Perpetua

Intoxicating. It doesn’t smell like anything else, exactly. I get the comparison to euphoria but it’s not as heavy or intense. It starts out with a citrusy floral but the payoff for me is the dry down. The sweetness from the coumarin, slightly musky, some lingering florals, and I also get some tea notes. There’s a freshness to the warmth that’s hard to describe. It reminds me a little of Gap’s OM but better, more modern, or Sauvage Parfum. I just wish it lasted longer. It does linger for 4-5 hours as a, mostly, skin scent. It’s really pretty, though. Unisex for sure. Also as an FYI, F&R include a 1ml(?) sample to try if you haven’t already, so the full bottle is returnable if you don’t like it. Or, as a nice gift to someone who compliments the fragrance and would like to try. I think the included sample is something every house should consider.

Perpetua had me thinking hard, in a good way. Parts of it felt so familiar -- an almondy citrusy air that reminded me of Hermes Jardin Sur le Nil, the same fruity amber and mahogany note as CK Euphoria, something that evoked either one of my grandmother's perfumes or the Marriott hotel they used to stay in when they visited my family. The Marriott part really has me puzzled. Their Attune scented candle shares the citrus, jasmine, and cedar notes, so maybe Marriott is using similar ingredients as part of its lobby scent? The overall tone of this scent is warm, welcoming, soft, and airy. Very lovely and well-blended. I will probably be returning to this one.

I love this. I didn't get any citrus and the jasmine is very subtle, but the neroli and amber are gorgeous and well-blended with deep cedar notes. The aquatic note is very, very subtle--I only detect it if I take a very deep sniff of the fragrance and then its almost like I taste sea air rather than smelling marine notes, but they're definitely there. I got the "Classic" and "Cult" discovery sets from Fulton & Roark and wasn't really expecting much from Perpetua, but WOW. It has definitely made an impression.

I absolutely love Perpetua. It says it is a male fragrance, but I find it to be totally gender neutral and even on my own skin slightly feminine. It is so incredibly clean feeling. The citrus is the star for me. It is totally organic smelling. The subtle amber and floral give it a nice depth and complexity. I've reached for it nonstop lately. If you want clean and easy this is perfect for you.

I tried two of the discovery sets and Perpetua was my favorite. It opens with an almost zesty fresh, clean citrus that’s rounded out with subtle floral notes. After a few minutes on my skin the amber starts to peak through with some subtle sweetness from the coumarin. I find myself catching whiffs of it throughout the day. It feels very natural and easy to wear.

The citrus and floral on this are absolutely lovely. It's fresh and clean, feels crisp. Wish it was a little longer lasting or more potent but you can smell it on yourself for most of the day.

Similar to the other scents from this house in that there's a clean soapy sensation coming from this fragrance. It is what you'd want your shampoo to smell like, leans feminine.

The floral citrusy smells just reminds me of spring.

So far, my favorite of my sample set and the only one i actually like. Clean, soapy, citrus, white floral. Really cozy, something about it reminds me of taking a bath in my grandma's oversized bathtub. The lemon in particular is really well blended in this. I get strong 'white tea' vibes from it. That being said............there are a lit of 'white tea' variety fragrances for a LOT cheaper.

Very clean and sweet in a good way and can be worn all year round... I'd argue that it's worth the price but if you want more bang for your buck-------get the solid fragrance instead, it does the same job... Inoffensive and well rounded plus a compliment getter if you're into the attention... 7.9/10

I really like this scent on paper and other people but I don't like how my skin chemistry changes it. It smells like old magazine pages with a sour note when it dries down on my skin. I should've gotten Fulton.

This one smells amazing. Sweet, but not too sweet. Warm, comforting. I would definitely purchase a bottle if only the longevity was better.

The initial spray of this fragrance is intoxicating: fresh, citrusy, bright, with a very mild floral undertone. The lemon and neroli play very well together. Within 15 minutes the scent begins to settle, turning into something slightly sweet and powdery. It's honestly a nice scent that, unfortunately, fades within the blink of an eye. I have a sample but cannot justify paying such a steep price for a frag that won't last through lunch. I like it for the hour it hangs around, but have to go with an ok rating because of the extremely poor longevity.

This is the least masculine of the fragrances from the discovery kit, but still stays pretty unisex. There's something bubblegum-y going on here that's a bit of a turn-off for me, but on the right person this would be swell.

Very sweet unisex frag that leans more feminine. I don't detect much lemon. Becomes a skin scent within an hour of application, but stays true to its opening for the remainder of its presence.

It's funny because for the first half hour or so, this smells extremely similar to Philosykos by Diptyque on me. Maybe the mix of the coumarin, amber, and white florals smells something like a coconut to me? It's a little more sparkling, which is likely because of the lemon. I don't smell straight lemon, but after that initial burst of coconut there is a sense of undefined citrus. After the opening, it smells like a fairly straightforward cedary ambery scent with some lightness from the fruit. It doesn't have amazing staying power and it was gone on me in a couple of hours. It might be a good Philosykos dupe for some at a lower price point. It doesn't last long, but people say that about Philosykos too, so your mileage may vary. Not worth a full bottle for me, but pleasant enough. 6.5/10.

It saddens me that the longevity of these perfumes is virtually nonexistent because Perpetua smells wonderful. I see the comparisons to Euphoria by CK, and it might be because I loved that perfume as a kid that I'm so into this one. Not unique or exciting, but certainly pretty.

White florals and bright citrus. It's very clean. Slightly soapy. Not sure how I feel about the soapiness but it's very inoffensive and pretty scent.
