Gorgeous iridescent Iris are surrounded with many other luscious floral, and has the purple, rosy, creamy golden feel. Overdose orris root is so creamy, smooth and doughy. There are some classic old school bases but has more natural fresh floral at the same time, which makes it very intoxicating. High quality work for iris lover, especially you like the combination of rose and iris .

A local NZ brand from Wellington! How exciting! Tried it out at WORLD in Britomart yesterday with my partner who is usually a floral bomb. We LOVE it instantly. On paper, a very bold and ripen ylang note dominated the scent. It was very intense that I could get a little fermented nuances within the stamens of the ylang. A slightly indolic jasmine grandiflora supported the whole scent with its fruity, deep sweetness. On my skin, it gave me straight huge ylang and some lilac. It was rather deep balsamic and not so banana. Then it became warmer with vanilla, sandalwood and musk came forward to support the bouquet. Interestingly, my partner skin amplified the bright aldehydic ylang facet together with some powdery iris and rose which was very elegant. It then transformed to the same ylang-lilac combo but on steroid! Honeyed and pee-like... Overall a great scent playing on ylang, lilac, rose and jasmine. It lasted for about 8 hours on both of us. Palatine is marketed as a unisex fragrance, but you definitely can tell from the notes that it is a feminine leaning scent. A guy may pull it off if he is gentle and elegant enough. I would recommend it to ladies over 25.

Frater references Rome's Palatine Hill, once the center of the Roman Empire, as the inspiration for this fragrance. Palatine opens with a salvo of iris - cool, crisp, powdery but also beautifully lush. I detect peach, violet, and ylang in the opening as well. As it dries down, I get the rose, and other springtime floral notes. In the base, Palatine's floral notes soften and dissipate to a warm, musky finish. It is very similar to Iris Poudre by Frederic Malle. The quality of the materials is apparent. I never got a whiff of anything synthetic or scratchy, though I found myself wanting it to push off the skin a little more. On the other hand, it's quite comforting and soft, and I could see it making a great signature scent for a very elegant person. Unisex.
