Vanilla for Breakfast

I don’t know what the two reviewers below my post are talking about — they are trippin’! This juice is a gotdamn banger! This is my type of vanilla. It is not gourmand, which is a plus for me since I am not too much of a gourmand lover. This is a unisex take on an amber-y vanilla (done right!). It’s strong. It IS sweet, but not cloying, or juvenile. The best comparison I can think of for now — If 7 minutes and Italica had a love child, it would be Vanilla for Breakfast. 12/10

A dream combo of vanilla tonka milk with sweet almond. A little roasty but not too warm; decadent but not TOO gourmand or sugary. Also it's an eternal bomb. A little goes a long way, and it will last literally days on hair and clothes, even on skin tbh. And I've been wearing it in hot weather.

It wasn’t what I expected but I quite like it. Reminds me of Supreme Nectar in the deep drydown. Opens up with a really powdery almond cookie, almost like vanilla macarons before revealing a deep tonka base. Nothing like Bianco Latte at all.

Got my sample today, and I can't wait to share my first impressions! To me, it's more about tonka than vanilla. As a pastry chef, it instantly reminds me of tonka-infused heavy cream. Imagine leaving a glass of heavy cream with tonka beans in the fridge overnight, then taking your first sniff the next day. That's exactly the vibe I get. It's creamy, milky, and slightly nutty (probably because tonka beans and almonds both contain coumarin). This delicious scent blends beautifully with a luxurious body care accord, making it feel balanced. I really like it. Even in the summer heat, it never became cloying. That said, I wouldn't call it beast mode. On my skin, this lovely blend of notes becomes quite subtle after about 5 hours. I'll probably end up finishing my sample!

This was a blind buy for me and it is definitely not a safe blind buy even for vanilla lovers. I was actually a little taken aback by the opening of this. It opens like a new pack of Marlboro Lights. You take the plastic off, and pull open the top and get a whiff of the slightly sweet, dry scent of fresh tobacco. After a few minutes the vanilla and tonka bloom on your skin and you get the feeling that someone passing you would get a blast of vanilla even if that’s not quite what you’re smelling. The thing is though, the cigarette note never really leaves, and you smell it whenever you bring your wrist to your nose. I can’t tell if I love it or hate it. It’s not at all what i expected.

Still confused if I want to keep this. It opens on me with a very bitter almond note. After 5 minutes it's a strong amber-vanilla. 1 hour later is a beautiful lactonic vanilla. I would not define this a purely gourmand at all. To me it could change a lot with cold environments, I don't think summer is the best season to have it shine. EDIT I really think summer it's the worst season for this perfume. Had the chance to try it in a more chilly weather day and it was a total change. I confirm it's not a typical gourmand, and lasts DAYS on skin and on clothes.

It’s a like, not a love. This is not gourmand (which is great!). I wish I could smell all the different variants of vanilla that FC has advertised. I’m mostly getting Tonka and a cheapie vanilla chapstick. During the scent journey, I actually pick up something ever so slightly floral. I mean VERY lightly. Not indolic, but a waft of an airy pink floral. It’s fleeting so don’t worry! 6/10

Does anybody else smell lemon? I used Presser le citron by Versatile Paris that day my samples came and I thought I am smelling presser le citron instead of Vanilla. To me it smells almost identical. It is bright, clean, sweet, creamy scent. I cant believe there is no lemon note. It is nice, nothing super gourmand, spring/summer scent.

I like it, but I don't need a full bottle of it. I actually found it to be less vanilla and instead a true tonka with some almond. Is it nice? Yes! Is it interesting? Yes! Is it what I expected? No. I think the reviews of this online aren't accurate - this does not give anything edible or super gourmand. I will use up my sample but I will turn my attention elsewhere when she's gone. EDIT: I’ve tried it a few more times and I can’t handle it anymore. I’m not sure what it is but there is a strong bready, tonka mix that makes me recoil every time I smell it. Will be decluttering.

Super disappointed by this. It smells like dirt to me? I don't know how else to describe it. I am a vanilla and almond lover so I expected to love this but it just smells like I dropped a handful of blanched, flavorless almonds into a pile of dirt. There's no sweetness or sugar, no marzipan, no dreamy vanilla. Definitely get a sample before a full bottle if you're interested because surprisingly, this is not a safe blind buy.

Bianco Latte with nuts in it, or Vanilla Haze without the caramel and coconut. The tonka bean is almost realistic, but the perfume is too lactonic for me

I really wanted to like this but it does smell like a lighter shaghaf Oud. I don't get much vanilla and it reminds me of playdough.

I had high expectations for Vanilla for Breakfast, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to them. To my nose, it’s essentially a softer blend of Vanilla Haze and Vanilla Haze Extrait by Fugazzi. It takes a bit from both, yet doesn’t offer a unique identity of its own. My biggest disappointment is the performance. Vanilla Haze and especially the Extrait project beautifully and leave an addictive scent trail. Vanilla for Breakfast, on the other hand, stays very close to the skin. It’s soft, creamy and pleasant, but never really comes alive. If you already own one of the Vanilla Haze versions, I don’t think this fragrance brings anything new to your collection. Nice, but I think Fugazzi performs better .

I love Pear Pavlova so much that I blindbought FC’s new release Vanilla for Breakfast. Really didn’t know what to except but I saw the notes (especially all that VANILLA in the middle!!!!) so I had to order it. I’ve had it for 3 days now and all I got to say is that I’m a lil dissapointed. Don’t care for the opening so much and on the drydown VFB smells EXACTLY like Lick Me but more dense/full. The cheap cap makes squeeky noises. Beastmode performance though, You will smell Vanilla for Breakfast the next day so a + for that. But please change those awful caps for the next release

When I first smelled this, it kind of smelled like a mixture of Vanilla Haze, Milk Bold, and Tonka Latte. After letting it settle from mail shock, I think this smells almost identical to Sissa. I have both and can hardly tell a difference.

Weaker shaghaf Oud tonka. As someone who’s not a huge fan of almond notes, this is bearable but only once the dry down comes. Perfect amount of sweetness.

This should be called Tonka for breakfast. It is an absolute blast of Tonka with a little bit of almond in the background. Not a fan.
