Les Naturelles: Lavande

Very soft and very pretty!!! love it!

this opens with an aromatic, realistic smelling lavender, but it gets a bit soapy as time goes on. i get some greenery later and something slightly rubbery. it doesn't read as patchouli and benzoin in a strong way. later i get a background softness which seems to be benzoin, and rounds out the sharper lavender edges. a soothing comforting perfume.

Opens with a sparkling, bright, sharp lavender...very natural, almost pure high quality essential oil like quality. Then a softer woody drydown but with lingering hints of lavender. Very nice. Not typical of what I love, but a very pleasant change of pace. Great for natural lavender lovers. Scent: 7.5 / Sillage: 6 / Longevity: 6

I love the lavender in this fragrance. I first experience real lavender used in perfume through a workshop in Grasse France, which is the home of Fragonard. However, the result of this fragrance is a lavender-patchouli and therefore not authentic lavender. It's perfume. You can wear this on your skin and smell of a dark lavender, a smoky rich lavender that is appropriate for evening wear/formal wear at night. I find it sexy and romantic, beautiful. The patchouli is masculine and the lavender is feminine for me. However there are many who see lavender as masculine so combined with patchouli this can easily become a man's cologne. Through years of experiencing so many different fragrances, I've discovered that a smell, a scent, has no gender. How is lavender for girls or boys how is patchouli masculine or feminine? How is leather a male or female thing when all fragrances for men and for women have all the same accords. This is totally unisex but more of a dark lavender with a smokiness that comes off as perfumey not real lavender. The dry down is much softer and turns to lavender powder. For actual lavender which you'd want to use as room spray air freshner try Demeter Fragrance Library Lavender or YARDLEY OLD ENGLISH LAVENDER. I really love Yardley Lavender and to me nothing tops it, as it's the most realistic lavender of all time. But this is nice. Thank you Fragonard
