Lily

I've ordered this, so when it comes in, I'll do a full review. I did see the questions about why this is Lily and the other Lily of the Valley. I think I know why. Two things could be happening here and when I explain them, then I think you will understand. Lily of the Valley was taken off of the website because of either it is being completely discontinued or they have to reformulate it because of EU ban/regulations on certain aroma-chemicals. So, out with it and in with Lily. Lily is a completely different composition. If they called it Lily of the Valley, then people could end up buying it thinking they're buying the other composition. They would get upset because it's not THE Lily of the Valley that they've been use to all these years. Can you imagine that shock? So that's why it's given a different name, Lily, in an effort in trying to not confuse people between this composition and the other Lily of the Valley composition to avoid customers from being shocked in such a way. I've had it happen with another company that made a whole slew of changes to their product line. I ended up spraying a scent from a new bottle, put the bottle down, walked five steps away, and stopped dead in my tracks. THIS isn't the right scent. I did an about-face, went back to my dresser and was completely shocked that the name on the bottle was right, but it was not the scent I was expecting. Horrible experience! Floris, I do applaud your efforts in being good to your customers by trying not to mislead them in any way about products and their names. Because I know this is a completely different composition, I will judge it on its own merits and not compare it in likeness to any predecessor. Thank all of you for your hard work and dedication. I'll be back once I get the Lily scent to give a proper review. Edit to add: I received this a few days ago, just in time for Spring, and I wanted to give it time by giving it a wearing or two or three, before I write a review. The packaging as always is beautiful for these types of fragrances and it does help to set the mood. So, let's get into it about the fragrance itself. It does start off with water and tea and is a tiny bit sweet, then comes the Lily of the Valley. This is about how it would smell out in the woods with morning dew. It smells green, but not bitter green. The rose, ylang ylang, tea, and jasmine keep it from going into bitter green territory. You will not smell like you've been rolling around in wet grass, but you will smell the greenness of these little bell flowers. For tiny flowers, they certainly emit a lot of fragrance. At times though, it can smell like lily rather than lily of the valley, I've picked up on that, but not enough to smell like a funeral home. At other times like, right now, it reminded me of bluebells. As it wears on the skin, cedar comes in, rather strongly, which is why they're called Muguet des Bois. It ls lily of the valley of the woods. So, the woods are part of this nature scene and why you smell it here. As it dries down, it becomes more musky. This is an eau de toilette, so don't expect 18 hours on the skin, or some such thing, but people around me smelled it around the the 6 hours mark rather faintly, and that's about right for a eau de toilette. Sillage is about 2 arm lengths at first if the weather is warm like it is today, but if you dose it right, you won't be killing everyone. I actually got complimented straight out the gate by my neighbor, so it can draw compliments as well. This is so inoffensive, I don't think you could offend anyone unless they're trying too hard to be offended, but we will keep it positive here and not talk about any of that. I feel that this can be worn by anyone from teenager to someone 100 years old. It's youthful but timeless at the same time. This is something that I don't think will grow old, but that's up to individual perception also, so take what I say here with a grain of salt. This is something I would love to wear all Spring and Summer and I might just have a temper tantrum about having to put it away and wear something else when the weather become too cool for this fragrance. I may still wear it anyway if the winter here is mild enough so there's that. Am I in love with this fragrance? A few good shoves, and I will be. This is signature scent worthy if you like florals. If you don't like florals, this may not be your cup of tea, but try it anyway. You might surprisingly find something you love, so never say never. This would be a great fragrance to wear for Easter Sunday and/or Beltane (also called May Day on May 1) It's like how the US celebrates Labor Day, but in France it's called La Fête du Travail (Labor Day), with there being a tradition in giving Lily of the Valley to loved ones. I agree with @Zizirona review. This is serenity in a bottle. Fluffy airy musks with slight touches of tea, white florals, lily and LOTV. Soft and serene elegance. I am getting a FB and testing this on my Mother when I go visit her, I will give her my 2 samples and if she wants a FB I will buy her one as well. I think she will love this pretty and delicate musky aquatic floral as much as I do. So very pretty it is like capturing raindrops off of lilies in a bottle. The morning mist on the Lilies of the valley in the bottle. Big love. Edit: even though this perfume makes me think of spring it is great year round. A lovely everyday signature type of fragrance. Feminine, delicate but still has weight and substance. Always in good taste in any situation.

This is a perfectly beautiful fragrance that is timeless and uplifting, if you like florals. The white tea blends beautifully with the lily of the valley in the beginning. When it fades to something softer, it is comforting and classic to my mind. Is there anything that Floris can’t do and do well? This is not a fragrance for somebody seeking an avant-garde experience. I agree with another reviewer who said anyone can wear this from a young teen to somebody in their 90s. It’s a lovely feminine happy fragrance!

Lily fragrance exudes quiet elegance. It is not the prominent lily from Baiser Vole it is subtle lily impression which very fast melts into fluffy airy musks. The whole experience is serene and luxurious.

Lovely fresh white floral that doesn’t give me a headache. I don’t really understand why the brand has one “Lily” and one “Lily of the valley” but this one is lovely to me.
