Cocoa Morado

I’m a huge Jordi Fernández fan, especially his collaborations with Crivelli. Of the three most famous Crivelli extraits, Oud Cadenza is my favourite. I’m genuinely obsessed with it, and I’m extremely familiar with both its DNA and the materials used to construct it. I like to think I’m not a snob. I judge fragrances on their own merit rather than the name on the bottle. That said, when it comes to Crivelli dupes, I’ll admit the hidden snob in me has always dismissed them outright. I’ve often said in previous reviews that nobody is ever truly replicating those Crivelli accords — and to a large extent, I still believe that. However, after receiving a decant gifted by a friend who insisted I give it a fair try, I have to admit something rather uncomfortable: this fragrance completely shocked me. It genuinely perplexed me just how good it is. Cocoa Moroda is around 80% accurate to Oud Cadenza — and honestly, that is an astonishing and borderline unbelievable achievement for a fragrance that currently costs around £25 in the UK. The remaining 20% is only going to be noticeable to those with a trained nose and deep familiarity with the raw materials used in Oud Cadenza. Even then, I find it hard to fathom how anyone could fail to appreciate what has been achieved here at such an accessible price point. So why does this fragrance feel so impressive despite being “only” 80% accurate? Here’s why. Oud Cadenza is built using Givaudan’s premium materials, most notably OPRUR — from the French “Or Pur”, meaning pure gold. These are some of the highest-grade, most carefully selected naturals and specialty ingredients Givaudan offers: the crème de la crème from the world’s most prestigious fragrance house. That is why Oud Cadenza commands such a high price. It isn’t simply brand profiteering — far from it. The cost lies in the materials themselves and the licensing required to use these exceptional ingredients. And yet, despite all of that, Miroslav Perkov has achieved what I previously thought was impossible: a remarkably accurate, high-quality alternative to my beloved Oud Cadenza. Perhaps it shouldn’t be that surprising when you consider Perkov’s résumé, which includes creations such as Dolce Amalfi, Fan Your Flames X, and multiple Bond No. 9 releases. So what are the actual differences between Cocoa Moroda and Oud Cadenza? The opening: it isn’t as intense or as rich, and I get infrequent glimpses of something I can’t quite describe — a slightly funky nuance. It’s not bad, and it only appears fleetingly during the first few minutes, but to my nose it’s there and it definitely isn’t present in Oud Cadenza. Sillage and projection aren’t as forceful, though still comfortably above average. Longevity is also reduced, but it’s no slouch. Expect around 3–4 hours of noticeable projection before it begins to sit closer to the skin. You’ll still easily smell it on yourself 8+ hours later, and even longer on clothes. Those distinctions exist — and they do matter — but they don’t take away from the fact that Cocoa Moroda stands as an exceptional achievement in its own right. I’ve already bought a bottle of this, and I’ll still be getting another full bottle of my beloved Oud Cadenza. But make no mistake: this is a high-quality fragrance, and it deserves genuine respect for what has been achieved here.

As stated by other reviewers, this is for oud lovers! The word that comes to mind when smelling this scent is 'uncompromising'. It doesn't strike me as an overpowering scent, but it firmly draws you in with its subtle boldness, richness and complexity. There is a quiet regality to this that is hinted at by the purple bottle - I enjoy this scent profile and DNA immensely. I find this particular scent to be immensely engaging. It's quite addicting and I catch myself unwittingly pulling my arm to my face to take it in quite frequently throughout the day. A lot of the reviews were touting Azzure Aoud as the stronger of the two, but this has not been my experience at all. I own both fragrances and on my skin, the superior performance of Cocoa Morado is undeniable! In my first encounter with it, I sprayed a sample on my wrist at the store - this was at around 11 in the morning, and i wasn't expecting much. My intention was to buy another fragrance, but found myself drawn to this one more than my initial desired purchase after experiencing it. Two days later I could still smell Cocoa Morado on my skin - after showering. That was it for me. I got myself a bottle a couple of days later and have had no regrets since. Going to let it sit until next winter to see what further surprises lie in store when its had time to mature. I believe this to be of niche quality but I'll leave that for the cognoscenti to debate - I can only suppose it doesn't quite match the original (which i haven't smelled yet), but for what it is, the value proposition is quite compelling. The opening can be a touch harsh (which is to be expected), but my warm skin helps to smoothen out the roughness a tad, so I find it liveable. All in all, it's a solid 9 for me. Hats off to French Avenue for yet.

Honestly, Cocoa Morado is one of those fragrances that instantly makes you go “okay... this is different.” From the first spray, you’re hit with a bold mix of warm spices 🌶️ cardamom, cinnamon, saffron..paired with a slightly bitter-green opening that feels sharp but exciting. Don’t worry though, that punchy edge fades fast. As it settles, the magic really starts. The sweetness comes in deep and rich, with dates taking center stage 🍯✨ fruity, sugary, and slightly exotic. This part is seriously addictive. It’s the kind of scent that makes you keep sniffing your wrist for no reason. The oud here is very wearable 🪵🔥 not funky, not barnyard, just lightly smoky and smooth, acting as a backbone for the spices and sweetness. In the dry down, leather appears softly, wrapped in vanilla, tonka, and resinous notes, giving a dark, ambery, and elegant finish 🤍🖤. Sweet, but never syrupy. Performance? Solid. Longevity and projection easily punch above its price 💪💸. For around $44, it smells way more expensive than it should. Overall, Cocoa Morado feels niche, rich, and addictive without being hard to wear. Definitely a fall/winter banger 🍂❄️, cozy but confident. If you like warm, sweet-spicy scents with depth, this one is lowkey dangerous—you’ll keep reaching for it. Verdict: underrated, addictive, and absolutely worth it 🔥✨

Unfortunately, this perfume does not start very well. It starts very spicy and the slightly sharp smell of nutmeg is clearly visible in the top note of the perfume. Fortunately, after about 15 minutes, the middle note of the perfume appears and the intensity of the spiciness of the perfume is greatly reduced. At this point, a light oud smell is added to the perfume and a very, very slight sweet note is added to the perfume, which is under the light oud layer, of course, this slight sweetness may not be noticeable to everyone, because it is very faint and the oud smell and very little burning are more pronounced. شروع عطر بوی خوبی نداره متأسفانه. شروعش خیلی اسپایسی هست و بوی کمی تیز مربوط به جوز هندی در تاپ نت عطر کاملا مشهوده. خوشبختانه بعد از حدود ۱۵ دقیقه بوی نت میانی عطر ظاهر میشه و از شدت اسپایسی بودن عطر به مقدار زیادی کاسته میشه. در این مرحله بوی عودی ملایمی به عطر اضافه میشه و یک ته بوی شیرینی که بسیار بسیار جزئی هست و زیر لایه ی عودی ملایم هست، به عطر افزوده میشه، البته شاید برای هر شخصی این شیرینی جزیی قابل تشخیص نباشه، چون بسیار کمرنگه و بوی عودی و خیلی کم سوختگی بیشتر خودش رو نشون میده

I honestly feel unstoppable when wearing this Here's what I can tell you from my experience: - It lasts the whole lot, I once sprayed this all over me, went to work on Friday, came back on Monday, and I could still smell the fragrance on my work desk since I rubbed my forearms on it while wearing it. - Some people will hate it and some will love it - Pretty sure I had an ONS just because the girl loved the fragrance - Another girl from work said that I sorta smell like a cow - A buddy said that I smell like an old communist when we first met, then after a few hours he said that he actually likes the drydown and asked for the frag name - It gives me a lot of confidence, knowing that it's so powerful and long lasting - I feel like it smells like Nesquick in the drydown and it's very enjoyable for me - Could be considered very sexy, but the initial few minutes after spraying it sorta make you smell like hay to basic people If you wanna smell good while offending normies who only know Aqua Di Gio and One Million, it's a 10/10

To say this fragrance is complex is an understatement. This has an exceptional mix of ingredients, each one complimenting the other, and while one dries out, another one takes it's place. It walks the very fine line between linear and non-linear to me, the core of the fragrance stays true throughout the day, but certain elements vary and change. It opens with lots of resins and super sweet from the dates, then slowly trades the resins for incense and the dates for caramel. The performance is ungodly. This being an EDP dupe of an Extrait - I expected below par longevity and projection - but damn was I wrong. Over 6 feet of projection for the first 4 HOURS, overall longevity is no less than 12 hours as a bear minimum on my skin. This fragrance is for those who prefer potents fragrances like the Oud line from Maison Crivelli (go figure), Hugo Boss Bottled Absolu, or Armani Prive's Noir Kogane. I haven't had the chance to try Oud Cadenza, but now I really want to.

Won't lie, this wasn't something I liked immediately after spraying it, straight out of a new bottle, half an hour and a different purchase later, I simply had to go back and get it. It can be quite harsh at first, certainly off-putting if one's not accustomed to the style this fragrance tries imitating, but if you are, I'd say it is 100% worth the asking price. Lasts quite well on both skin, clothing (don't spray it too close, or there will be stains to contend with) and it will cling to hair like lice, If I use this at any point in a week, it'll be on my hair when I wash it. Is it good year round? Depends on one's degree of sociopathy, but realistically, given that nowadays AC is present pretty much everywhere, I doubt it'd be too cloying in summer heat. Is it safe for office wear? I'd say so, it is fairly smooth, quite pleasant and, worst case scenario, it'll keep others away from your personal space. Goes well with a bit of cherry too.

It's not great out of the box so spray it a dozen times and let it sit for a month. It will open up as the delicious dark fragrance that it is apparently supposed to be. Too quick to judge was one of my issues. Most of my Middle Eastern fragrances need time to develop. I'm now doing that. This is one of them. I have the trilogy of French Avenue Liquid Brun, this one and Azzure Oud and the Brun is a massive clone of Althair which most of you should already know about and it is to me now indistinguishable from the OG. Now after nearly 2 months this is coming into its own in a massive way. I really didn't expect it to happen as it's a difficult thing to get niche down pat consistently but now this is powerful, strong, dark and it smells fantastic. I'm really looking forward to Azzure Oud maturing and to see what it has to offer in a few weeks. This is class and smells far beyond the money I spent on obtaining it.

Bought this in early July, smelt it and almost puked. Literally the only frag (along with Royal Night from The Woods Collection - SAME INITIAL REACTION, SAME AFTER ~3 months - G R E A T) I wanted to throw in the bin after I tried it, didn't even consider trying to sell it, I don't want to make enemies when it's not the case, LOL! I tried it AGAIN in early August, same crap, also ~40+C degrees outside. Tried it again today, last days of September, and.. oh my.. it smells as the description says it does, AS IN GREAT! Might've been the fact that I tried it in the summer heat.. might've needed some (TWO MONTHS+) to M world (macerate)?! I have NO CLUE! But it smelt like a weird heavy smoke at first, now it has all those sweet notes added to it, you can almost tell each and every one apart! It's UNREAL! For whomever likes oud, myrrh, dates, caramel, cinnamon and all the other notes, this IS IT! And IT LASTS!

On my chest this is a spicy, leathery cola scent. My hands aren't as warm and the scent from spraying the back of them is much creamier, with noticable saffron and oud, and lots of cocoa-buttery caramel. Very gourmand. Surprisingly good in hot weather too, it's not as strong as I thought it'd be and the heat also mutes it a bit. Unisex, but not for everybody. 8 to 10 hours longevity over heavy moisturiser in hot weather, with moderate to intimate sillage in 3 hours or so from 4 sprays, some which got on my clothes. (Longevity and sillage will very likely change as the weather does.) Layers really nicely with my Cocoa Velvet Axe deodorant, and with Obsession Night Pour Homme by Calvin Klein.

This is definitely not blind buy safe. In the opening it smells like car tires, but once it dries down I can smell the cocoa and it starts to smell better. Personally I am not a big fan of it, I would see myself wearing it in a winter night when I want to smell "different". The performance on this is amazing tho, It stays a whole day on and really projects. In the air it smells better, but don't let people smell it directly from your skin 6/10 the opening is the worst, I appreciate the scent, it's like a work of art, but it's hard to get compliments with this.

Nose Note #113 At first I thought, damn, this smells like shit. But day after day I grew to absolutely love it. I have Azzure Oud too, and honestly they are a lot similar. Both are like heavy leather/oud with some tropical fruit on top. Absolutely rarity, a beauty. What a bang for buck. The presentation too. Too bad NOT EVERYONE to say the least appreciates the smell. My wife got alarmed that I got another leather smelling scent because to her it literally smells like shit and I understand But damn, such good shit

I just don't care what others say, this is one of the best cheap fragrances out there. The ones who said it's bad, have their nose broken or they are used with lame designer perfumes only. Cacao Morado smells just great and it smells niche all the way. I don't feel too much smokey notes but it smells fantastic and it smells like a niche fragrance with a price above 400$. The longevity is very good but the sillage not that good. Fill the room? Not a chance. I just received it and imediatly ordered a backup bottle.

NO comment its STRONG Tried these couple of days its 10'C .WOW. it lasts from the morning to the night 12 easy working performance:1-4 hour Enormous choke someone,4-10 still going arms lenght people will turn around for the now ambery-sweet. After 10 hours this is a small bubble around u. DONT SPRAY ON CLOTHES Opening is a little to spicy for my liking but i get past it and its great after 30min. got it for 32$ from a discounter.GREAT FRAGRANCE only for winter cold just like AZZURE aoud.

Just got it, 02.2025 batch. To my nose strong oudy opening, mid for me its very safronly, but the drydown is all about this perfume, smels amazing, like date bit not sweet khamrah date, like date perfume for serious person, but a lot is going on at drydown. Smells amazing in air, much more amazing than upclose. It survive a shower, its strong skin scent after shower. I think this will be much more beautifull after maceration. Ill update after several months at the begining of winter.

at first I didn't like this fragrance, but over time I started to love it. the first time I got it, it smelled like car tires but after maceracion it turned into a beautiful sweet and oudh scent that I absolutely love. It is strong, on clothes lasting days and on skin over 10h w strong projection, I got compliments with it, but it's definitely not blind buy safe, it smells better in the air. in my opinion this fragrance is more for people who appreciate the art in perfumery

Once this thing matures it becomes f*king nuclear fr. Very unique scent profile, obviously it is NOT mass appealing at all. The oud in this is not that prominent for me compared to ombre nomade dupe, maybe it’s just not that animalic. Overall one of, if not the longest lasting and hardest projecters in my collection, smell wise I would probably give it 8.5 out of 10. At the 30 dollar price point for me is a no-brainer and a must have for every fragrance enthusiast.

Absolutely stunning performance. The first time I sprayed this it smelled like a farmhouse cow shit pile. After a while a whole other perfume presented itself. It's still a bit dirty in the background in a good way, since I am brought up close to farms. The oud reminds me of just that. Then there is this leather and almost burnt wood fragrance. Very warm and nice. And sometimes the lrfume shifts a bit to a more perfumey powdery slightly musky scent. I love it.

These are just my initial impressions. It opens off oudy with some spice. Sweetness starts coming in 10-15 minutes later but this is by no means a sweet scent. It’s still oudy and leathery with a sweet touch. I don’t get the gourmand aspect of it either. As I just got it, I won’t judge its performance just yet but it was projecting just fine for about 2 hours. Overall, it’s a really nice scent, but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s gourmand or ‘sweet.’

Firstly let me say after buying FA Liquid Brun and being pleasantly surprised, I then bought Cocoa Morado and Azzure Aoud. This opens with a spicy smell that lasts around 20 mins and then drops into its sweet phase. It kind of reminds me of JPG le male elixir that I own but didn’t like. Cocoa Morado kind of grows on you, people can smell it as it wafts around you. My bottle is from 2/24. Now on my third wear and probably become my signature scent
