Le Jasmin

This is so, so, so pretty. I love white florals so this is pretty much a shoo-in for me. Except it isn't. It is not *just* a shoo-in. I really love Le Jasmin beyond it just being a white floral. It's very delicate and the jasmine is heavenly, yet the ginger adds a little bit of zing and pop. I might be a little crazy but for a few minutes there, I thought I could smell honeysuckles too. It's similar to Le Chevrefeuille, although more delicate and less green. I'll have to try a side by side to be sure I am remembering correctly. Either way, I cannot get enough of AGs and this is no different. I say I am not a signature scent kind of person but if I were I would choose an AG. Only problem is longevity. I see people complain of this a lot and so far those I have tested have lasted a 2-4 hours. This one, barely an hour. Of course I'm using a sample vial wand, so I assume a full spray would be better. Hopefully. I'll have to use a little more next time.

This is so lovely. It captures jasmine's freshness and natural sweetness without adding much spice (Jasmin Rouge) or musk ( A La Nuit). The scent is cool, clean, and transparent, reminding me of a morning garden with fresh jasmine blossoms. Compared to the so called gold standard of jasmine - A La Nuit, it is cooler, less animalic, with a hint of pear (although not listed). I love Le Jasmin. The only shortcoming of this fragrance is its short longevity. Unfortunately Le Jasmin has been discontinued. I suspect it is due to IFRA's new restriction of jasmin absolute. Annick Goutal fragrances usually contain higher percentage of natural ingredients and must be affected more than many other brands. Update: the above review is for the EDT. I recently bought the EDP. compared to the EDT, the EDP is warmer and slightly spicier, maybe due to the stronger ginger note. The silage and projection of the EDP is only marginally better.

As someone who isn't usually big on floral perfumes, I wasn't expecting to love this fragrance...but I do! Le Jasmin is a gorgeous jasmine-magnolia fragrance. It's dewy and very natural. Creamy, lush jasmine petals and sweet, delicate magnolia blossoms. It's also crisp, fresh and a little green. I love the zesty, juicy ginger that adds a little spiciness to the mix. I don't get anything citrusy from this as some reviewers have. For me it brings to mind that blissful feeling of going outside at dawn in springtime and inhaling the scent of new blossoms, fresh dew, and crisp morning air. I tested the EDT, and I have to admit I wish the lasting power was a little better. I may try the EDP to see how it compares. In any case, this is a beautiful, light and fresh jasmine fragrance.

Simple, yet interesting and dynamic. There's the beauty of the jasmine, the zing of the ginger (think fizzy ginger ale) and the magnolia adds just the right amount of additional floral freshness to make this a winner! There's also a touch of sweetness that makes it remind me a tiny bit of the old B&BW scent "brown sugar fig". I've only just applied it, so I can't yet speak to longevity, but the silage is mild, so it would make a good work/public place daytime fragrance. As I type this review, I've smelled my wrists no fewer than 10x ... I love Le Jasmin!!

missk hit this spot on the head--this is a fizzy jasmine. I don't know how AG did it, but spraying this on is like popping a champagne bottle--it's effervescent and tickles your nose. The jasmine is beautiful here w/o the slightly rotten smell other jasmine scents have (Serge Lutens Sarrassins). This isn't a dirty jasmine, it's bright and playful, perfect for a sunny spring day!
