L'Interdit Eau de Parfum

Estaba fragancia estaba entre mi lista de deseos ya que había visto demasiadas reseñas que hablaban sobre la elegancia y lo floral blanco de este perfume, ya que en lo particular amo las flores blancas aromáticas y aquí especialmente se destacan los nardos, primero debo decir que esta fragancia aunque es muy preciosa y muy rica no es para cualquiera puede llegar a ser abrumadora para las personas las cuales no toleran los nardos porque aquí se siente muchísimo el nardo un nardo súper rico súper natural pero elegante con presencia con un acorde sutil de vainilla que lo hacen un tanto dulce y embriagador y al mismo tiempo algo sofisticado, lo veo usándolo una mujer de 25 años en delante pero no cualquier mujer una mujer que le gusta destacar porque tiene muchísima presencia este perfume, cuando huelo este perfume pienso en un funeral de alguien muy importante donde hay mujeres muy elegantes que visten joyas de alto costo puedo visualizar la madera del féretro y las coronas de flores por doquier quizás por eso muchos hablen del olor a velorio que evoca este aroma pero no es un velorio cualquiera es el velorio de una reina de un rey de alguien importante donde hay lujo y personas millonarias. Amo esta fragancia y es una de mis favoritas. En mi piel solamente destaca la flor de nardo y la vainilla lo cual para mí ya es una mezcla riquísima no le siento las demás notas, siento que es un perfume que puede ser para una cita para ir a un evento formal para hacerte destacar algo serio no la veo para nada para el día a día no es tan versátil a pesar de tener una nota floral ahora que viene la primavera creo que no es buena idea este perfume aunque puede llegar a hacerlo si no hace bastante calor pero lo veo más como para climas no tan fríos pero sí donde hay un airecito sutil donde se siente una frescura del atardecer algo así.

So Ofcourse I bought it for my wife. This tuberose bomb is more than a fragrance — it’s confidence in bloom. Soft, floral, and hypnotic, yet strong enough to leave its mark. Men notice it,Ohhhh yes — but it’s meant to make you feel radiant, empowered, alive. I bought this one and Good Girl for my wife, and she trusted me — and now she has a small arsenal she loves. Even if it’s not her everyday choice, I notice when she wears this. It’s classic, it’s sensual, and it reminds me: confidence, elegance, and joy are always magnetic. I will tell you all the same thing I told my wife Ladies, wear what makes you happy. Spray it where it makes you feel confident, not where someone else wants it. Fragrance is your quiet armor, your personal magic. So, smell good. Not for me, not for anyone else — but for yourself. Because when you do, the world can’t help but notice. ❤️

I am not the target audience for such a fragrance. Heavy-set, dare I say 'bear-ish' man. But boy I love this fragrance. yes, Audrey Hepburn is my idol so of course I had to test some l'interdit. And I don't really buy in to scents being gendered, it's mostly just personal preferences. I will say, this is likely not the same formula from years gone by but either way. And actually, I think the EDT and EDP lean more on the cusp of unisex but that's my view. Similar to my review of the EDT, the run down is basically 'that's the stuff'. However, the EDP is much more aggressive, projection is higher and invites a much stronger jasmine note. Tuberose is the core but the jasmine, if you like that note, is delicious in the mix. It is stronger, as you'd hope, so might not be one for daily wear but killer for evenings, holidays etc. I found that @mhigdon below has a really accurate (to me) description of the scent - think the only thing I could add is that the wet note is a bit like wet dog which is similar to the EDT. I assure you not in a gross way, like a comforting way! In my books 9.5/10 - though it's not something I would wear every day, it is definitely one I would reach to for a night out, special occasions or just wanted to feel a bit more elegant.

My designer signature scent! If you love timeless, classic fragrances that are easy to reach and work for day or night this is the one. I work from home and wear it while working as well as for a night out. It’s a bit mature (I’m 43) so it’s not my go to for fun outings when I want to be a bit more playful but it’s such a beautiful fragrance that works for most occasions. It reminds me of the classy, older sister of Armani My Way that’s confident and put together. In my opinion the notes blend so well that the florals, fruity and woody notes melt into each other so there isn’t one that dominates. I’m not always a fan of heavily floral or woody fragrances so this one has impressed me in how well done it is. You can’t go wrong with any of the L ‘ Interdits but I recommend testing them all out on the skin because they’re each different. This may not be the most popular in the fragrance community and social media but it’s beloved by those that wear it and a frequent signature scent. I wear it often after having it a few months and have barely made any dent. A little goes a long way without being cloing. I wouldn’t recommend in the summer, it’s perfect for the colder weather and lasts for hours especially on clothes.

This fragrance has perfectly captured what everyone has been trying to do for the last 10 or so years. It's La Vie est Belle but earthier and classier. It's Elie Saab times a million. It's Jimmy Choo without the sickly. It's Black Orchid without the headache. I first smelt this on a colleague on a train and by the end of the journey I knew I had to have this fragrance. I couldn't wait to smell it again. It makes me happy in a way I can't use words to explain. I think it will be my signature for a long time. The projection and longevity are perfect. When people smell it I can see their eyes light up. I understand the negativity about this being a re-imagining of a classic. However, the girl in the store told me an emotional story. Three weeks before he sadly passed Givenchy himself was brought the fragrance. He was so enamoured with it and believed that the new scent perfectly represented the spirit of the fragrance that he has lent his personal signature to the inside of the box as a seal of approval. The last fragrance signed off by Givenchy himself, how special.

I have a couple of middle eastern dupes of this that are fabulous! So, I decided to purchase this to see if they are the same or better or different. Also, I really wanted to see if I preferred the original! Let me say, this fragrance is an absolute stunner! How I haven’t owned this before is lost on me! As a white floral lover, I should have snatched it up as soon as it was released. Had it not been for the middle eastern dupes, I would have never got my nose on this fabulous scent! I absolutely adore it! That said, the dupes are amazing as well! This is a bit pricier, but not horrible. The dupes are absolute bargains! So, no matter your preference, you will smell amazing! I find the middle eastern ones to have a bit better performance, but the original has a bit more refinement! Gorgeous scent profile! Thanks Givenchy for making this, and thank you to the perfumers who created this stunning fragrance! It is timeless and elegant, yet youthful and flirty! Yes, it is a bubblegum tuberose, and it is sooo good!

Oh wow , I can’t believe the dislikes here. Slowly I know when there are a lot of dislikes here that I more than likley LOOOVE it ! This fragrance is excellent ! It’s super long lasting , top notch quality and quite differnt , classy yet gourmand all at once. Ok you sort have have to like tuberose to like this one as it is definitely a tuberose centred perfume. Yes it is sweet but in a fresh ,refreshing way. Love the addition of cherries and ambroxan , such a creamy lovely fragrance. Longevity is through the roof here. Days on my clothes and bedsheets. Very impressive. It’s a classic ,modernized tuberose fragrance, done to perfection. Nothing but compliments, projects very well and is heavy creamy and classy. Bottle is also heavy and substantial, this is a winner !!! Agreed with review below me , Antonpan, finnaly something outstanding from Givenchy! Their perfumes are often good , almost all are very nice ,but this is excellent !

Since turning 40 I’ve really been looking for fragrances that reflect where I am in life. I don’t want to smell like a teenager or the party animal I was in my 20’s, neither do I want to smell like an old lady.. I’m not quite there yet! I want to smell like the confidence that I’ve gained with experience, I want to smell as assertive as I feel and as alluring... this is the most beautiful and sexy age. This perfume to me starts off earthy, grounded and has almost a celery (in a good way) fresh note to it that’s quite addictive and strangely intoxicating. I couldn’t stop smell it on my wrist when I first tried it. After it’s settled, it turns sweeter but still punchy. It’s complex and feminine, it’s “just got my nails done” and have a new handbag confident. I wear this daily and receive a lot of compliments, even after I can no longer smell it on myself.

The one and only perfum I keep repurchasing, I cannot get enough of it. It is so elegant, attractive, classy and mysterious, it literally elevates my mood the whole day when I am wearing it. I am pretty sure this is going to be the one I'll wear on my wedding day - originally I was out on the hunt for something 'special', I was sniffing all niche and designer fragrances as a maniac for weeks, and I came to the conclusion that for me nothing can beat this fragrance. I was considering Fleur Narcotique for the occasion, but this has so much more depth for me somehow. At the same time, interestingly L'Interdit is not an office fragrance for me - I feel way to attractive for work when I am wearing it, if you know what I mean. I like to keep this for date nights and special occasions - like my wedding.

I was soooooo hopeful that the pear would be a standout scent but it faded pretty quickly, might be a skin chemistry thing. Not quite as chewably thick as other ambroxan scents, and the jasmine and tuberose cool and almost wet? It feels like stepping under a pergola just absolutely *caked* in jasmine and tuberose after a cold front-driven rain. It smells like a hollow, green thing, rivercane snapped to collect water in the stem. It's chilly, it's wet, it's floral, and it's got a really respectable sillage. Hard to underspray, it's a bit like getting punched in the face by a very wet fist. Not necessarily in a bad way. Disagree with the strongly feminine bent most people read this as. It feels like the start of a really classic masc aftershave scent, just needs a couple spicy notes on top.

This scent is distinctive but inobtrusive and classy. The only notes I can truly recognize are the tuberose and the ambroxan. Ambroxan can be tricky because some people seem to be noseblind to it while others find it harsh; to me the ambroxan smells cold, dark and mysterious in this fragrance, musky with a hint of a spice I can't quite put my finger on. The tuberose and other floral notes (jasmine?) warm it up, but only slightly. The scent is not indolic at all and stays prim and lady-like. My only quibble is that the tuberose and top notes combine occasionally into something which resembles banana. This fragrance (sparingly applied) could be worn to the office, but is also sophisticated enough to wear to a formal evening event.

For a long time I was avoiding this perfume, based on reviews I read that stated it’s “sickly sweet” and I don’t like too much sweetness in perfumes. Ladies, never repeat my mistake! Always test on your own skin even if others’ opinions suggest that you might not like it. I tried it and fall in love! It screams “elegance” even though it is indeed sweet, but it’s not a candy or juvenile type of sweetness, it’s a beautiful mix of tuberose and orange blossom and their gorgeous duet gives such an effect. And I adore it! It’s well balanced and all notes are well blended. Instantly bought a full bottle and I’m happy that I can enjoy this beauty! 💖

I've first heard of L'interdit as a fan of Audrey Hepburn; then, as a fashion lover, I figured I couldn't have a better combination than Givenchy and Audrey— and I was correct! This is a strongly sweet and signature perfume. I would recommend it to those who are truly interested in sofiscated but classic smells, truly an elegant and classy style for a perfume. It's my signature one. If you're someone who dislikes too much creamy, strong or sweet scents, this might be a skip for you! But I'd always recommend you to try. Probably the most amazing perfume I've ever tried on, that's why it's my daily to go scent.

I think tuberose and I don’t get along. I love how this smells but I find it too heavy. I get a headache everytime I try to wear this and end up changing my clothes and putting something else on. I enjoyed it on the tester strip and stored it in my mind as a fragrance to buy if I found a good deal, well I always find a good deal so I bought it. Now I’m trying to gaslight myself into liking it. I’ll try again in the spring but right now it isn’t working for me. I’m quite sad about that because this baby is powerfully long lasting. It’s always the ones I’m not in love with that end up lasting

I have this and the Arab dupe fakhar rose. They are identical but i don’t know why when i love a perfume dupe so much i want the authentic bottle too. Makes no sense it’s just weird. So i have both and i love this scent! LOVE IT! At first I was off put bc i thought it smelled a bit masculine but it was the dupe that i got first and i let it sit for about a month and then is when the sweetness came about I like to layer this with my mon guierlain or the dupe (also have both of those lol) guess seductive noir The combo is to die for!! So many compliments at work by patients and coworkers!

I can't forget my first smell of it; it was a gift from a family friend's brother. As a child, I was captivated; there was something that drew me in (I later realized it was tuberose). Years later, I bought the perfume, and whenever I want to remember those days, I open the cap and smell it. Interestingly, some people around me say it has an Arabic feel to it, but it doesn't feel that way to me at all. Even though I've smelled so many flankers, the EDP version will always hold a special place in my heart. It's one of my favorite fragrances. Audrey, you know your stuff!

This is a 10/10, I always receive compliments when I wear this. I don’t get grape or artificial grape at all. On me, it reminds me of incense with pear, honey and a bit of cherry actually... Also, it performs like a beast. It’s simply amazing and I’m gonna buy a bottle of this and the intense version as soon as I empty some bottles 😍 I was a bit surprised by all the negative reviews here, but then again, this usually is the case for fragrances here that aren’t niche, discontinued or from the 1700’s...or if you’re simply not a fan of tuberose

I got my husband to get me this as a wedding fragrance- it smells divine and we both love it. However, it didn’t last over 2 hours past our wedding ceremony despite spraying about 8-10. I’m not new to this so I knew that with fragrances you must let it sit after opening it for a few months to get the full power and longevity. The tester I got lasted about a week and projected farrr which was why I requested it. I won’t give it a bad rating at all because as the days go by, it’s starting to stick, project, and bloom on my clothing. I LOVE IT.

L'interdit is one of my favorite perfumes; I have been using it for many years. It is a sweet, powerful tuberose and jasmine fragrance that lasts all day long. The dry-down is a bit fruity and bubble gummy and I get lots of jasmine. I think it is delicious! Wearing this perfume makes me feel like a mature wealthy woman who has her life together. It is definitely not for everyone, though, and if you don't like tuberose or jasmine, you will probably not like this perfume.

This perfume is one of the fragrances I would like to use for a lifetime. I normally do not like floral scents with warm chords / fruity; This perfume is really the only fruity / floral scent I can tolerate. This perfume reminds to me: A lady who is sincere and warm-hearted but very polite at the same time; like a Taurus Woman. The only thing I don't like about this perfume is the sweetness caused the pear; however this reason cannot shade the beauty of this perfume.

Finally, something really outstanding from Givenchy. Yeah, L'Interdit is fruity and sweet, but still I smell a tuberose here, and that tuberose is extremely beautiful. A neo-tuberose. Syrupy pears at the beginning or even strawberries, a cloying tipycal for nowadays sweetness in the development and an earthy, green, menthol-y tuberose in the dry down. A scent for everyone. I like it much better than another neo-tuberose, Hermes Twilly. Highly recommend!

I push her to the back of my collection--I have so many bottles that cost more, show more, say something more specific and unusual. But then, on a whim, after a shower, I see this bottle and spritz. It's heaven--classic, lovely, sweet and feminine. Tuberose and jasmine sing sweetly in the most classic essence--she reminds me I'm a woman, and my niche snobbery aside, that's important. Love this--always a spot in my collection.

Finally picked up the OG after purchasing Rouge and Absolu, this would be the most approachable of the three I reckon, but still a powerhouse and not for the faint of heart! Love this fragrance, to me this is confidence in a bottle, though probably shouldn't wear this to the office! Date night worthy, just a spray or two is all you need otherwise it will get a bit headache inducing. A solid 9/10 for me, I just love it!

It smells like Elie Saab Le Parfum, but less sparkling. After watching some reviews, I decided to get a sample. The dry down is tuberose, jasmine and vanilla. It has no musky dry down. I love perfumes without musky dry down so this is two thumbs up for me. It smells sophisticated and elegant. On my skin, Elie Saab Le Parfum is more floral and fresh, has more projection. I might get a full bottle of this. Rating: 10/10

Playful and gorgeous, cute yet sexy with a kiss of slutty! It feels like wearing an off shoulder sundress with pearl earrings and modest makeup, save a bright berry lip. You’re shy and have incredibly high standards, but you might kiss on the first date. I was skeptical on the hype, but after sampling it, oh I needed a 50ml immediately 😭 And I’m not a white floral gal, but this blew me away.

Oh wow.. what a classy business woman maneater would wear to work.. This starts off citrusy, fades quickly into this lucious, sexy, creamy, heavily and heavenly vanilla and tuberose blend. the jasmine isnt too strong but blends perfectly with the rest white florals. this is truly a very complicated long lasting masterpiece. the patchouli may make it heavy, but surely too good to ignore.

I love L’Interdit. I have most of the flankers but there is something so balanced and beautiful and the original. The tuberose is slightly burnt adding some sultriness. The vanilla is sweet and creamy. Maybe it is my skin, but the jasmine sambac is powerful here. It outshines the tuberose. For me, the EDT with the silver ribbon is about tuberose and the EDP is about the jasmine.

I wore this fragrance nonstop when I was a teen in high school. I just loved how feminine it smelled super strong and it stuck to my clothes and the air around me. I ended up wearing it so much I couldn’t really wear it again later, but honestly, every time I smell it now, so many good memories come flooding back. I still remember how much I loved it. :') <3

I'm kicking myself for not testing this earlier, I was holding back because of that patchouli note but MAN is this an absolute freaking hit! I want a full bottle immediately. There is this fizziness on top of the white florals that gives this such a refreshing vibe. The pear and the jasmine makes this smell so sweet, almost bubblegum-like. It's amazing.

This is one of my all time favourite perfumes. On me it's fresh and has that "sparkling" vibe to it yet is strong but not overpowering. On me, it lasts all day but doesn't beat you over the head like some of the other comments have said. Maybe tuberose is too strong on some and it ruins it for people. For me though? 10/10 and I'll buy it forever haha.

Opening is cheerful & sweet. Dry down is sexy and alluring. If Armani My Way is the flirtatious girl, L'Interdit is the grown sexy confident woman. I was visiting my collection and decided to wear her on this chilly February wknd. 4 Days later my sweater still has this addictive scent that has me more in love with every breath. 10/10 She’s a keeper.

This is the most complimented perfume I’ve ever worn. Every time someone asked what I was wearing and I told them it was Givenchy L’Interdit EDP, they ended up buying a bottle for themselves or for someone they love. And unlike many fragrances, I never go nose-blind to this one—I get little reminders of how gorgeous it smells all day long.

Pear and tuberose. Sweet (but not sickly) syrupy and smooth. Hints of jasmine and orange blossom. Classy and elegant. What makes this one stand out for me is the patchouli in the base, which adds a deeper, darker, almost resinous undertone that a lot of other white florals don’t have. A beautiful scent for winter. Lasts and projects well.

"The Forbidden". That's what "L'interdit" translates to. Nothing could be more apt. It has me feeling frisky at church; laughing loud and happy at a funeral; doing a viral dance at the Ball. Deceptively demure at face value, but this perfume is bad behaviour. I understand now the allure of the forbidden. We've been far too hard on Eve.

I haven't smelled many perfumes for women, but I have a sample of this, and as a man, I absolutely love it. I wouldn't wear it myself, but I would definitely gift this to a woman in my family. (Don't hate me for saying this, but it smells like a feminine, very fruity version of Initio Side Effect lol)

One of my favorite scents ever! It reminds me of grape-flavored artificial candy, but sexy and grown-up, not childish at all and I love it. The longevity isn’t the best for me, honestly, but I don’t mind. The original EDP is my favorite; the flankers are just meh.

The overall impression is that this is the daytime version of Rouge (or that Rouge is the nighttime expression of this). It's sweeter and lighter while retaining the collection's signature command. Rouge is like Stiffler's Mom while L'Interdit is like Michelle.

the tuberose is fantastic, it's so sweet! this made me realize what people were talking about when they say that tuberose smells like bubblegum or grapes. this is very much a young woman going for brunch in the summer with her friends, light and fun

This baby projects and lasts a long time on the skin. Wore this to work and received endless compliments from men. Amazing beautiful tuberose perfume heavy on the tuberose but I love that. Prepare to have a long lasting scent. Highly recommend.

A very sparkling bubbly opening that unveils a sweet yet elegant, modern tuberose with white flowers accords and some powdery facets. I find this version to be the most classy and the most effortless-chic out of the collection.

It's a scent I like very, very much. I smell mostly sweet pears and white flowers. It's a scent that I love, but its longevity and sillage are lighter than I would like and little bit lack of character. ( for me its moderate).

oh my god i am obsessed. Very sweet heavy delicious tuberose, very syrupy almost banana vibes, it smells like a gummy grape candy. i think if u smell someone wearing it it will smell more clean rather than sweet candy

Created in the 50s, Sophisticated classy and seductive.the fact its still around after 70 years ..truly timeless! Fruity and floral blend with a touch of vanilla. When I wear it I automatically feel more beautiful.

This is literally a perfection in the bottle I absolutely love it, so feminine, sexy and versatile. It's a little floral, fruity and fresh. I wish the lasting power was better though. Great for a signature scent.

I've wanted to own this scent for several years and finally made a purchase. Beautiful, wintery, sweet scent! Strong staying power, I like the fact that I can still smell it on me even after several hours.

As a tuberose lover this is perfect, a beautiful white flower bouquet, I miss wearing this. This feels very sophisticated and elegant so I understand why this used to be Audrey Hepburn’s signature scent.

It's not long lasting at all, it just always disappears and smells very light. Today I sprayed over 10 times to have it last all day long and then nothing after couple hours. Lovely scent tho.

This stuff smells like liquid crack. I cannot get enough of it and neither can my friends, my one friend kept staying next to me to just smell my perfume. 10/10. Very feminine sexy smell.

Smells like a really modern clothes shop. Like a shop where I know I can't afford anything but I go in just to look and then get made to feel unwelcome by the staff- in like a good way
