Ricordami

I'm currently saving up for a full bottle of this after using up my sample faster than you can say "Ricordami" itself. This is a verdant, luscious perfume that opens with the smell of a garden in full display. Not a floral garden, but one closer to the grounds of the palace of Versailles or a countryside path that passes by an orchard. Strong foliage and fig leaf notes, then this extremely juicy citrus and melon note starts to seep through over the course of an hour. I got so many compliments wearing this out in hot weather, even at the farmer's market. It initially wraps you up in the vibrancy of late spring/early summer, before any of the fruit comes to bear but when the leaves are at their best. The coconut is absent on my skin, but I don't mind at all with how sweet the melon is when it comes in. It's like the scent transforms from spring to summer, and all of a sudden there is fruit juice dripping down your chin. When it dries down to a muskier scent, it becomes a bit more conventional. I wouldn't call it a "death," but it's something like waking from a dream into the real world. The perfume grows up, becomes more mature, but also less interesting in my opinion. Would have loved a pink pepper note at the base of this, and might try layering it with one of my peppery perfumes one day. In conclusion; I can see why this might not be for everyone, but I am head over heels for it. It's extremely complex and achieves the scent of nostalgia that it was going for. I want to live in the world it creates.

I immediately compared it to Allure Fig by Theodoros Kalotinis, but here it's a different story. • The difference: While Allure Fig is very milky, sweet and almost "chewy", Ricordami is noticeably drier and more marine. • The feeling: Here the fig leaf is mixed with salty aquatic notes, galbanum and a slight hint of coconut, but without becoming a beach lotion. It feels much more elegant, airy and somehow "mineral". It's like you're on a rocky shore and the wind carries the scent of sun-dried fig leaves. Unique!

loooove this. deeeeeply green, fig leaf green. less refined than philosykos by diptyque, in a good way, for me. that doesn't necessarily make it a better fragrance, though. there's not much to say; starts of extremely fig leaf green, dries down to noticeable aquatic notes, lily of the valley, and ambergris notes, but still with a very green profile overall. really lovely, but i can see how it could be difficult to wear because it is literally green in a bottle.

For me this is the nicest one out of the new three releases. The opening and mid is like sitting under a lemon tree. It’s bright, refreshing and aromatic. This part reminds me of Noa Noa by Botanicae which I have and love. After an hour or so though, those gorgeous aromatic green/lemon notes are gone and you’re left with a faint woody dry down. 10/10 for the first hour, 1/10 for the dry down. Skip this and buy Noa Noa instead! It lasts much longer

Omg the mother of all fig fragrances!! It’s so FRESH and GREEN! It smells like the leaves, The stem, and the fruit on a misty humid summer day!! I think I like this as much as Philosykos!

Piacevolissimo, personalmente non un profumo che indosserei normalmente, ma ha un profilo super interessante. Le note di legno di cedro e muschio di quercia lo rendono una fragranza un po' maschile. Fresco e acquoso, mi ricorda moltissimo l'odore della pioggia e petricore. Con il passare del tempo acquista note più agrumate ma purtoppo non sento proprio il melone e il cocco. A very pleasant fragrance. Personally, it's not something I would normally wear, but it has a really interesting profile. The cedarwood and oakmoss give it a slightly masculine character. Fresh and watery, it reminds me very strongly of the smell of rain and petrichor. As it develops, it becomes more citrusy, but unfortunately I don't detect the melon or the coconut at all.

Most people would agree there’s a difference between wanting to wear something which smells ‘smokey’ and wanting to smell like you’ve been stood next to a bonfire all night. The same must surely be true then for people who want to wear something vegetal without smelling like the inside of a hot greenhouse? It’s undoubtably impressive how the maker has managed to so precisely recreate the smell of a snapped plant stem. It is honestly uncanny. And that in and of itself isn’t an unpleasant scent. But that doesn’t mean you’d want to spray yourself with it, anymore than you’d want to spray yourself with the photorealistic essence of damp soil. This is a wonderful demonstration of the fact that just because you can do something, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should.

harsh opening, so strong that i felt bad for my fellow passengers on the train. bitter spicy celery. beneath, something sweet, light and green. in the middle, aromatic notes, fading to woody.

This is very very very very GREEN. Fig leaf is the primary smell and that’s pretty much all you can smell. There’s no citrus, melon, water note, coconut.... I have no idea who wants to smell like this but it isn’t me!

Very green in the opening, with an almost off-putting hexenal-y sharpness. It settles into a less offensive freshness within a couple of hours and fades completely by hour 6. Too dry and bitter to be wearable to me.

This is veeeeery green! Like a fresh cut grass tuned to a 1000 and very reminiscent of Untitled by Maison Margiela. A bit too sharp for me. Maybe , I should give it another chance in hot summer - could be that it will open up with some unexpected hidden sides of it - for now a visual representation of Ricordami is that of freshly squeezed green shoot grass juice. Should I have bought it blindly? probably not. I prefer to smelling it in a park rather than wearing it. To the notes - the note of fig (that I was craving so much in a new creation by GDT) emerges later down the line in all its bitter greenery but mixed with grass , no milkiness or tenderness found here. IMHO this scent is not floral at all - it is for someone starved of chlorophyll and vitamin D. I’d say spray it before the shower - it is strong enough to stay after you step out of it and project softer fig. ATTENTION⬇️ 180 degrees turn⬇️ EDIT: it has growin on me after accidental discovery! The scent is quite addictive , after the first blast of photorealistic greenery 15-20 minutes it turns in a slightly sweeter woody one, having sprayed it earlier and forgotten about it in the gym (yes guys I do use some frags in the gym😁, hate me for that💪) I noticed a soft wift of amazing woody polished slightly green scent around me. I frankly couldn’t believe the transformation Ricordami took! It’s amazing - I am keeping the whole bottle! Remember the transformation happens after about 15-20 minutes and lasts all through the day (Giardini do Toscana do not fail on longevity). If I had to compare it to anything it would be the original Molecule 01, pencil shavings ISO Super but without an ISO Super - it’s a dream! It is the sexiest all gender staple with a more natural feel to it. Have to try laying both fragrances over. how the creators of Ricordami achieved such a transformation from MM Untitled into a Molecule 01 most naturalpencil/ pine tree shaving/ new furniture smelling I have no idea , but it is the most polished luxurious sexy woody slightly green fragrance I have lately tried. A Keeper!

Like curried figs and sweat. Leaning into eggy for a while, then settles down rather nicely. I like it, but wouldn't wear it as a perfume, It would be great on some other women, probably better in warmer climes that rainy Scotland, but mostly I'd say it leans masculine. It has charisma, and reminds me a little bit of Cartier's Zeste de Soleil, which I also quite liked, but the problem was it reminded me of male sweat, nice male sweat, but that's not how I want to smell. My husband says it smells like grass, but tennis lawn grass. Hmm, yes, I'm getting rubbery tennis ball now. The only other one I'd say has this vibe is Hermes Eau d'Hermes, which smells like BO (cumin), lemon and leather wallet, Again, great on a guy. Ricordami/Remember me, yes I might remember someone wearing this. Weird, but nice. Grows on you.

The opening green note is undeniably fig leaf and it’s super accurate, but in tandem with the citrus is strongly of fresh cut grass—not just the smell of the grass itself but like you were playing soccer in a dewy, freshly mown field of grass and after lots of diving blocks your shirt is totally smeared green. The grass isn’t just cut, it’s macerated into your being. The melon, coconut and florals that are listed as middle notes never quite come through for me but eventually the warm woody base does and balances the extremely sharp green opening very nicely. This reads as very masculine to me, but it’s certainly a very well-done fragrance and the notes come across as quite natural and high-quality.

Extremely sharp, green, and sort of spicy opening in the same style of Beach Hut Man. The drydown smells like a slightly mellow version of the opening. It's also kinda soapy, like a mix of vetiver, cardamom, and lily otv. Kinda old school, and very manly-smelling. Why do some people compare it to Alluring Fig is just beyond comprehension!

Fig leaves, oakmoss, vetiver, cassis and the most bitter and angry Galbanum note you can imagine. Very green, very dry and stern. Not pretty, not sexy, nor elegant...just green and dry. Who wants to smell like this? I don't know...not me.
