Last Minute Change Of Heart

I wish I had filmed the first time I sprayed this! I felt my face light up and I actually laughed out loud, it’s a big sweet fruity, juicy bubblegum that takes me right back to childhood I notice a pear note that reminds me of those pink foam shrimps, I also feel like there are some foam bananas in there too and they’re lightly dusted with a fine powdered sugar. Basically it’s all the fruity fun sweets of childhood and it’s so damn fun and nostalgic. That huge fruity bubblegum note does calm right down very quickly and I start to notice some other smells from childhood, marker pens! I get some solvent like elements and I have to say it does get a bit weird, this is around the point that I feel like there’s a hidden malevolence behind that sweet façade, making me think of a Stephen King film with a fairground and all the terrible things that can be masked by the noise and delicious smells . The fruity sugariness does remain for the whole life of the fragrance but just softens as time goes by. The weird solvent/marker pen stage is reasonably short lived too. I become aware of dry powdery woods with a hint of spice, and this dry woodsy tone slowly takes over to become the main player. In time I also notice a caramel like facet to the woods but not actual caramel if that makes sense, almost like the wood itself has been caramelised. It’s also at this later stage I notice the strawberry, which must have been present in the overall fruitiness but has just become clearer. The majority of the time on my skin has the dry powdery woods as the main player. The sweetness factor is not as high as you might expect, apart from maybe the first few minutes. The final dying notes on my skin feel like clean woods and a tiny touch of sugar. I do detect some of those aroma chemicals that I’m not a fan of (the dry woodsy ones) however they are dealt with a light hand and are not too scratchy. Overall I think this fragrance is fun but it’s not for me. I generally prefer my perfumes to smell more natural and this is also a touch dry for my tastes but I do think it’s worth checking out if you’re not a mega fussy biatch like me!
