Qahwa

First few sprays from the bottle, to put it succinctly, smells like a coffee-flavoured muffin, or a coffee-flavoured biscuit, or a generic muffin with a cappuccino beside it. It's cappuccino coffee with a bready smell. This is not black coffee with a bready smell, but more-so cappuccino with a bready smell - cappuccino has a bit of milk to take the bitter edge off and provide body/richness. I suppose that bready smell is the cardamom, but it doesn't come off like the cardamom in other fragrances like BDK Gris Charnel, nor Tom Ford Oud Wood, and definitely not like YSL LNDL, because of the coffee mixed very well with it. This will make you smell like you just drank a coffee. This might be a little difficult to wear, regarding versatility. This transports me to a hotel restaurant breakfast early in the morning, as if I had a cappuccino and muffin in front of me, tired from waking up too early but excited for the adventurous day to come. I quite like the smell, but I especially love this because of the transportative nature - it's also my favourite true coffee scent (well, with an added bread/biscuit smell), and I prefer it over Paris Corner Eternal Coffee (scent of cappuccino but with very minimal milk, as to say it lacks the body and creaminess of a typical cappuccino) and Al Rehab French Coffee (scent of black coffee). I also recommend Fragrance World Irish Coffee, which smells like coffee liqueur (a drink of coffee, alcohol, and a ton of sugar). And I recommend Fragrance World Caramel Macchiato, which smells very similar to Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa (i.e. creamy vanilla and a bit of coffee) with a little extra coffee - this one needed a couple of weeks of maturation with 5-10 sprays expelled - however, I actually recommend skipping it and just getting Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa which is smoother and much richer/denser, and therefore more intoxicating, albeit having a touch less coffee.

Spicy, bitter coffee. Oh my goodness. Qahwa opens up with a blaaaast of smoky cardamom and is a little overwhelming. As the smokiness settles a bit, the cardamom and coffee mend together and create this chocolatey aroma. On the dry down, the fragrance fully settles into a smoky cardamom coffee, with a hint of sweetness in the background. The smokiness definitely mellows down as the fragrance dries (which i appreciate). I like to layer this fragrance with very sweet, photo-realistic gourmands (like vanilla bean and macedamia nut by Victorias Secret, or Sticky Dates by Lush). Qahwa takes me to a cafe in the woods. Its a foggy, cold, october morning. The owner of the cafe is roasting fresh coffee beans along with fresh cardamom. The barista is preparing a dark chocolate mocha with two extra shots of espresso. I grab a pain au chocolat from the display and sit down near the crackling fireplace. The cafe cat walks towards me and makes herself comfortable in my lap. The barista comes around and sets my warm cup down. 10/10

Qahwa opens with an assertive burst of cardamom—sharp, aromatic, and intense. In the opening, the spice definitely dominates. I can see why some may find this part challenging, but I love it! As it settles, it softens into a beautifully rendered qahwa accord: roasted coffee with a gentle smokiness, warmed by resinous labdanum. The base is where I found the scent becoming truly comforting. While the coffee notes are never lost, a subtle sweetness emerges, possibly from the date note, melding seamlessly with smooth cedarwood and sweet benzoin. The result is warm, enveloping, not too sugary and to me, rather addictive. Wearing Qahwa feels like wandering through a medieval city at dusk: stone walls still warm from the sun, the air scented with coffee, smoke, and resin drifting from hidden cafés. It’s atmospheric, grounding, and evocative. While it has significant lasting power, it doesn't have an overt projection. A satisfying unisex fragrance for lovers of coffee, resins, and softly spiced woods.

Big fan of this fragrance, it reminds me heavily of being inside a coffee shop. Roasted coffee and dates are the main notes that I get from this and they work well together. The coffee is strong but the dates work to sweeten it up a bit. Performance-wise, this fragrance is solid. The fragrance pushes out to my nose for about 3 or so hours and lasts on my clothes for over 8 hours. I find this one to lean more masculine, though anyone could smell like coffee if they really wanted. Qahwa by Fragrance World is one of my favorite takes of a coffee fragrance. I understand that not everyone wants to smell like coffee, but for those of us that do, Qahwa is a strong pick. This is definitely one of the best and most balanced fragrances within the Coffee Collection. If you're interested in more, I recommend also checking out Affogato and Caramel Macchiato. Those two are great as well.

Wow. I’m so impressed, it’s high end niche quality for sure. To me this smells like the opening of the likes of AP Bleu Lazuli, Minuit et Demi, Memo African Leather due to the cardamom. Then smells like freshly ground coffee with a bit of freshly made waffles in the background - ever so slightly though as this is not a sweet fragrance per se. This is exactly what qahwa actually smells of if you are familiar with it - incredibly comforting and perfect for this time of the year. Not too familiar with the performance but as of now, I’d say the performance is a typical designer and is projecting well. I will update after a few months to see if the fragrance changes over time. I’m considering buying a backup bottle because for only 22 GBP it’s a steal! Performance - 8 Projection - 9 Scent - 1000

Not sure if this is supposed to be duping something, which is often the case with Arab fragrances, but I can confidently say I have never smelled anything like it. This is a masterpiece, IMHO. The whole coffee collection is impressive but to me, Qahwa is the standout (or at least it is a tie with Kopi Luwak). Very photorealistic, gourmand, yummy sweet coffee with cardamon. I think it might be too photorealistic to some people though, so definitely try it first, it might not be your thing. Personally, I find it gorgeous, probably the most interesting fragrance I have ever owned.

Don’t tell me you are a fragrance lover if you don’t own this beauty. If this was made by Louis Vuitton with a ridiculous 500€ price tag it would have still been worth it. Masterpiece great performance great character unique and original affordable price with niche quality you will receive different compliments with this one. Worth every penny and definitely should be in your fragrance collection.10/10 EDITED at least buy 2 bottles of this one..the performance is really good and long lasting but it’s so addictive I just can’t get enough of it.

This one is arguably the best coffee/dates scent created, and eventhough the scent profile is made by a company that makes dupes is by itself an accomplishment but to create a perfectly blended Gourmand scent is amazing, not too sweet that it leans to the feminine side but not too spicy that it's harsh and offensive, this is a head turner for sure and a compliment magnet, especially if you use it in a middle eastern country during the winter time.

As a Middle Eastern woman who enjoys perfumes international + local, i must say this is EXACTLY what i’ve been looking for. I wanted a deep coffee scent with a ton of cardamom that mimics our local coffee. Performance is great, i love it so much. It’s super unique, versatile and quite addicting. Longevity is great but silage is moderate. Definitely my favorite out of the coffee line and generally this is my top 1 “coffee” fragrance right now.

Strong coffee with cardamom and a pump of syrup- delicious! Super realistic and gourmande, definitely up there with Kilian Intoxicated and Armani Privé Magenta Tanzanite at a much reasonable price point. I don’t like the bottle, but the juice is 🔝! Lasts a good while too . I have to say, this is my second purchase from the Coffee line by this company and I’m seriously impressed!

Dry down is heaven! This is a real coffee scent I was looking for - a little bit sweet but not overly so. Mainly realistic coffee which is so beautifully blended here, smells natural and is so perfectly wearable and enjoyable. Absolutely gorgeous scent and lasts for days on t-shirt. Bottle and the color of the juice itself are amazing too! Definitely recommended!

Bitter Arabic coffee (qahwa) with a little bit of added sugar in the base. It’s cardamom overload, spicy and fragrant. Beginning is spicy and loud and, settling to a woody base with some dates in the background. I love it. Every time I smell it I feel like having an actual qahwa.

amazing, sort of what i was expecting from khamrah qahwa (which still isnt bad at all). Much more prominent cardamom and calms down on the sweetness a little. Reminds me of a really nice spiced coffee dessert or something. Insane for the price

I just received it today. So far, it smells of burnt coffee and insense. Which I'm really enjoying. I can still smell it an hour or so later which is a good sign of of future longevity once it sits for at a bit.

Someone in the comments mentioned 'Kopiko sweet'—and they’re absolutely right. It’s a blend of caramel and coffee, with a bold, rich coffee flavor. This is next-level niche.

This smells great. An extremely bold, seductive and calming smell. It starts out quite green and almost minty with the cardamom but it blends in quite well by the drydown. In the dry down the coffee really shines, a strong roasted dark smell with an added syrupy sweetness which does not lean too sweet. I love that i get something earthy but also smooth, sweet and yummy. I even get a slight milky smell now after maceration. It is photorealistic. At first I thought it smelt more masculine than I would prefer in the opening 10mins but by 15-20mins in the drydown it turns very creamy and I get some vanilla even though vanilla is not in the notes (just learnt benzoin is a vanilla smell so that must be it), making it more feminine and equally suited for a woman. Its perfectly unisex. The coffee also is strong enough to stay throughout the wear without smelling like you spilled coffee on yourself. I can see myself mixing this with a lot of my other gourmands and really enjoying it, glad I got it. This is what I hope the Amore Caffe dupes (I havent tried AC itself which may be better but from the dupes I've tried Im not too interested, the coffee feels like an afterthought and doesnt last..Update: I finally tried an AC dupe with an as strong and lasting coffee note as this, Arabiyat Fondue Velvet Dip! Its now my second favourite coffee frag) would smell like from their descriptions. It also doesnt smell exactly like French Coffee (the only similarity is they are both chocolately), and it definitely doesnt smell like Eternal Coffee (EC smells stale to me and the coffee smells instant, it also disappears into this milky coconut smell while Qahwa is strong and realistic brewed smell). The coffee is more roasted and blackened here and the blend is far more complex, mature and enjoyable. It does lean a bit towards that very dark coffee candy but the overall vibe is much more cup of spicy dark chocolately coffee than straight up coffee candy. Update: I'm starting to feel a little bit sickened by the cardamom in the opening especially. It feels very medicinal and destroys the opening for me. I'm so sad, this is probably a note I have to avoid in the future! Fortunately it does dissipate after a while then the fragrance is yummy and lovely but I have to say the cardamom is a tricky note, so it knocks it down a bit for me as I want to be in love with the full journey of a fragrance. But the drydown is lovely, the brew, the smokiness, the sweetness, the little freshness is so exquisite so I will still enjoy wearing this. Further update: the cardamom has totally blended in much better now! This is a really gorgeous fragrance now it smells so much more well done. I also got the Caramel Macchiato and I enjoy that one too.

This is perfect for gourmand lovers, but honestly it's so versatile that anyone can use it. It goes on any user, any age, in any weather and for any occasion. That's because it literally smells like a nice cup of coffee. Do note that this means the aroma could literally be lost in certain environments such as a kitchen, a workplace lunch room, or an actual coffee shop -- anywhere where the aroma of actual real coffee brewing can be smelled. Qahwa lacks other notes than its siblings and competition add (such as florals, oud, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, etc.), and so users should be aware that it lacks the depth and complexity of both the other fragrances in the Coffee Collection line as well as competition such as Rochas Man and Man Intense and Lattafa's Khamrah Qahwa. On the other hand, its directness and straightforwardness may also appeal to users. If you really REALLY like the aroma of coffee, this is the one for you. Recommended.

Excellent blend of cardamom and a synthetic chocolatey coffee accord in the opening. Immediately reminded me of Nicolai's Caravanserail Intense without the fruity raspberry or ambrocenide. The replacement base is a rather powdery or fluffy vanilla, with a touch of sparkle from ethyl maltol, both of which become more prominent throughout. Although the coffee accord doesn't come close to the one in Kerosene's Follow or Coffee Addict, it's still passable and better than any designer I've tried so far - including A*Men Pure Coffee, Halloween Man X, Rochas Man, Givenchy's Play, Ferragamo Uomo, Valentino Uomo and many others. But it's certainly not a bag of freshly roasted beans. More like a dark brown instant coffee blend. The fragrance is decently sweet though (so not a black coffee), and the vanilla makes it seem more lactonic as it dries down. In the mid, it's essentially perfectly balanced and doesn't stray from the main sweet coffee theme. The woody amber used is also not heavy handed and smells like it's part of the coffee accord. From the line, I also have Kopi Luwak - which is a persistent oud-rose and NOT a coffee fragrance imo - and much prefer this one. If you're looking for a sweet and chocolatey coffee fragrance to layer with, this could be a solid option. In fact, if you add it to the original A*Men, it smells better than the actual Pure Coffee to me. With Pure Tonka it smells like coffee cookies. Yum. But as a stand-alone, it's pretty basic and doesn't really remind me of any of the fragrances listed in the 'reminds me of' section. Besides the Nicolai in the opening of course. Wouldn't recommend it to those who don't like cardamom. Scent - 7.8/10 Longevity - 7.5/10 Projection - 7/10 Overall - 7.5/10

This opens with a blast of cardamom, a faint smoke note, and a somewhat sweet coffee note. On the drydown, the cardamom fades away faster than I would like, and you're left with only the sweet coffee note. I almost think I smell something milky, but that might be just because I expect to smell milk when I smell coffee and sugar. I was hoping for more spice and less sugar in this. Nevertheless, the coffee smell is pleasant and it's not as overpoweringly sweet as some coffee fragrances. I hesitate to actually wear it because I don't want to smell like I just spilled coffee on myself, but I probably will try it out at some point when the weather gets colder.

Smells exactly like the Kopiko coffee candy tastes. The opening is just pure coffee that lasts for like an hour, then it turns into a sweet coffee-ish fragrance. Asked people around me what they thought, one person loved it, the rest liked the scent but not as a fragrance. It's too coffee-ish for them.

Nose Note #163 In the opening and for next 10-15min it doesn't smell like coffee to me. Just a mildly spicy and stale mash that's not very pleasant. It does smell coffee-like in the sillage. Maybe I just haven't smelled that type of coffee Really interested what the other offerings from this line smell like

كنت متحمس لهذا العطر لان رائحة القهوة العربية صعب ضبطها لانها رائحتها غير متوفر كرائحة خام عند شركات الروائح الغربية لذلك لاتوجد عطور تحاكي رائحتها لذلك عرفت انه اذا كان سيكون العطر مضبوط يجب على شركة فريغرنس ورلد صناعة مزيجهم الخاص، وكنت اخشى ان يتكاسلوا ويقوموا باستخدام رائحة قهوة اسبريسو عادية. وفعلا هذا ماحصل رائحة العطر مجرد رائحة عطرهم الاخر دبل اسبريسو، والتي هي رائحة قهوة رخيصة وشديدة الحلاوة مثل التي تستخدمها شركات الحلاو المصاص بنكهة القهوة، يعني حتى ليست قهوة مرة لتعطيها قليل من الفخامة هذا هو نفسه عطر دبل اسبريسو بالضبط ١٠٠٪ ولكن مضاف له رائحة هيل خفيفه. سيء جدا جربت اكثر من ٥٠ عطر من شركات التقليد ومنهم فريقرنس ورلد وهذا ودبل اسبريسو اسوأهم. لكن هذا افضل قليلا من دبل اسبريسو - It is not Arabic coffee as the company claims, not even remotely. This perfume is the same as their other release, Double Espresso, but with a light touch of cardamom added. I was excited for this fragrance because the scent of Arabic coffee is very hard to recreate. Its raw aroma isn’t available to Western fragrance suppliers, so there are no perfumes that truly imitate it. For that reason, I expected that if the perfume were to be accurate, Fragrance World would need to create their own accord, I was worried they would be lazy and just use a standard espresso note, and that is exactly what happened. The scent is simply their Double Espresso perfume, which smells like cheap, overly sweet coffee similar to what candy companies use in coffee-flavored lollipops. It isn’t even a bitter coffee note that could add some elegance. It is the exact same scent as Double Espresso 100%, just with a light cardamom note added. Very bad. I have tried more than 50 perfumes from clone houses including Fragrance World, and this along with Double Espresso are the worst by far. But this one is slightly better because the cheap coffee notes are less obvious due to the presence of other notes

It lasts long but barely has any sillage - I have to be closer than 10 cm to my arms to detect it, but this is the best coffee scent I smelt so far and it's dirt cheap. Smells exactly like a brown coffee candy from my childhood. I also love it's green color; very elegant. Makes me feel good every time I wear it, but others probably won't notice this fragrance on you if they aren't hugging you. With some real projection it would be one of my favourite scents.

This might be my favourite line of Arab fragrances (along with Amirs from Ajmal). Quahwa is a photo realistic coffee/quahwa/kava scent, lasts long, and it doesn't change much; it just gets a bit sweeter with a slight leathery undertone. "Coffee Liqueur" - a comment. "Good, right?" -- "No, just too realistic, who'd want to smell like that?"... Apparently, I would, I enjoyed it.

I bought this in hopes that it would be an affordable option for Akro Awake, which I also own. While Akro is very coffee and cardamon forward (maybe even a little chocolatey), this one smells pretty different because of the heavy smoke accord. Sillage is moderate and the opening is pretty strong. Lasts easily about 8 hours for me. TL;DR-- dark spiced coffee next to a campfire

I bought Indonesian coffee for £100/50ml and this for £25/100ml at the same time. This is better. Indonesian coffee goes vanillic, white, wet suede after an hour or so. Qahwa stays brown and bitter. Like coffee. Nice bottle too. And the cap SNAPS back into place.
