Tropical fruit, but for the grown and sexy. Rialto smells expensive, high quality, well blended and niche- an evening head turner! Correct Notes (Per Gritti): HEAD: Bergamot, Saffron, Mango HEART: Taïf rose, Iris, Tropical fruits BASE: Amber, Oud, White musk This opens very sweet, fresh and fruity. To me, the saffron comes out with the florals in the mid and really brings sophistication and intrigue. I don’t find this to be powdery on my skin and I can easily wear it in the heat of summer. The oud and saffron together give me the impression of soft worn-in leather. The musk maintains a clean feeling. There is a *slight* animalic nuance between the oud and musk, like warm skin, that gives Rialto a super sultry date night edge.

Bought the fragrance (I’m a man) after sampling, beautiful stuff. I can smell the fruitiness from the mango, the saffron, and the rose on the opening, dries down to a light oud and slightly musky scent. It’s definitely unique and a great tropical oud scent.. I live in Indonesia where the weather is hot all the time and I wore it in the afternoon or evening with no problem at all. Pros: - Unique tropical smooth oud scent - Has a mass appeal factor - Great longevity - Smells expensive & classy Cons - Can be too sweet if oversprayed - High retail price point - Oud is pretty light Overall, beautifully done by Gritti.

Love at first sniff. This was a blind buy for me so I can't yet soak to performance. This smells like xerjoff more than words and even more like Montale Craxy in love. This has a candy like sweetness that I'm falling in love with without being too sweet. Gives off a middle eastern vibe, the oud is light and wearable. If you like scents like Rose's Musk, More than words and Crazy in love you'll enjoy this!! Can't wait to see how it wears!

This is powerful. I oversprayed, and that was a mistake as it irritated my nose. I noticed then that there was a ton of sharp musk (think Erba Pura type musk) and oud which made it lean masculine to me. A max of 2 sprays will do. With that said, this is one of the best things I ever smelled as long as I use it lightly. The mango, oud, & saffron mix together perfectly. The air holds on to this.

The cypriol oil in this is too prominent to my nose and causes me not to reach for it often. Layered this with Ambre Superfluide by Les Eaux Primordiales today and it was magical! It toned down the cypriol oil dramatically but I'm still getting that mango-y oud but in a much warmer way.

Not sure why this site is noting the Oud and the floral scent as the primary focus....the mango really stay's noticeable throughout. I compared this to my Mango Skin, and interestingly they have a pretty different composition in ingredients, but they are very similar with that mango being a top note. Mango Skin is more fresh fruit, piercing to the nose, while Rialto's mango is fresh, but blurred with the floral and the oud, in turn softening the intensity of the mango. Still when both are freshly sprayed they are very similar. Also, I am not a fan of a loud Oud presence, and this is a fragrance I actually like it in. It's in the back ground and not overwhelming the rest of the ingredients like some Oud fragrances do. For instance, Satin Mood from MFK is a fan favorite, but for me the Oud is so prominent that it becomes overbearing. Rialto however has a very nice balance of the ingredients. So far for longevity, I sprayed it on paper last night and by the morning it had faded, but I could still smell it. I currently am wearing it on my wrists, and from being at work and using a mouse pad and typing, the smell has faded a bit. Though on the wrist that wasn't hitting the mouse pad it is still pretty strong. Definitely a scent that should be sprayed on clothes along with skin for longevity and projection. Overall I really do like this scent and will be purchasing it to add to my collection.

Interesting, this is pretty much a mix between Erba Pura and Oud For Greatness. Clean, woody, slightly sour oud, ethyl-maltol induced cotton candy saffron, warm, syrupy mango juice, and heavy white musks. It's a love it or hate it fragrance, if you like the aforementioned scents you'll LOVE this, this is a very over the top, colorful, exciting gourmand that some people will find addictive and intoxicating, and others may find revolting. Nothing groundbreaking, it loses most of its the complexity during the drydown, but it's worth checking out if you're looking for a youthful, happy go lucky party scent that sets itself apart from the vanilla crowd.

RIALTO ANNONE Do you know the story of Rialto, Venice's most famous bridge? In 1514 the King of Portugal, Manuel I, gave Pope Leo X a white elephant by the name of Annone. The pope fell in love with the beast and saw he had a gentle soul – so he signed him up for ballet lessons. Annone's dream was to become a famous dancer, you see! But sadly, two years later Annone died. Angina pectoris, the doctors said. Or maybe it was those gold-laced laxatives they gave him for his indigestion? Who's to know! Pope Leo was very sad, because he loved Annone. He prayed to God for the elephant's immortal soul. God promptly answered his prayers (after all, Leo was the pope) and turned Annone's soul into perfume (which you can still buy today) and his body into stone. The now-petrified corpse was placed in Saint Peter's Square, right next to the obelisk; observed from the proper angle, it seemed like Annone was carrying the obelisk on his back. Then five years later Pope Leo died. His successor had no use for a stone elephant and wanted to get rid of it ASAP, so in 1523 he passed him on to Andrea Gritti, the new Doge of Venice, as a coronation present (as you do with a white elephant). The doge, being a clever fellow, put the elephant in the Grand Canal to be used as a bridge after the previous one had collapsed. And that is how the Rialto bridge came to be. As a side note, there is actually a town near Venice called Annone! If Luca Gritti was half as clever as he thinks he is, he'd name the fragrance Annone and spin us some tall tale about the place. But he isn't. Therefore, he named the fragrance Rialto and we now have to make up our own stories of how the pope's favourite elephant became a bridge in Venice.

I bought Rialto after reading many glowing reviews and because I found it at an excellent price. Based on the note breakdown, I expected an overripe, juicy mango supported by saffron and a touch of oud. Unfortunately, that’s not what my nose gets. From the opening, rose is by far the dominant note, with only a hint of oud in the background. The mango is very difficult for me to detect. As it dries down, the fragrance becomes increasingly powdery, making the rose even more prominent. I can understand why some people describe it as masculine or masculine-leaning, but on my skin I don’t get that impression. The rose-powder combination pushes it toward a more feminine direction for my taste, even though it’s clearly a high-quality composition. Performance is still something I’m evaluating. Some reviewers call it a beast, but on my skin it doesn’t feel particularly loud, so I’ll need to test it more before judging its longevity and projection. Overall, it’s a beautifully blended fragrance, just not the mango-and-saffron experience I was hoping for. If you’re buying Rialto expecting an intense tropical mango, I recommend testing it first because your perception may be very different from the note pyramid.

Opens with saffron, makes it pretty close to BK540, but quickly becomes sweeter and a litter fresher. I can distinguish all the notes listed. Generally, considering the prices and the (let’s be honest) not so great deviations from each other when it comes to this hyped Middle East inspired niche, fragrances from proper middle eastern brands make way more sense when it comes to oud-based things in terms of quality and price.

This smells different from what to expect from the pyramid notes Only what I get is (( Fresh citrusy taif rose with tropical fruity touch )) Every thing is felt distant and hard to detect except for the rose which is very prominent and honestly speaking the rose smells very natural and of good quality To me it lacks depth and felt as if it was missing something to complete especially for its base It seams to be linear perfume so ((Don’t expect a twist or multiple faces of this one with time as it dry down )) Comparing this one to Baccarat or oud of greatness is a joke nothing in this one reminds me of both . It may be the safran sweetness make people think of Baccarat , but the overall scent is far away and the line of this one is completely different from both It’s freshy rose with citrusy and very smooth fruity sweetness with some hint of safran spicy floral sweetness which add some depth to the rose . The performance is in average or below Score 4 out of 10

Rialto smells like the type of oud-rose that is all rose, like Parisian, Astaral, Amber Aoud etc. However, Rialto brings uniqueness by an added mango note - so the scent is mostly rose & mango. The accords at the top are BEYOND off. This is a fresh-floral scent with very moderate sweetness, and some creamy edges to the point where it begins to smell soapy. I'd say narrow feminine lean for spring-fall seasons, works for both day and night. Performance is okay (I'd say around 8 hours, sillage moderate-to-strong). Does it smell like God of Fire? Not exactly, since Rialto isn't as sweet/sugared and is more fresh, but it's a whole lot closer to God of Fire than it is to OFG/BR540. Those comparisons (to Baccarat and Oud for Greatness) on this are somewhat embarrassing - I can't separate a single warm spicy note, and the oud/cypriol in this is basically invisible.

Gritti definitely took inspiration from Pantheon Roma - Annone. I had Annone and I agree to those who see the resemblance to this scent. If you like that perfume, you will definitely enjoy this one. Strong, sharp oud with tropical fruits. It kind of feels very synthetic but don't get me wrong, it's not bad the perfume is still good if you like that kind of profile. It has this illuminating kind of sharp white musk not that makes this perfume absolute longevity and sillage monster. I think this is easily mass appealing and attention-grabbing. I got a lot of attention wearing Annone to parties and I doubt that this could be any different. It just has this flirty, sexy appealing scent that so many people seem to love.

A lot of comments here, are very unrealistic, coming from people who never actually smelled the fragance. Rialto is not sweet, the mango notes are not at the top of the perfume, the prominent notes here are powdery rose and Oud, and there seems to be some hints of leather on this perfume. There is nothing special about this perfume, Décimo is better, this fragance is a deception for me, I don't recommend, there are better niche perfumes for 335 Euros, perfumes like encelade, oud cadenza and afgano Puro. I was expecting something better from this, very basic creativity from the house, lacks the depth for a 335€, and coming from an Italian house, is unacceptable.

This is velvety smooth. Not a single harsh note...the Rose, Saffron and Mango are the most intense notes, the iris and musk are more present in the drydown, the cypriol and oud are very soft and in the background. It feels elegant and sexy at the same time. It has a very light sweetness from the fruity and floral notes. I would love to smell this on a handsome man...but I think I will buy it for myself... So well done! Love this little gem.

Stunning fragrance. Oud and saffron lands immediately then the mango and citrus kicks in giving it a slightly salty edge. It reminded me of a salty pretzel..not a bad thing to me...it's a food group! ;) Lasted over 8 hours with an elegant oud'y, Iris musk. Very sophisticated. It's a seductive night out..love.

This is beyond good. This combo is going to shine on a summer night but the oud makes it wearable in the cool weather as well. So happy with this fragrance purchase. Top tier!

Really disliked the opening of this and that killed it. Sticky sweet mango and overpowering rose. Eek.

Layered this with Queen of Silk and couldn’t keep the men away! This is so sexy.
