Silver Minerale

As a sucker for mineral and metallic fragrances, Silver Minerale came to my attention. It is often described as a mix of Ganymede and Megamare. Both are two of favorite scents and so I didn't hesitate for long to get Silver Minerale as a blind buy (yes I know, I know). Fortunately, I was not disappointed. First things first: even though Silver Minerale has similarities to Ganymede and Megamare, I think it still stands out enough to not be a mere clone, but to be convincing in its own right. The fragrance starts off with a very green fresh and pleasant mandarin. I have a hard time with citrus fragrances, as I personally often find them very pungent. Here, however, the note is relatively soft in my opinion. At the same time, the mandarin is accompanied by the typical mineral scent that we know from Ganymede or Super Nova. Synthetic, of course, but perfect for people like me who like it. Especially in combination with the natural green mandarin note, a relatively unique fragrance is created here (although it has to be said that I haven't tried that many citrus fragrances and some people may already know the fragrance combination). This cool, greenish-silvery kick lasts around 30 minutes and leaves a strong scent trail before the mineral and metallic notes take over. A slightly aquatic note lingers in the background from the very beginning, which is not special in itself, but adds a touch of freshness to both the top and heart notes. This is where the similarities to Ganymede become more recognizable. However, the two fragrances differ in the regard that Ganymede is somewhat warmer and sweetly spicier, while Silver Minerale is kind of sterile (in a positive sense). The sligthly above arm-length sized silver bubble lasts for about 3-4 hours before we finally get to the base note, which to my nose is dominated by ambergris. At this point, the similarity to Megamare with its salty and soft scent in the drydown becomes apparent. The metallic and mineral notes are still very gently perceptible in the background. It's like covering yourself with a futuristic silver blanket that melts into your skin after around 10 hours and is only perceptible there. We have now reached the end of our journey as a silver surfer through the galactic sea. At €150 for 50ml, this is an acceptable price for this trip. For me, Silver Minerale was a successful blind buy. People who love Ganymede and Megamare will get their money's worth with this fragrance. Due to the fresh green mandarin note, Silver Minerale is not a simple fusion between the two, but stands on its own. For me personally, the performance is somewhat weaker than the other two fragrances, but still good enough. However, I have to say that I go nose-blind very quickly with mineral fragrances. I stopped smelling Silver Minerale after just 1-2 hours, while sometimes people behind a counter can still smell it. Overall, I recommend buying it, especially for lovers of futuristic, cool fragrances. Fragrance: 8.5/10 Performance: ~10h Sillage: 8/10 Flacon: 8/10

Disappointed by this one. I am a fan of Ganymede of course and Supernova by the same perfumer, but this is a mixed bag. Opens similarly to Ganymede, but dries down to a synthetic mandarin juice concentrate with a mineral aspect to it. After a few hours becomes a mess of spices and orange drink concentrate. It’s almost like they had a good idea in mind, but the execution was cut short.

The opening is offsetting for me, a lot of green mandarin mixed with minerals which give this weird funky shower gel vibe, but when it dries down it is much better. It’s metallic and mineral with some salty ambergris and this aquatic/marine scents. It’s very good. Solid value for money and very good performance.

Aromatically good, strong punch of green citrus and marine almost salty metallics all throughout. Honestly reminds me a bit of Cancun at night, I dig this a lot!

I just had to drop in and sing the praises of Gleam Silver Minerale’s insane staying power. I spritzed one spray on the back of my hand at 7 p.m. yesterday because I had forgotten what it smelled like. I wasn’t intending to actually wear it. Twenty-one hours later, it’s still hanging on like it has a personal vendetta against fading. This stuff survived an overnight work shift, multiple hand-washings, a shower, and two rounds of handwashing dishes. I even threw another perfume on top to see if it could steal the show. Nope. That one ghosted me, but Silver Minerale stuck around like a stage-five clinger. It’s still projecting strong and shows zero interest in ever leaving. I’ve never had a fragrance stick to me for more than a few short hours before. Confused, impressed, and mildly concerned, this perfume might be the most committed thing in my life right now.

This is a very good perfume, but it feels a bit too similar to ganymede and megamare for my liking. The opening is easily the best part, as the combination of the salty mineral aspects work perfectly with the crisp mandarin orange note, which creates something truly special. Unfortunately, generic ambergris drives the dry down, which really made me wish I was wearing megamare instead. Good longevity and projection, I got about ten hours on skin and could smell it in the air around me for about three. Overall a solid release, just doesn't do enough to separate itself from other perfumes in the "futuristic" genre.

This smells like megamare combined with ganymede. Mandarin note feels kind of strange in this perfume, but overall it’s a nice fragrance. Longevity could be better, I’d recommend getting a full bottle of megamare first, before buying this.

Bought a tester to see how it is since I have never tried this ingredient combo and was pretty interested in how it will turn out. To me it smells like a cheap mineral hair spray or something along that nature, sth you use to make your hair stick together. Stays linear throughout and leans a bit feminine (hairspray association), I only get mineral and metallic notes.

Nie wiem, jak pozostałym, ale mi się kojarzy z dentystą, pierwszy " niuch" i od razu czuję jakiś ślinotok, jakby zaraz czekało mnie borowanie. Kiedy przewiduje się późny powrót do domu ciemną, opuszczoną uliczką najlepiej spsikać się nim w miejscach intymnych- gwarancja, że nikt cię nie zgwałci. Jeszcze jedna refleksja po jakmiś czasie; im dłużej się utrzymuje i nie przytykasz nosa, tylko z daleka poczujesz niesamowitą głębię - nie czuć metalicznego smaku. Może dobrze by służył jako " podkład pod jakieś inne słodkie perfumy. ;-), które pozbawione są tej właśnie głębi. :-)

I received a sample in a mystery box. This sounds absolutely awful. Not one Marc Antione Barrois product is wearable and Megamare, while I love the idea, is unwearable. On my shelf this sits, in perpetuity.
