J'S Exte Man

Well worth the little money (US$8.50/25ml) this beautiful fragrance costs. It reminded me of some much more expensive fragrances that I tried or owned, naming a few include Reflection Man by Amouage, Insolence EDP by Guerlain, Bois des Iles by Chanel and Habanita by Molinard. This fragrance is very Oriental with opening of fresh aromatic herbs and very intensive scent of orris throughout. Strong vanilla with a touch of warm spice then joined in after the fresh opening and the scent mellowed to a semi-sweet gourmand and dried down to a gentle smooth base of vanilla, tonka and Patchouli.

Remember testing it 10 years ago when it was $100 for a bottle and finding it too sweet and harsh(due it was really humid weather back then). Now when the designer jeans brand EXTE is no more, guess they are cleaning out the leftovers and selling it almost for free! I found it on discounter for nearly 6 euro, so I had to buy 4 bottles! Sweet, gourmand, classy and similar to Dior homme, but BETTER due its not that comercial! scent 9/10 silage 8/10 longivity 10/10 quality 9/10 its a safe blind buy almost for free, cheers :)

this one is an extremely inderrated gorgeous smell . sexy , deep , mystreious, masculine , romantic oh and sensual to mind blowing lenghts ! moderatly spicy , sweet and somehow similar to davidoff silver shadow in the spiciness and valentino pour homme in the smoothness and sweetness. i think you should really give it a try , im sad to se only one comment on it . :( 8.5/10

Good quality and performance. Pleasant smell but You have to like it. When it dries down it smells vanilla, orris root, patchouli and herbal notes. It is very dusty and dry. It has sand like quality to me and is very powdery. I like it but it overbears me after couple hours.

Excellent perfume, with excellent longevity and projection. Despite being relatively inexpensive, it is clear that this fragrance is unique and has a great quality. This scent is a good alternative for the Dior Homme Intense, but I still prefer the Dior.

Having gone full circle on this perfume, I can ultimately say that I like it. On first sample, I was pleased that it broadly recalled the overall Dior Homme vibe. I then came to own Dior Homme Intense, and to realised how different these two are; DHI is on a different planet to this, in terms of quality, which really put me off. I put JS Exte away in its box for a few months. Having brought it back out on a whim, I have belatedly come to appreciate the qualities it does have. It is a herbal fragrance, with the two main now being thyme and vanilla. These are rounded out with some hints of lavender, tonka and cedar. The composition has pretty much zero sweetness, and zero freshnes; it's a very dry, savory, muted scent, and that's the reason I have kept it - my perfume collection is roughly split in half, with bright, citrussy freshies on one side and dark, rich evening events on the other, but when I don't want to go down either of those routes JS Exte sits perfectly in the middle. A rather austere, quietly classy condition of herbs, waxy florals and light woods. I also agree with the reference to pencil eraser that somebody made previously, although I don't think that's necessarily a negative! Performance is quiet but sustained. A bargain.

Bought this blind. This scent can be disected into two parts. The top notes consist of green and herbal notes. The basenotes is similar to Dior Homme Intense. For those who are not familiar with DHI, its drydown is deep cacao, vanilla, cinnamon. Right off the bat you get a herbal note, think of a greener version of Bulgari Man. It takes some getting used to. First impression, this was kinda weird, but after some time I'm ok with it. The basenotes will sneak into detection occasionally but its in the background Two hours later the top notes mellow down and you get a scent that is very close to Dior Homme Intense. The green top note is still there, balancing the sweetness of the DHI basenotes making it balanced and not too sweet. Think of DHI drydown with a subtle hint of green spicy freshness. I love it. After the strong opening, it becomes a sensual, romantic and dark fragrance. A good fragrance at a good price.

I purchased this one some time ago. To my sense of smell, which might be wrong (I accept), this smells like the smell you get from a container of tic tak mints from the start, it does develop into something a bit more interesting as it dries down but there is that tic tak element on application. I do actually like J'S Exte Man and one of my sons made me get him some for Christmas as he loved it. Regarding the start, tic tak mints don't really smell of mint so don't be mislead.

Was cheap enough so gave it a blind buy... £8 That opening... Hmmm, not sure what to make of it. It sure is interesting. I have only worn this a few time so I'm still not overly fond of the opening. The beauty is in the dry down, give it a bit of time and it becomes this dark, chocolate, sweet vanilla scent that lasts, man does this last on me. Would I buy again, probably not. But don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed with this scent.

A very nostalgic scent. Are you old enough to remember those soft rubber erasers with the sweet smell? Kids used to sit around sniffing them- I think they were supposed to be vanilla flavored or something. That's what this smells like to me- sweet, vanillic rubber. I like it, it is a pleasant scent, and the association makes me giggle when I get a whiff. Definitely unisex, and if you like flavored rubber, a safe blind buy.

Extremely pleasant scent, especially in the opening. Later on it turns into a overly powdery vanilla/iris type of scent, it feels like being in a lipsticky tic-tac scent bubble. Unfortunately it does not have a good projection nor longevity. Luckily it's cheap so I’ll give it a 7/10.

a good "copy" of dior homme intense. not great as dhi, but a good cheaper alternative of it. i liked it. good longevity and sillage. grazie. vote 7/10 js exte man it has been released before dhi but i dont think in dior house they said "we must copy js exte man!!!"

This is a really interesting fragrance. It's definitely got that classic barbershop vibe with the oregano and thyme, but then it dries down to this warm, sweet vanilla and tonka bean scent. Very unique and gets me compliments.

Not a bad Dior-a-like but hangs on to the bitter-rubber note too long then suddenly becomes a fairly plain Vanilla shortly before it is gone. Nice but SuperDry Dry Oil is better. Dior Homme is still the best.

Mix Eau des baux with a hint of Dior eau Noire.👍😉 Good warming winter fragrance. A steal for €5,69 atm.

J’s exte smells weird of clinical vanilla. Imagine strong smelling medicine and vanilla. J’s exte is not an alternative to Dior Homme. It’s a composition by its own. Very one dimensional and synthetic. From the beginning to the end the medicine note is getting quieter, vanilla stays till the base.

This stufs is so potent and strong and long lasting. It's nuts. How come that nobody didn't connect this one to Rochas moustache (aka long lasting Tuxedo)?!! Really really similar

As a HK people, i have to say this fragrance is very very unpleasant for Eastern, the smell like my old grandpa's medicinal oils. The oregano and Cinnamon very strong at beginning, the notes becoming a Chinese herbal medicine smell. After dry down, the sillage still very intense and the medicine smell projected strong as well. I will not suggest to the Eastern because the smell is too OLD for us. I think this is an exotic fragrance and point 4/10 for it.

I have just bought it. IDK, the first impression wasn’t that great. All I can smell is some kind of a rubber note. I will see later and I hope it won’t be that bad, and that I will use it sometimes.

This fragrance immediately brings the classic Guerlain style to mind. Its composition—bergamot, iris, lavender, vanilla, and tonka bean—echoes the timeless Guerlinade signature. While it isn't a clone of any specific Guerlain fragrance, it evokes the elegant character of Jicky and Habit Rouge and Héritage, with its refined blend of citrus, aromatic notes, and a warm, creamy vanilla base. Some people compare it to Dior Homme because of the iris note, but the overall structure feels much closer to the classic Guerlain DNA: bergamot, lavender, iris, vanilla and tonka create a warmer, more aromatic and traditional composition. The iris is there, but the soul feels more Guerlain than Dior.

Very good smell, sweet and Italian style, smells more expensive than it costs, and stays long, sweet cakes, perfect for a cool evening, very good durability, similar to Strictly Private Baldessarini, I really like EXTE, something for gourmets of sweet fragrances. I would recommend! Thank you Italy. it is a very similar smell, almost identical 90% to GIVENCHY Gentleman Eau de Parfum.

I bought this with expectations it was an excellent dior eau noire alternative, and it's not necessarily. However it's right between dior eau noire and dior homme. It's perfect as it cost 12$ and smells very good if you like those. It's like eau noire without syrupy feel Projection good, longevity good as well

A powdery and earthy dark chocolate. It doesn't smell like Dior Homme to me which is unwearable because of that very prominent lipstick vibe. To me this is a tamed version of Black Orchid from Tom Ford. Very unisex. Lasts at least 5 hours. For 6 euros, I think it's a gem.

Bought it as a blind buy after seeing a promo sale and reading reviews about it. Generally, I like it. Currently testing it. I may say that on skin the freshness of the plants included is scented in the first 10-15 sec only, after that it goes mainly into vanilla.

Sweet, feminine scent, just like a reticule, full of lipsticks, powders and other cosmetics for women. Absolutely unwearable for a man. I hated on me. Nothing to do with Dior Homme. I've screamingly ran for shelter to my Bogart Signature!!!

Vanilla with a touch of spice. It is same from begining to the end. It is winter scent and although I like creamy scents, this one is average.

I'm really trying my best to see something in common with Dior Homme. this to me smells like bandaids and nothing else. Vanilla? Where? Iris?

Launched in 2006 so it can't be a copy of Dior Homme Intense but the opposite!! Very good fragrance as a price, longevity & projection. 5*

Just bought it this week I just get iso e super off it to be honest dont get the comparison to dior homme intense.

the drydown form me smells like iceberg twice pour homme,but less strong....

it's a good fragrance, very sweet, remember me tea cookies or puff pastry
