Salaria

The nose behind Salaria is the master perfumer Paolo Terenzi for the house of Giardino Benessere. There is something about this fragrance that makes it stand out from other aquatic fragrances. The smell of seaweed is complimented with the Myrtle note that gives it a fresh kick as if you have just emerged out of the water and you are now enjoying the sun drying the sea water off your body. Salaria than takes a turn as if it mimics the sun drying the skin and leaving it smell of salt, musk and cedar. This fragrance takes my soul to a beautiful warm sunny beach, a peaceful transcendental fragrance that evokes happiness and brings a serene smile to my face. Although it's not a beast I found Salaria to be a very long lasting fragrance on my skin. I applied four sprays one on each arm and two on my neck. Projection was at least 6 feet for the first 3 hours and it lasted well over 10 hours on my skin. I imagine that this will last even longer in the Summer season. Considering this sells for Euro 90 for a 100ml EDP The presentation of the fragrance is truly impressive. It comes in a sturdy big box that holds the heavy bottle in place, along with beautifully designed heavy cap. Although I rotate my fragrances, I will probably be reaching for this fragrance much more often than those I currently own as it’s such a wonderful fragrance to wear. Salaria in my humble opinion manages to create a successfully realistic environment of the sea, sand, salt and sun. It is an absolute beautiful aquatic treasure. 10/10

Almost 4 years into my perfume journey and only recently have I given aquatics a try they deserve. Salaria was among those decants I've grabbed on my aquatic discovery quest and ohhh was I enchanted. This smells like bliss! Seaweed-y, salty bliss. Salaria manages to be salty and herbal at the same time, it doesn't reek of those "marine" air fresheners (I'm looking at you, MMM Sailing Day). Is it a beach frag? I guess it is, although I'd rather pick "seaside" for this one. Thanks to all those recent discoveries, I now have two categories of beach frags in mind: velvet-coconut-goodness type ones and imaginative-badass-salty-herbal ones. Obviously, Salaria belongs to the second type and it does make you feel badass, just as if you're standing on a seashore, looking at waves on the horizon, feeling like you can take whatever comes your way. Sorry for being cheesy, but wearing this scent feels like recharging your internal batteries. It smells surprisingly good in humid winter, no idea about warmer times of the year yet. To be honest, I never smelled myrtle so no idea about this note, but seaweed, salt and musk are here in all their greatness. I guess musk is what gives it such a lasting performance and great sillage. I got a lot of compliments on it and a FB for New Year, yay! Aquatic, purely aquatic kind of scent that smells like pure bliss. The kind of salty, seaweed type bliss with some of the herbal traits. I can say this is a beach smell because as soon as I wear this one, there is freshness and a feel as if I am on a beach surrounded by water and sand all around. I found this one as an olfactory experience rather than the scent as this really takes me to the trip of beaches as I close my eyes. Salaria is an imaginative, herbal, and badass type of fragrance that charges one and smells good in humid winter-type weather. Longevity is long-lasting and the silage is strong for this one. It tends to bring so many compliments every time I wear it. The bottle is simple yet elegant. Overall accords in it are aromatic, marine, musky, and salty with the powdery, herbal, and fresh spicy ones. Opening notes in this one is myrtle and seaweed while the heart has cedar and salt. Dry down is totally musk. It gives me warmth, peace, and freshness. My beachy bitch <3

Salaria opens up with powerful notes of Sea Breeze that expertly envelop the sweetness of Cassis and Myrtle which are balanced with some Seaweed, which give a fresh salty tone to the whole composition. The heart of the perfume is echoed by Italian Lavender combined with the freshness of Coumarine, emphasized by the famous Cervia Salt, in counterpoint with fresh Calabrian Bergamot. The entire design is based on notes of powerful and precious woods that give a persistence to the incredible fragrance. Craftily mixed with each other, the Cuban Cedar Wood and Birch immediately reverberate, amalgamating with the regal delicacy of Sandalwood in counterpoint with the fresh Oak Moss, in turn enriched by the intriguing power of the Musk. A ferny fragrance with brackish and daring tones, that gives the strength of the sea to the wearer.

On the rare occasion that I got to smell this from my buddy, I've always wanted to grab a bottle for myself. Seaweed myrtle and salt mixed together makes Salaria a great aquatic perfume. My bud considers this as more woody though, regardless this house just keeps making impressive perfumes
