100 Tweeds

A highland grange nestled within shadowed mountains, the sensation of a worn, but warm jacket keeping the chill of fall air at bay. An abrasive blend of honeyed tobacco, hay, musk, peaty soil, tender greenery and a dirty animalic kick. Earthy, musky, and slightly smoky, dank and addicting. Honey and beeswax are more prominent in the opening, and the drydown brings out the soil and animalic characteristics. 100 Tweeds becomes a skin scent after 3 or four hours, but the longevity is improved by spraying from the bottle instead of dabbing. I loved the sample enough that I bought a bottle, it's a unique and gorgeous fall scent. Edit: I have a bottle that is from an early 4th batch(#4 is handwritten on the label, this is the way that EB keeps track of batches), with deep amber brown liquid, and a 2019 8ml size that is a light yellow. The darker juice smells much more of honey in the opening, whereas the light yellow has more of a sharp castoreum emphasis. I prefer the darker blend, but both are nice and drydown to very similar scents. The differences are likely from reformulation, but aging could be a factor as there is about a 4-year difference between the two.

I got a sample in today and wow. Such a bold ,Animalistic, Woodsy scent. I love it. Not as Animalistic as Beaufort London Iron Duke or Bortnikoff. Such a great blend of so many notes. I would definitely buy a full 50ml bottle. You might want to buy a sample first. I did.

Shout out to Jrmcquill as I went to summer camp in southeast Michigan, which makes it a small-ish world. I'm female and think this works well as unisex. Maybe it's because I'm new to indie perfumers as of now, but one of the most stand out features of this scent is how I'll be sitting, walking, whatever, just doing my thing when bursts of concentrated scent will explode into my awareness. What's even more intoxicating is that given that there are so many different notes and since it's not based on the typical pyramid, each time it's a wholly new composition to my nose. I think a person could make a compelling argument for it smelling like camp, the mountains, a conservatory, or a library with a guy wearing said tweed jacket. This fragrance has many facets. I didn't know beforehand if I would mesh well with such bold earthiness... well I do!

This has so many notes mixed that i can't really select any familiar ones, it's a full chorus. Surprisingly, the projection is moderate and the scent does not try and overwhelm you. I agree it leans on the masculine side, and sometimes i catch a hint of wool in this forest of wood and greenery. It feels like a cabin in the woods, a hideout for someone who finds comfort in solitude.

The entire wilderness distilled down into a bottle, complete with flora, fauna, and nasty little claw marks from forest critters. Soooooooooo much better on a blotter than on my skin, and that's entirely my skin chemistry's fault. A masterpiece better suited to someone else's flesh.

Very earthy and aromatic with an amber backbone. The notes may look busy and complicated, but it is actually a very well blended fragrance in my opinion

I wanted this stuff for over a year, and thought the notes were so interesting that I blind bought a 10ml bottle. Just too much dirty animal in there for me. And not a charming dirty animal either; more like a muskrat or something. It must be the castoreum, and even though it goes away maybe 10 minutes later, its effect lingers; I keep worrying that it will come back. No, not a tweed fragrance either; no scratchy wool notes anywhere. Other reviewers warned me. Heed the warnings.

Really wanted to like this, like.. I was so taken with everything about the pre-smell process.. on paper and on my hand... the opening is a strong "retirement community" accord and its just turning me off.. that's when I smell it up close in the air its not as bad but.. if Im ever brave enough to give this a full wearing i'll let yall know.. but for right now..... "its a no for me dawgg" (Randy Jackson voice) *** Update... same day (2/18/22) : IDK what witchcraft this scent used.. but I was seduced into a full wearing...an hour after my original comments... there's something in the heart that is just appealing cant call it.. im enjoying the wear even tho.. the opening is harsh and not very pleasant... I guess you gotta give it some time to evolve,, all the d**** notes ... I'll report back if anything changes edit 2/22/22: its really does smell like the study of a older gentlemen.. not bad.. but not something I want to smell like NFBW

DAMN... this house is quit impressive! Animalic at max sweetened with honey cranberries mixage, then struck again with harshly animalic notes of tobacco, peat, orris roots, and musc, then sweetisizes with vanilla, then struck it with the 2nd round of agarwood and guaiac wood! This juice is harsh and SUPER charm animalic, blended in quality with passion. quite impressive.
