Gorgon

Gorgon is my most bizarre fragrance - & one of my most precious. I feel proud to have such an oddity in my collection & I love sharing it with my friends! It smells like a deep night fog rolling over a stone gargoyle that's about to animate! You can really smell the limestone and it is fantastical. It smells both warm and cold, both mineral and animalic. It is incredibly polarizing among my friends! I receive either a look of puzzled disturbance bc they really don't get it as a wearable scent -or- it's a look of awe like they are discovering a secret treasure with me (they are). For me, it is both wearable & worth having to smell just for fun, a pet perfume. One of my friends said it has upscale spa vibes, which I can see bc it is foggy and lightly aromatic. Another said it smelled like the building they used to do gymnastics in (take me there). Yet another said it smelled like I brought the cemetery with me. And one of my funny friends said it smells like "grandma fell in the wet cement" lololol. I mostly smell a hot goth girl. Winona Ryder would for sure cry tears over her lovers headstone while wearing this... But, my imagination is extremely lesbionic when it comes to fragrance. Everything I like always smells like different versions of beautiful women. PSA I was not able to wear it at all this summer, it is a night time or cool weather creature only IMO.

a beautiful wet stone scent, like ancient limestone ruins that have been overtaken by the surrounding forest and river. truly so so atmospheric, not something people around you would pick up as "wearing perfume" but more like being surrounded by an experience.

warm and cold at the same time. like swimming in a crisp, cool limestone quarry and clinging onto the hot, sun-warmed rock.

obsessed with this one. brings forth imagery of a dank, damp wet cave. concrete or stone after heavy rain.

One of my most artistic perfumes I have and have ever tried. For the most part, this smells like stones to me. But not just a stone you find lying around in nature somewhere. The metallic notes are quite distinct here to me. It smells like a stone or marble statue, similar to turning into stone when you stare into the true form of a Gorgon. The opening starts off a little cold in that sense, which later kinda warms up on my skin in the following hours after wearing it (must be the tonka beans coming out in the dry down). In that softer dry down, I find myself continuing to follow along the more sympathetic story of Medusa herself who was turned into a Gorgon according to Greek mythology, cursed to curse those around her who see her in her true for. Longevity-wise was also decent as well, clocking in at around the 7hr mark that the website states it will last for. Edit: It's a really artistic fragrance to me, but not sure if it's something I personally want to smell like. The brand is discontinuing Gorgon soon though so if you're reading this right now and you're thinking about purchasing it, it might be worth checking if it's still available!

My skin pulls this to be metallic mixed nuts, i love it. My skin is really pulling that almond-tonka to the forefront. This is art.

It’s truly crazy how much this smells like a wet rock. It also reminds me of the smell of fingerpaints. The smell I remember from fingerpainting as a kid, I haven’t smelled it since then.
