L'Interdit Eau de Toilette (2022)

I received a bottle of the original L'Interdit EDP from my brother for Christmas a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. For some reason I hadn't gotten around to properly sampling it or buying it for myself, but my brother - who has absolutely excellent taste in fragrance and always buys me scents that I love and that really suit me - obviously knew me better than I know myself, because it became an immediate favourite. Recently I was in Boots and they had this recent EDT version on sale for ~£45. It was both a 50ml bottle and a smaller sized purse spray in a gift box. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't really notice that it wasn't the EDP version. Only when I got home did I notice that the liquid was a different colour and then read the fine print, got it out and tried a spritz. It's definitely a similar fragrance to original EDP, but a lot lighter. I don't like it as much as the EDP but it works as a similar fragrance that I'll be able to wear in the summer months, whereas the original EDP felt too heady and heavy for the warmer weather. Rather than see it as a replacement for the EDP, I'm going to consider it as a nice alternative for the coming hot weather and enjoy it for what it is. It still has decent sillage and longevity and puts a smile on my face when I wear it. But I still love the original EDP a lot more.

For me this is the perfect version of L'Interdit and I am so glad to see it on Fragrantica. It is more musky which goes better with my skin. For me personally it is much more refined and less of a tuberose/patchouli bomb. The added musk in the EDT and the orange bigarade, make it more wearable for me. I still like the EDP, so I might get a small bottle for date nights, and I might also sell my big bottle. This new EDT could easily perform like an EDP. Longevity is great, beautiful smooth and creamy, sensual edt. What a wonderful addition. So happy to add this one to my collection. Addictive conifidence booster, sexy and mature.

Citruses, tuberose and patchouli blended perfectly! 💎💎💎 What a classy and boss-lady scent !! 👏 The quality of this edt is amazing. Good silage and longevity 👍 spray it sparingly, because this babe has a punch 😉 It has personality. It is strong, but not pushy. It is bitter-sweet but not too sweet. It is dry and elegant, like a high class white wine. Even if it may be way too heavy to be worn in summer, it is definitely a signature worthy scent. Love it ❤️ a slight headache (tuberose, the cruel beauty 😉) will not stop me from wearing this for elegant evenings in the colder months 😎

To my nose this is the original L'Interdit EDP but with that overwhelming grape soda note dialed back to where it's more manageable. I find that synthetic grape note a bit annoying in the EDP. This version really let's the white florals sing with orangey citrus notes. Very pretty and spring-like. This is genuinely an improvement over the EDP and the previous EDT. It's so lovely and quite professional smelling - I can picture a pretty, feminine woman in a corporate job smelling like this. Nice work Givenchy!

The 2025/2026 batch is so soft and elegant with only a hint of citrus. There’s a balanced combination of floral, musky and fresh notes that just melts into a sophisticated skin scent. I love the addictive musky candy dry down, which really distinguishes the EDT from the other flankers. The composition as a whole feels much like how a silk scarf touches the skin on a breezy spring day - soft, luxurious and delicate.

Sparkling, uplifting, sunny. It doesn't last long on skin, but leaves a beautiful trail on clothes. Just the right amount of Tuberose sweetness very well balanced by zesty orange blossom and rounded by calming musks. I'm a man and I love wearing this at home or to go out for a stroll, even the gym. I'm looking forward to being stopped by someone saying I smell girly.

I'm trying out a sample. Smells really good, there's something creamy about it. I do not have nor tried the previous EDT, however I own the EDP (don't know which version, but bought in 2019). To my nose this smells like a Gucci Bloom mixed with My Way, but lighter and creamier I like it a lot

A very clean, fresh floral musk with just a hint of citrus. its very likeable. This is a great easy reach fragrance. It's not overpowering, yet it feels pretty. This is my ideal 'fresh laundry' type scent.

A feminine, soft citrus-floral fragrance that leans very much into a skin scent. The opening has a sparkling mandarin note with a touch of bitter orange and bergamot, giving it a fresh, sunny, playful vibe. It transitions smoothly into creamy white florals—tuberose, orange blossom, and jasmine—that are soft, powdery, and delicate. The base is subtle, with musky, lightly woody undertones, but it fades quickly, leaving behind a barely-there floral warmth. Overall, it’s a safe, elegant, and understated scent—nice for work or casual daytime wear—but it lacks punch, depth, or memorable character, making it a little boring. For what it is, it’s pleasant, but it’s definitely a skin scent. 4.5/10

This is a lighter version of the original, combining gentle notes with more intense accents. The opening is softly citrusy, but before long a bouquet of white flowers takes centre stage, led by tuberose. The overall impression is feminine, subtly spicy and slightly daring. In the base, musk settles against the skin like a soft shawl, while woody notes lend the composition a sense of calm and elegance. Longevity and projection are very good for an eau de toilette, making it suitable for both daytime wear and evening occasions.

I was handed a piece of scented fabric by a clerk, she told me it was the new eau de toilette. I smelt it and I thought it was one of the best scents I'd ever put my nose on. I agreed to try it on my skin, hoping desperately it would work. Well, it smells of pear on my skin. Damn, I really hate myself sometimes. I'm not sure I would buy it just to spray it on my clothes, but I recommend this perfume to all those who don't have a stupid acid skin like mine. This fragrance is so uplifting and good.

Bitter orange and mandarin out of sync in the opening followed by white florals- orange blossom and tuberose, and then there's the sandalwood in the dry down. This is a woody white floral. It does become quite animalic in the dry down, but that only adds to the experience of the fragrance. I like it, but certainly not enough to buy a full bottle. Four hours later, and the more I sniff it, gosh, the more I love it. The orange blossom note is definitely the star of the show.

Creamy but sharp at the same time. Very strong bitter orange but in an almost gourmand way. Dry down is a sexy, pleasant musky and white floral. Really pretty scent; great for every day wear. A crowd pleaser and a safe blind buy if you like this profile.

It's good, just depends on what you're looking for. For me the EDP isn't suffocating even in warmer weather, so in my case a lighter EDT version is unnecessary. But if you feel that the EDP might choke you out then the EDT is the perfect solution.

A neat day to day fragrance. Pretty neutral to me, very diplomatic. A good choice for a gift. It’s not a fragrance you’ll remember but that’s not the point here.

I found an old sample in the bottom drawer of my desk and instead of throwing it out right away I spritzed some on paper, 0,5-1ml I imagine. First let me state that due to the paper strip being left on the desk, that corner of the room smelled of the perfume for almost 2 days afterwards which is very impressive to get from so little juice, although I've always known L'Interdits to be spillage monsters. As for the scent itself, I'm really surprised I like it since I've hated the original new (not Audrey's) L'Interdit and every flanker they ever put out. But what I have in the sample is really, really good, even though the pyramid is quite simple on paper and even more so in reality. But here lies pure unadulterated tuberose, bold and loud and beautiful. It has all the nuances of tuberose in perfumery, and all in moderation. Sweet, animalic, green, bitter, heady, rubbery white floral which all by its lonesome is somehow richer than a bouquet consisting of gardenias, lilies, jasmine and ylang-ylangs would be. It is not a bouquet, it is the whole garden. I'd even go as far as saying it reminds me of some Gucci Blooms, even surpassing them t (I suppose I might be the only one with this viewpoint.) The citruses are strong in the beginning but it fortunately doesn't last long, allowing the beauty of tuberose to come through faster. But it kind of loses me 5+ hours in when the tuberose begins to fade away and what's left is that basic, cheap, overused woody musky base. I came for the tuberose alone, and as nice as it is, the final stage happens to be a complete disappointment. Apart from that, the EDT is very solid from the perspective of someone who used to hate it with a passion. I don't find it mature, bossy or office-friendly now. It smells quite carnal actually. The kind of scent I would imagine on Zsa Zsa Gabor or her sisters. If nothing changes in my perception, it is bound to remain one of the best tuberose scents I've ever sampled, in fact I think I don't even dislike tuberose anymore, not when it can smell like this. I would certainly recommend it over the EDP if just for the pyramid alone. For any tuberose/white floral lovers it is worth consideration.

Just my luck receiving a sample of a fragrance I hated as EDP, from two of my least favorite perfumers no less, with another purchase :D I'm always thankful for new olfactory experiences however and gave this EDT a try. It's not as bad as EDP, notably not so in-your-face and less vulgar but I just grabbed the tester card on the wrong end and I need to wash it off my fingers ASAP. Just like EDP it's a... patchoulibomb: sharp, earthy, heavy and mature. Patchouli comes through right away and despite EDTs allegedly being a gentler version, there's no getting away from it. Headache-inducing orange blossom at the heart accompanies patchouli but in EDT it's almost as if there is more harmony between the notes and they don't all scream at you trying to overpower each other, creating nightmare-ish cacophony. I could almost call it interesting in its own way if it wasn't for that one note - patchouli as per usual - stomping on all other notes, kind of like corrupting them, even. Bitter top notes and animalic middle notes atop a dirty musky base. Much like with EDP, citrus overload doesn't help the situation at all, this fragrance in fact would have benefited from sweeter top notes because otherwise it smells masculine, almost like a cologne, pretty much in the usual style of Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. If you're into that style go for it. For me it's EDT > EDT 2022 > EDP with EDTs being considerably more bearable, but although my mind wants to figure it out better (*here* is the real fragrance addiction), my nose makes me pull away from the tester card whenever it detects the scent. Givenchy needs to stop with all these L'Interdit releases though, the first EDT was enough, this one definitely can't outshine it. Just make "collector bottles" which is what other houses do when they want to sell the same juice over and over.

This isn't as good as the original eau de toilette from 2019 to my nose. It's very similar to it yes, but it's much stronger and more citrusy to my nose. It's still mostly a white floral scent though, with tuberose being the most prominent. I also get a good amount of the orange blossom and small whiffs of the jasmine. The base is definitely mostly all about the patchouli and vetiver. The projection and longevity of this fragrance are average and it is a fairly safe fragrance to wear at the office, the hospital or the gym. It's a bit boring, too. There's nothing particularly unique about this fragrance at all. I really wish that they did not reformulate this perfume. What's not broken doesn't need fixing! I'd give this a 6/10, whereas the original L'interdit Eau de Toilette is an 8/10 to me and was a lovely white floral perfume with a tuberose heart with a slight conchord grape tinge to it.

Generic citrusy, musky candy with a bit of a floral overlay. A bit chalky, something like Smarties candy. The citrus compounds with more sprays. Smells like a nice, inoffensive fabric softener that you go nose-blind to almost immediately since it's nothing special but nothing notably bad either. There is an unintentional hot dust/fabric accord that is probably the most interesting this about this, but I had to really analyze the fragrance to find it. Poor longevity on me, using a branded sample vial. Nothing remarkable. 5/10.

i'd not say it is ugly or unpleasant, however; for me it is quite different from the edp version, which i love. after the edp, edt version feels like a bit of disappointment. i cannot put my finger on what it is that causes my annoyance with this one, yet, when it dries down on my skin or clothes, i get this lingering smell that i wish was absent. it must be something in the base notes, but i have no idea what it is.

As a fan of former version, I have to say I am dissapointed. Does not project or lasts anymore, the smell is not sparkling. First I get orange, then flowers take place and that is where it gets similar (not equal) to the other. Then It settles into a powdery bouquet. It is not bad. I am happy I got a good deal for it, but I wish It hadn't lost the sparks and freshness of the other one.

Underwhelming. I didn't hate it, but it does nothing for me. Just an okay scent for me.

EDIT: I miss this liquid so SO MUCH and so often. It started something for me. I will buy it sooner or later. It is so much better than the perfume interdits, and so much more interesting! It really awakened something in me, a hole that few things can fill, an itch that is hard to scratch. The powdery drydown in here is an absolute masterpiece. Kinda territorial. Smells I get: hint of orange, powder, orange blossom, soapy accord, tuberose Meyer's Briggs type: older ESTJ, ESTP A soapy orange blossom & coffee tuberose bomb. Reminds me of my cousin, who is a wonderful doctor but an absolute Karen at the store. A bit mature for my taste as I'd associate it with a 40yo or a 60yo rich lady that I had a nice talk with at the optometrist's. The powdery intro with orange blossom hints at a relatively non-offensive tuberose mixed with some minimal, clean patchouli and some sweetish woody elements. Projects quite decently for an EDT. Has something in common in style with TF Black Orchid, but I can't quite place it. This is less challenging, though. Gently sweet, kinda sexy, mostly easy to love if you're someone who isn't me. I love the smell, but personally I find it a bit annoying. Smells like expensive makeup left next to a white floral bouqet. I feel like it might grow on me.

Fresher and with a juicier citrus start than the EDP version, more wearable for summer, less sweet, although very similar to it. The tuberose continues to be the main protagonist of this fragrance, although the ambroxan is not present, which will be fantastic for many noses. I liked it a lot but, being lighter and having less projection, it makes me miss the original perfume, whose forcefulness I personally love. It has a moderate projection and it lasts on my skin for about 7-8 hours, pretty good for an EDT. I think it might be a good option for those people who found L'Interdit EDP too heavy, but for lovers of the EDP version it is probably unnecessary. Sniff impression: Ooo this one is Nice on first sniff, just like, powdery, light floral with a touch of musk the way I like it! Can't wait to try Review: Okay so it is much much sweeter on initial application....looking at the notes that must be the tuberose, which is a scent I do often find too cloying and sweet....I wonder that as the day goes it will die down to that original sniff impression? I still have the musk showing up in tandem with the sweetness so fingers crossed after a long day of wear I can say the sweetness does die down but so does the scent itself? I do have tendency to go noseblind but this did seem to fade very fast even for my senses. I did like the direction it took after a few hours though; I'll have to test again before I decide to buy

This was a blind buy for me. In all the 40+ different kinds of fragrance that I have, this is my very favourite. It is the most mature fragrance that I now have. I simply adore this. Even for an EDT, the lasting power is of about 10 to 12 hours on me without being only a "skin scent". I'll repurchase tons of times again; this is certain.

@luka123 why you are not calm? If you don’t like the fact that they bring a new flanker tell it to them. Not on internet. Maybe this new flanker will make people happy and maybe it will be their new signature scent that they searched for years. I hate perfume snobs

More citrusy and musky than previous version I find it brighter and less sweet but still floral it is not so different from OG EDT,also it seems to last a little less I guess this new version is overall clean and fresh compare to older version which is sweeter

This is a strong fragrance, although its name says that it is an Eau de Toilette. On my skin it smells quite similar to L ́Interdit Rouge UItime. Definitely something that would Audrey Hepburn wear. Such an elegant and chic scent. Day- time.

Nowadays, the perfume house of Givenchy respects Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy much more because L'Interdit Eau de Toilette (2022) reflects some beauties of Audrey Hepburn such as her class, polish, simplicity, and elegance !

For me this is perfection!!! It goes welll with my chemistry and I am buying it FOR SURE!!! It is not as heavy as the other which for me was too intense and last eternally on me! LOVE LOVE LOVE it smell fresh but creamy and smooth

Bubblegum my tuberose. Strong and addictive! I have some distinct memories with this so I don’t wear it often lately to try to preserve those memories but this is a gorgeous fragrance! Distinctive and sexy

Who asked for this? Who needs an edt in the fall? I still think the intense version is the best L’Interdit hands down. I don’t want a more watered down version of L’interdit. Sorry, not sorry.

To me this is nothing special it is more citrusy and lighter than the previous edition and yes it is pretty ,but not enough for me to buy,I feel it adds nothing to the line

The 2019 EDT was perfection in botte why replace it? Why the need to discontinue it? Why not simply release this one as a seperate flanker?!!
