Night Scented Jasmine

Creamy-Cool Shaded Jasmine... It's a beautiful, soft, cool, creamy & fresh jasmine with some faint mauve/purplish tones and no sharp edges. This is jasmine at its coolest & creamiest and without any sunny aspects. I pick up gardenia secondly (more than narcissus or neroli although they're here as well but less prominent than in Something Blue Oscar de la Renta), and lily which is similar to the lily in Anais Anais Cacharel (although they're not dupes). The gardenia is helping to build the jasmine, and brings a soft creamy banana note which is complemented and rounded out by the ylang-ylang. The base is mainly a creamy sandalwood which doesn't overshadow the florals but makes the creaminess thicker and more opaque. There's also a Night Scented Jasmine Lotion which I love, and is true to the original scent, and can be layered for improved performance or used on its own. Contrast to Something Blue Oscar de la Renta: These are different, but there are similarities with a white-floral bouquet that includes green, yellow-floral, neroli & narcissus accents. Night Scented Jasmine is creamier and more jasmine forward, while Something Blue has a more watery dewy feel. Performance is slightly better for Night Scented Jasmine. Contrast to Gardenia Elizabeth Taylor: These are different, but there are some similarities with creamy, green-leaning gardenia. Night Scented Jasmine is more jasmine forward ofc, and doesn't have the beachy aspects present in Gardenia. There's also a creamy sandalwood base in Night Scented Jasmine which makes the creaminess thicker. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Jasmine Oscar de la Renta: These are different, but there are similarities with a green-leaning jasmine. Night Scented Jasmine is a lot creamier, while Jasmine Oscar is more watery & sunny with a honey/beeswax note. Performance is better for Night Scented Jasmine. Contrast to Anais Anais L'Original EDT Cacharel: These are different, but there are some similarities with lily, jasmine, ylang & sandalwood. Anais Anais is more powdery and has a more forward lily with hiacynth and a mossiness in the base due to oakmoss, while jasmine is more forward in Night Scented Jasmine which reads a little creamier also due to gardenia. Roughly equivalent performance, or slightly better for Night Scented Jasmine. Contrast to Jardins de Bagatelle Guerlain: These are different, but there are similarities with a creamy, white-floral bouquet with green & yellow-floral accents (gardenia, lily/lily of the valley, narcissus, neroli, jasmine). Jardins de Bagatelle is more about a strong tuberose, while Night Scented Jasmine is more about jasmine ofc. Jardins de Bagatelle has stronger performance. I love the name of this scent. Thanks to reviewer Kitty9 for lending it authenticity, and describing the Sardinian jasmine angle. Fans of florals-in-general, including jasmine, gardenia & ylang would probably like this - it's very well blended and easy to like. From this brand the only other one I've tested is White Rose Floris, and there's a similar density & performance. I'm so tired of winter and looking forward to spring, so I sprayed this on this morning. Love it. Enjoy!

Absolutely in love with this fragrance!!! A light, green , soapy, understated work/day scent . Very gentle and close to the skin . I adore white florals , especially Jasmine scents and it’s so lovely to find one , not cloying or indolic ( yuck , thank God!) but linear , cool and subtle which you can use daily .However , I do agree that the name is deceiving , firstly as not quite a night scented Jasmine but also because it’s not a soliflore , it is a blend of the numerous florals stated. My only complaint , which is a biggie , is that I have to keep reapplying as the silage and longevity is very poor. So wish it stayed potent longer , despite this , I just had to get a bottle cause it’s the jasmine fragrance I have been so searching for! Have not seen a EDP of this scent for sale. Does Floris even make it as a parfum ? Read it was discontinued .Hoping maybe it would be less fleeting . The blending of the gardenia , narcissus, lily , mimosa and rose and of course my favourite - Jasmine is outstanding . Just my cup of tea . I have noticed during the hotter weather , I turn to greener , lighter fragrances and this has become my top two favourite perfumes. I can’t smell the citrus notes much or the Iris and I’m happy it doesn’t turn powdery on me . Not sure why it’s listed as powdery on the main accords pyramid . So glad it’s not . I prefer a straight clean floral . Just so well balanced that I’m hit with my interpretation of floral paradise . Update - got the moisturiser and body wash as well to layer the scent and hope it stays on longer . Night scented Jasmine is my first experience with the Floris perfume house . After buying this beauty , I have bought bottles of Fleur, LOTV and Bouquet de la Reine . Fell in love with these too 💓💓💓 A year and a half later and this beauty still remains as one of my favourites.

This fragrance is lovely! It is different from anything I have smelled to date. I don't have the nose to detect exactly the flowers, but they are unmuddled and clear, if that makes any sense. Like Anamandy, I don't get any soapyness at all, unlike Floris' Bouquest de la Reine which I feel is very soapy. I think this house makes quality perfumes. I own Cefiro which is a unique take on a citrus freshie and more long lasting than many EDP's I own. I tested Night Scented Jasmine along with Cherry Blossem, Bergamotto di Positano, and Bouquet de la Reine. I really enjoyed all but Bouquet de la Reine. I plan to look into Floris further. Edited to add that the scent is fairly strong. It's important to not overdo it. I used 4 sprays this morning and it was too much for my nose (I usually use at least that with all of my perfumes). I added some Byredo Young Rose and it toned it down nicely. Still a lovely scent.

I love jasmine and wear it well. This does not disappoint. The fragrance started out very sparkly and lively green with a fresh citrus boost and a hit of pepper for heat. The floral notes them developed and I first noted violet. I think the violet is tempered very well with the jasmine which crept up alongside of the violet. They seem to playfully take turns dominating the floral notes of the perfume. Violet is one of those notes that on its own can be somewhat sickly to me. Combined here with a stronger, deeper, muskier base, it works seamlessly and beautifully. It sparkles and tantalizes. I find this scent quite heady and intoxicating like the first couple of sips of champagne. It's simple and clean without any jarring surprises. Definitely not one of the more advant-guarde niche fragrances, but it hold its own and if you love jasmine, definitely worth the experience.
