Oud Vainilla

New in my collection Fueguia Oud Vainilla The Oud Vainilla CO2 is not like the smell of ordinary culinary vanillin: it is a complex and intense range of woody and animal (animalistic) aromas with notes of spices, allspice, tobacco and flowers, a thick sweetness and a spicy-vanilla trail. You will be surprised by the unusual aroma of true vanilla! CO2 extraction. A new method of vanilla extraction using CO2 carbon dioxide has become widespread relatively recently. To produce vanilla CO2 extract, vanilla beans are placed in a chamber and exposed to liquefied carbon dioxide gas at low temperatures, which eliminates the thermal destruction of vanilla components. The gas is then returned to the atmosphere, of which it is a part, without residue. All that remains is the purest extract. This process extracts the flavor, medicinal compounds and aroma of the vanilla beans without damaging them, and the result is a more concentrated form of vanilla with a stronger flavor and longer shelf life. CO2 Vanilla Extract will last much longer (up to 10 years) and still be effective. For a long time, vanilla was brought to Europe from Mexico, and its value was exceptionally high. Attempts to grow vanilla outside of Mexico were unsuccessful: the plant took root, but the pods did not set. The problem was that vanilla was pollinated by endemic melipona bees, which were not found in other countries. It wasn't until 1841 that a twelve-year-old black slave from Reunion Island, Edmond Albius, discovered a way to hand-pollinate vanilla. After that, the plant spread widely around the world and Reunion Island became one of the main exporters of vanilla. Thus, vanilla requires hand pollination. The vanilla flower only opens for one day and if it is not hand pollinated, there will be no vanilla. Pollinating each flower is simply an incredible Herculean effort! Vanilla is a delicate plant that requires certain climatic conditions. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for vanilla crops to fail due to drought or hurricanes. A recent hurricane in Madagascar damaged vanilla plantations and as a result, vanilla prices, already high, flew to the moon. Now 1 kg of bourbon vanilla pods costs around $300 +- on plantations in Madagascar. And when vanilla is brought to other countries, the price doubles and triples.
