Mystic Fig'ures by Fine'ry has NOT been discontinued! It is sold through the Target App, but sells out quickly. I suggest turning on notifications for restocks. Anyway, on to the review... Mystic Fig’ures by Finery smells very similar to Snif’s Vow Factor. The openings are nearly identical, though they differ in the dry-down. Vow Factor dries down to a softly sweet vanilla with hints of an underripe fig hovering in the background. Finery’s Mystic Fig’ure’s dry-down is less sweet, leaning more heavily on a musky base. I did not care for the scent initially, however I recently layered Mystic Fig’ures with JHAG’s Vanilla Vibes and fell in love!!! I immediately purchased 2 backup bottles of Mystic Fig’ures. Layering Mystic Fig’ures with JHAG’s Vanilla Vibes creates a softly sweet and slightly salty fig fragrance perfect for the scorching heat of summer. With excellent longevity and an appropriately enjoyable sillage, I heartily recommend you try!

This opens up with a very aromatic green yet salty sage and sweet fig. Smells aquatic and fresh like fresh ocean spray combined with the smell of figs nearby. The sage and salt are most prominent to my nose with the fig following closely. In the dry down is when I pick up mostly a sweet fig and less sage and salt. I agree with those that compare this to Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt with an added fig note. I would not compare this to Diptyque Philosykos EDT. Not a dupe at all. It also reminds me of Tom Ford’s Figue Erotique, without the florals. But it contains the same fig, salt, woods base. The added sage and salt in this takes this into soap/lotion fresh territory. This is very unisex. Wears lovely fresh out the shower.

This review is for the body spray, which has less longevity than an EDP typically, although I have not tried this particular scent in the EDP. Rural summer in a bottle. It has a field smell, not a woods smells. It’s a temperate climate green, no tropical touch. It smells like tall wheaty grass, nostalgic cheap bug spray mingling with vague flowers and sunscreen. I don’t get any watery notes. It reminds me strongly of my childhood/early teen years, during the hot months, living in the middle of nowhere, in the make-your-own-fun nonsense of the late nineties/early aughts. Highly recommend for fans of G R E E N scents.

This is the best and most of the complex of the new line and I am obsessed. It’s like catnip. So good!

  • em inglês

Regardless of the rest of my review, I have to agree with the reviewer below me that this fragrance is like catnip. I keep going back to sniff it. I can't even make up my mind if I'm going to keep it, but that's just a fact. So I expected this to be an aftershave-esque scent like Phlur's Father Figure and that isn't exactly the case. This is a zesty, zingy green fragrance somewhat akin to Hollister Free Wave or Solinotes The Blanc to my nose. It starts out straight-up grassy but that falls off and leaves a bright, sharp shower gel smell. I honestly just really wish I had a wax melt or candle in this scent because it would be heaven on a spring day or summer morning. I like how this one is something different. Reads true unisex to me. If someone passed me while wearing this I'm certain I would think they smell great. Also I'm a huge fan of freshies, but I wouldn't say they always smell classy -- yet something about this one feels expensive to me. Side note, I distinctly remember reading a review on Fine'ry's Jungle Santal last year where the person said it made them feel like they were in Faron in the Zelda game Breath of the Wild. I bought it and learned that I don't like anything called santal, and I strongly disagreed with their assessment. But THIS. This fragrance is that scent. Mystic Figures totally gives me that sense that I'm in a lush, rainy forest. It vividly conjures the image of Faron in my mind. So if nothing else I'm glad I got this to finally satisfy that itch that a reviewer created in me months ago, lol.

I really enjoy both the body spray and EDP on this one! The body spray is definitely a softer, more aquatic scent and reminds me a bit of the dupes I've smelled of Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt (Dossier's Woody Sage and B&BW's Salted Shorelines; unfortunately haven't yet had the opportunity to sniff the real thing). Although I don't think it smells like bug spray, I do see where others are coming from as I do get a very slight citronella kind of note -- sort of like bug spray wearing off! 😆 The EDP is much more green. Right out of the bottle, it has a strong vegetal, green chili kind of scent (or maybe fresh oregano; something green but with a little muddiness) that mellows into a softer sort of creamy green scent within ~30 mins. It reminds me of Dossier's Green Lush while it's still sharp, but not quiiiiiite as aggressively green.

I'll admit, I'm a big fan of this entire brand because I think these all smell so good with such a great affordable price point. I don't know what some of these are duping, including this one, but nonetheless, this is another one I'll enjoy wearing. Aromatic, fresh, and unisex to my nose. Not a safe blind buy, though, unless you love the brand like I do. This one is quite different from the others. Here's info from the Target site: "The mythical beauty of a Mediterranean paradise. Sun-drenched white cliffs meet turquoise waters and lush fig trees soak in the crystal blue sky. Smells like: Mediterranean Fig, Ocean Air, Salted Sage"

  • em inglês

I bought this one, and ended up returning it. Not because I didn’t like it - it’s fresh, figgy, surprisingly refreshing - but because I couldn’t figure out an occasion where I’d wear it. Maybe to the beach or for drinks on a patio? Definitely safe for an office but that’s not my job. I might rebuy it someday, but I think it’s just not my vibe... reminds me of Womanity with the balance of salt, aromatics, and fig!

  • em inglês

The notes listed on the Target website are listed as: Mediterranean Fig, Ocean Air, and Salted Sage. Figgy, oceanic, and herbal all blended into a deep saturated green scent. I don't encounter Mediterranean beaches with this, but a dark, fruit filled forest edging on briney rock cliffs looking to the sea. Very lush. On the skin it stays strong for a few hours, but it lasts longer on clothes.

If you added figs to Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt, it would smell something like this. It’s a good fig-forward scent. Well worth the money.

  • em inglês

I have many fig fragrances and this doesn’t smell like any of them, it’s totally unique. The saltiness gives it a summery vibe.

  • em inglês

I can't tell if I like this. I would love if any cleaner I used smelled like this, but idk if I personally want to smell like this. It smells a lot like a Harry's Men's Body Wash. The fig and orange one. I'd say it's definitely unisex, straight down the middle. Very tart, I'd swear there were citrus notes here and it also smells vaguely minty, which is also odd. Not anything like Father Figure, which I think is only compared to this because of the green bottle, fig note, and the name. Not a dupe in the slightest. Smells SLIGHTLY more like Sun fruit by Ellis Brooklyn, but barely. Might return it.

This review is for the body mist. I usually like nature-y smells, but this just reminds me of diluted bug spray. I much prefer fine’ry before the rainbow.

  • em inglês

I gotta agree with littlesparks here! I almost cried when I read your review because I couldn’t place this but its a total Midwestern teen summer!!!! Im in a big field with bug spray wearing off, just rained- all that is fresh and wet and grassy and mossy and earthy, but slightly wild and imperfect makes this one quite a nostalgic scent memory. Wow. Yeah, I love Fine’ry too. So much fun to collect these little gems and bust a new one out when I need a pick me up to get me through the day. And to all the snobs and haters, I have all the expensive stuff too, but high end experiences don’t always come with high end price tags. Just ask my mischievous Midwestern teen self in her previous (pre-upscale) life.... Xoxo!

A green, crisp, fresh, aromatic version of a fig tree. Very much the fig leaves, and not the fruit. I really like wearing this one during the summer especially. I believe this is supposed to be a dupe of Diptyque Philosykos. I think this is an excellent dupe for the $30 price, and it is easily one of my top 3 fragrances from the Finery line. Unfortunately, as of writing, I believe that this may be discontinued. I saw this marked as on clearance at my local Target, and I do not see any available for purchase online. If you do happen to find this available to purchase, and you like a green fig scent, I would highly recommend picking it up. Giving this an 8/10 personally, taking the price into account.

  • em inglês

Yes, Aromanticist, it does seem to be discontinued, and that is a shame. I hunted one down due to my obsession with fig and made a blind buy based on reviews. This is a clean creamy vanillic woody comforting scent for winter with a touch of sandalwood/floral at the end but not to a strong degree. Unisex and will turn heads, though it seems not too much stronger than the body spray. I'd kill for lotion and oil. Try Bastide Figue Amour if you like this, a little more fruity and not discontinued. The green color totally fits the juice. Another fig I love is Phlur Hanami, probably discontinued by now too.

I stewed over this for weeks and weeks, but finally had my eureka moment today about what this smells like. This is, note for note, an EXACT dupe of a discontinued Tokyo Milk scent that I was obsessed with in the early aughts called Ex Libris. I’m 100% certain that Mystic Fig’ures shares the exact same DNA as Margot Elena’s Ex Libris, and no one will convince me or my scent memory otherwise. Notes called out in Ex Libris are fig leaf, magnolia, cardamom and bronzed musk. So happy to have this beloved, long-forgotten scent back!

  • em inglês

Vey light fragrance . I loved the smell fig and sea salt. Good for the office. You would have to reapply midday. This is the case with most Fine'ry fragrances. Wish it lasted all day ! If somwone has a suggestion on a longer lasting perfume that has similar notes , please comment.

  • em inglês

Very summer-y, clean, sharp and fig-y. I feel like this is good if you want something on the clean side for spring/summer but are looking for something different.

  • em inglês

The body mist is truly vile. Bug spray and a weird artificial pine smell. NO.

  • em inglês

Very green, fig leaf vs fruit. I like it for summer!
