slightly uncomfortable wearing it. I think I would prefer it on a man.

Upon spraying, I got a generic "grandma" perfume -- vintage oakmoss patchouli vibes. It immediately dries down to a citrusy floral scent. After a few minutes, it doesn't smell vintage at all: clean but creamy woodsy floral. Well-balanced and hard to pick apart the notes. Classy but not vintage, not overpowering but not muted, like one of the recent Estee perfumes.

Light powdery, slightly fruity and dark scent. Nice, but not very original. For the price, it is ok. I have no complaints regarding sillage and longevity. Try it if you like mature and mysterious scents that are discreet. P.S: it has a certain "Belle D'Opium" vibe, but it is not a dupe. More like a poor cousin.

love ! for me there is something in it that makes me in love with it. Its fresh but also sweet at the same times. Gorgeous bottle
