Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori

I didn't care for the OG Bloom at all. I was actually quite disappointed with it - too soft, simple, not enough tuberose, too much basic lily, and that rangoon creeper note is off putting. I was ready to write off the whole line. Then I saw some mini travel atomizers of this and the Ambrosia flankers for cheap, and impulsively ordered. I spritzed one spray of each on each wrist to compare. Immediately I knew I liked this flanker the best. I am a summery/tropical frag junkie, so when I reviewed the notes it all made sense. I wasn't immediately sold however. For the first 30 min after spraying this, I get a bit of a bug spray note. I realized this is the jasmine and possibly the wood notes combined. I worried this would only read as bug spray on me, but luckily after about 30 min it dries down to a simple, clean, almost soapy tropical flower scent. Reminds me of a fancy scented soap, but luckily the flower notes shine through harder than the soapy notes. Bloom Profumo is surprisingly long lasting with impressive silage for such a soft scent. It will fade, but last well enough overnight that you will still pick it up on your skin/hair/clothes the next morning if you spray before bed. It will last on clothing and hair even longer. It also layers well with other summery tropical frags. I enjoy wearing this after an evening shower, when I want to clean my body & senses. Recently I wore this one evening, then the next day I wore Malibu Party in the Bay which is a Creed Virgin Island Water dupe. I went to the beach. I sweated a bunch. I changed my clothes. The Malibu scent is STRONG and long lasting, yet I consistently throughout the day got a lovely blend of the coconut lime scent of Malibu, with summery florals and tuberose of Bloom profumo. Somehow, wearing these frags one after another made the tuberose in Bloom Profumo stand out much stronger than I could detect before. My spouse also compliments me on Bloom Profumo every time I wear it - and he only compliments one out of every 7 or so different frags I wear. I have a large collection, rotate often. Theres something lovely and special about this flanker, even with the bug spray opening. It really works well with a lot of other scents and somehow makes individual notes on this and other scents seem more clear, distinct, enjoyable. I ended up buying a FB of this, and then two more backups because I find myself reaching for this more and more. It seems like a soft scent that doesn’t have a ton of power, but it will even last through a sweaty workout in the summer heat. I started using it as a go-to whenever I want clean and fresh summery floral solar type scents. I also found it pairs nice with Lady Million Fabulous, though that is a richer more traditional perfume version of this, so they pair well for a day to night transition.

I love both this and the Ambrosia version in the red bottle. Mustard and Ketchup. Ha ha. Pre Brexit (I voted against it) back when Yves Rocher were kind and courteous enough to grace us with the ability to give our money to them, they used to sell an "Ylang - Ylang" shower gel that I used religiously. It dried out my skin some, sadly, but the smell was incredibly good, I was downright upside topsy-turvy obsessed. It was glooooorious. I even went so far as to post a thread on the fragrantica.com forum (a rarity for me) requesting that people might recommend me Ylang based scents, in the hopes of finding something similar. But nothing met the criteria, not until I found this. This, for me, is basically a honeyed, sunlit Ylang - Ylang on a somewhat, relatively (for this time) common musky, woody base. Everything present in the top and middle here seems to exist solely to highlight that glorious Ylang. I believe the base to be pretty similar in all of the Blooms, but having only tried three of them I can't say for sure. The yellow dries down muskier than the red. The red is woodier. But the differences are rather slight. This perfume is that gorgeous Yves Rocher Ylang - Ylang shower gel in perfume form. Just like I wanted all those years ago. (Side Note : The so - called "solar" notes really brighten this up. It really is infused with sunshine, as contrived as that might sound. Ha ha.) It lacks some of the complexity of the others from the Bloom range that I've tried. As I say - it smells like that shower gel. Once I grasped and understood it for what it is, I fell for it and am now a big fan of this scent. I also understand the yellow bottle - YLANG. Looks like mustard though. I wish the sunneyed, honeyed ylang-ylang lasted the duration in this because it really is lovely. A lovely scent. It really is a shame that the base must tread its muddied boots so heavily upon my precious Ylang petals too soon. But thanks, GUCCI, for producing a perfume so like the shower gel I once loved. I love this too.

I sensed an overpowering smell of Jasmine with the Woody Notes in the beginning of the fragrance when I first applied it on to my skin. It's very strong beyond arms length and only a little bit is needed, plus I noticed it can cause nausea to some people who aren't fond of these kinds of smells near their nose 👃 It's good to put on when your alone though, or if you put a little bit of the perfume in your hair after you bathe the scent can last longer though out the whole day and fade off into the evening hours, then you can put on a similar perfume that won't be too much for your nose 👃 to handle or clash with the fragrance because it will be gone by then. Now on to the top, middle, and bottom notes. The Rangoon Creeper is the strongest scent of honeysuckle I've ever smelt which is used in most of the Gucci Bloom perfumes in their collection, combine it with Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, and Orris and you have a fresh lush cut-green grass essence that reminds me of Springtime in May for some reason. Scents I like that I suggest to take away the remaining smell from Profumo Di Fiori would be J'adore Dior because of it's softer version of the jasmine smell I love so much along with the rose, soothing violet and fruity musky melon scent that comes with it to take away the strong woody Orris that makes my head spin since I'm into the sweet gentle white florals. The second J'adore which is the Parfum d'eau is another one because there is just orange blossom, soft Arabian jasmine and Magnolia including the fact that there is no alcohol used in the perfume which brings out the florals even more in the composition, and the third J'adore which is l'Or is more of the elixir version of orange blossom scent detected in fragrance along with jasmine, white rose, and Lily of the Valley. Either way, as long as it's not used too much in excess then it's definitely a keeper. It's also good to use for weddings, to relax, and many more!

About to test this on my skin. I have Gucci Bloom drying down on my other arm. I expect this to be a little green in the opening, because Gucci Bloom is a little green in the drydown from the rangoon creeper, and this has rangoon creeper in the opening. I also expect this to smell a hint tropical from the ylang ylang, and maybe a little powdery from the musk and orris root. Typically my expectations are always wrong. Haha. Gucci Bloom flanker... GO! Strong green in the opening. Much stronger than the green in the drydown of Gucci Bloom. Smells a little like... nettles? But nice. I cannot believe it, but I actually really love this opening. I normally do not get along with green notes, but I am beginning to think maybe I do. Maybe I just don't get along with bad perfumes? I love Chanel's Gabrielle Essence, and once this perfume settles, it does remind me a little of that. The greeness is mostly gone now, and I smell the strong creamy white flowers and ylang ylang. In my scent aura, it tricks my brain into smelling a hint of coconut. That happens a lot with ylang ylang for me. Ylang ylang is a fragrance note I really like, but I do not like sweet tropical fruity fragrances, and ylang ylang can sometimes be paired with these notes. So I am excited to smell this without any fruity sweetness. Again, this is a strong floral. Means floral business. But the scent aura around me is super beautiful. I'm not getting much powder. Maybe a hint. I typically wear Tocca Florence on my morning runs. I switch it up occassionally, but that is my typical go to. However, I think if I had a full bottle of Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori, it would share my attention.

Instead of focusing on pure floral, Profumo Di Fiori shifts our attention to some additional woods and resins in our blooming garden. I am reminded of the house in the film Call My By Your Name. This scent evokes that family gathering table- wooden benches warmed by the Italian sun; sandy, raw benzoin strewn about the tabletop alongside summer fruits and books of Rimbaud. Everything perfectly nestled in the shade of massive honeysuckle and tuberose. This definitely feels more golden than the original Gucci Bloom. I’ve found that Profumo Di Fiori evolves to a skin scent much faster than the original (however, sandalwood tends to do that with my own body chemistry) but there’s more of a depth to this one that makes it somehow more intriguing and more approachable than Gucci Bloom EDP. After spending some time with this flanker, I’ve realized that my interest in Profumo Di Fiori has completely rekindled my love for the original. I prefer the explosive, green headiness of the original Gucci Bloom- however Profumo Di Fiori is incredible; different enough to own and wear both. For those fans of the Gucci Bloom line, you will find that this one does that same magical thing on those hot days- as your skin warms up, Bloom envelopes you in the most lucious aura of white florals. For the price, Profumo Di Fiori is one of the most exquisite sunny white florals on the market.

Wow this is fantastic! Alberto does it again 🙌 It's refreshing to see a true floral on the shelves lately, so many things share a vanillic/white musk drydown after an opening of pear or cherry. I'm glad something is out currently from a designer brand that actually keeps things on the classic side (that being said I love gourmands as much as the next person). Stylistically, this is oldschool! However, despite being on the throwback end of things, the florals are kept fairly "approachable" and the tuberose is lovely and *obviously* tuberose, but it's tame and not snappy or green. But...it's also not too sweet or bubble-gummy, it's PERFECT! The ylang ylang with the addition of orris is fabulously creamy, and it's smoooooth baby! This would be on the verge of too heavy for hot summer days, but I actually suspect it would become intoxicating with some warm humid air. I get enough jasmine, but it's within balance, it's yellow in tone, verging on narcotic. Just...perfect. I'm honestly moved by this. Holy... 🥺🌼🏵 I'll say it a 3rd time. Mother-Freaking-PERFECT. Please, no flankers are needed. No reformulations. No discontinuation...just leave it ALONE. Absolutely nothing needs to be altered, it's technically brilliant. Just leave it the f*ck alone and keep it available 💛

At first there was a subtle sunscreen scent but it fades very quickly blossoming into this luscious oriental cool-garden-breeze that almost feels as if it's flowing through a window left ajar. I wouldn't say it's particularly feminine as the sandy woody notes are very prominent in this helping remove itself from any particular sex however the white floral notes do stand out incredibly well. It's fresh, it's not very muddy but once it gets to the soul notes it becomes one of the most luxurious and delicious smells you could find yourself enveloping in. My only critique is that this strays away from a men's or women's fragrance as the benzoin and the sandlwoody musk present themselves. It captures an image and a feeling rather than evoking any particular attraction or demanding lust. It is like a subtle escape into a peaceful bird orchestration, where the garden flowers are lit up by the sun peaking through a towering coastal pine. It's not very complex, but it is lovely and more than pleasant to be around. If you are looking for something that has more feminine qualities I would recommend the other Blooms as they present themselves in a playful flirty way- some more mature than others.

The exotic/tropical Bloom! Still a tuberose forward fragrance but very heavy on ylang ylang, solar notes and benzoin. I would go as far as to say that ylang ylang is as prominent as tuberose is. Unlike the original Bloom, Bloom Profumo di Fiori would work during warmer fall days because it’s so intensely resinous and balsamic. More complex, richer, sweeter and multifaceted, I expect this flanker to be a bit polarising because some might find it cloying or too difficult to like.. I love it, it’s my favourite out of all from the Bloom line and the only one that I had to buy a second bottle because I am nearly done with the one I bought when it was released! If you love a warm, resinous, creamy, balmy, powdery, sunny tuberose/jasmine/ylang ylang with woods and some clean musk in the base, you’ll adore this! It’s impeccably done! The only thing that’s not that impressive about Bloom Profumo di Fiori is the performance. It’s a scent that sits a bit too close to the skin for my liking, I wish it would be more radiant in the air. I do love a beastly perfume no matter the scent profile!

Due to what we are still going through at the moment, many of us are not able to travel. I love to travel especially to visit friends and family and some of them live in S.E. Asia. Living in London at the moment is a little bit mundane and the weather does not help; May and it is still raining! I was out on my 'Me Time' yesterday and decided to stop in a local perfume counter, not really thinking of getting anything and then I tried this and just one spritz brought me back to warm S.E. Asia. The white florals explosion is divine! and very much reminds me of jasmine/ylang/tuberose/marigold garlands brought into temples as offerings. There is no doubting that I love my white floral fragrances because it says so much of my S.E. Asian heritage and Profumo is my current love for this spring and summer. Great projection for an hour and slowly settles as ylang, resin and musk skin scent, but I do not mind re applying on my 3rd hour as I just need to be reminded of the warmth of S.E. Asia especially now.

This perfume is mature. Smells exactly like honeysuckle does in spring, after a light rain. On a hot day you also get a distinct smell of jasmine tobacco or nicotiana alta, also known as tanbaku. Some people think it's a whiff of gardenia, but no, gardenia is intoxicatingly indolic and I am confident nobody can wear it for more than an hour without a migraine. Sometimes it reminds me of the acacia flowers and it seems that the ylang ylang combined with the tuberose and jasmine creates this interesting effect on various people. Your skin will definitely love it and bring it to life. I adore it! I love all the Bloom iterations, even the Guilty ones, as they smell very true to life. Floral perfumes can be tricky alas an olfactory treat for the right people. These gucci creations take me on trips down memory lane. If you don't like white flowers, skip them. There are better flowery, girly and more powdery iterations on the market than these mature options from the house of Gucci.

I saw on reddit that someone didn't like this one because they felt like "being punched in the face by flowers." lol ... Now I know my perfect perfume is the feeling of being punched in the face by flowers. =D Because this scent is heavenly! The perfect tropically floral feminine scent. Some people associate coconut or vanilla with tropical, but that is not what I think or want at all. I think of heavy florals that shine through the humidity! And this is an actual flower bomb. Not of the modern overly sweet scents that have dominated the market since the 00s... but a beautiful, STRONG harmony of white florals with some interesting other notes to make the scent more balanced and sophisticated. This is in the signature scent level of awesomeness range. If you like non-sweet white florals, this is for you! :) If you like gourmand or extra fruity or spicy scents, this definitely is not. This is for the extra femme elegant ladies who likely love vintage everything.

This and the Intense are by far the best in the Gucci Bloom line. I can really smell the honeysuckle (Rangoon creeper) in this one then when you add the solar notes and the tropical ylang you get a gorgeous realistic sunny fragrance. Honeysuckle is a rare note to find strongly in a fragrance. My grandmother had the whole side of her garage covered in honeysuckle in the summertime. I would stand next to it in the languid heat taking in wafts of exquisite aroma and plucking out the stamen to steal a drop of unctuous nectar from the blossoms. Standing there in cohoots with the bumblebees taking drops of dew on my little tongue we were drunk on heady beauty. This little time traveler takes me back to swooning over natural loveliness and nostalgia of my childhood. (Hey, we didn’t have the internet you had to create your happiness). The other notes give a woody, powdery touch of silky depth. Skip the OG and get this little beauty before it’s completely gone.

This was suggested to me in a post where I ask for summer and spring sandalwood fragrances I read the notes and fell in love. So today when I was in Sephora looking for skincare I of course quickly detoured to the back fragrances. The moment I say this I said I have to try. I did and loved it beyond words. At first, it smelled of honey and vaguely reminded me of my mom's Joe Malone's Orange Blossom, even sort of like the honeysuckle from Joe Malone. So naturally, since mothers day is next week I bought it for her. Since she is super sensitive to fragrances I tried it on (a good gift after all has to be something you love) and its perfection. It starts out pretty heavy on the floral but within an hour dies to a more muted floral, fours hours later it's very light but still smells amazing just more like Jhonson and Jhonson baby shampoo and honeysuckle. I do wish that a fragrance like this would last longer and have better sillage.

This perfume made spring my favorite season. I am obsessed with it. It’s not enough for me to have a bottle, I need a bottle in every size, I need a roller. Maybe one more bottle just in case. The hold it has on me is hilarious. I can’t bring myself to throw away empty bottles, or even the box. I’ve ended up with a small shrine in my room. Often I’ll keep out-of-season bottles of perfume in the refrigerator but for some reason, I can’t bring myself to put this one out of my sight. I need it close to my bed. I only wear it in the spring because I don’t want the magic to be lost, like a favorite song played too many times. However I’ll have to give myself an occasional spray before bed if I need cheering up, even if it’s the middle of winter. I can easily get carried away and inhale too deeply, too frequently, and get out of breath, just smelling my wrists over and over and over again. Uncomplicated beauty.

This is the only perfume I've ever paid full price for. The lady at the perfume counter pulled it out and it hit me with such a powerful scent memory that I had to have it IMMEDIATELY. The memory was from the few brief years my family lived in Georgia, in an apartment building surrounded by honeysuckle. This perfume is walking outside on the hottest summer day with the most blinding sun and being hit with the honeysuckle as soon as you walk out the door. It is sultry, indulgent, and lazy -- but still bright and beautiful. It is summer, summer, summer -- perfect for hazy days, and those nights where the sun refuses to set. It's been out of the rotation for me since September but I pulled it out recently when the winter blues were really getting to me. It immediately lifted my mood and helped get me through a dreary day. A beautiful, joyful fragrance that I can't wait to break out again.

At first smell it was strong... suffocating almost in the heat of summer. I put it away in a drawer thinking I'd get back to it later. Whenever I passed the drawer I got a whiff of something magical. Is the perfume leaking? What is happening.. I thought it smelled weird... but I couldn't help myself. I had to try this perfume again now that the temperature has cooled. Wow. Wow. Wow. It's like Alien but more dressed up. More sexy and creamy yet dainty and magical. It's unexpected as this is marketed as a summer fragrance but it suits me better at fall as I find it syrupy floral notes too strong in the heat. It makes sense as I thought Alien was too intense but I find it perfect during the cooler months. If you hated your bottle. I suggest give it one last chance in the fall and winter. If all else fails... you can mail it to me where it will be well loved.

IT SEDUCED ME: From the moment I sniffed this perfume at Sephora, I could not get it out of my head. I don't know why I felt intrigued by it. I like prettier bottles, usually. And I'd never bought a Gucci fragrance before. But I was at the mall with my friend, tried it on a tests trip and was immediately entranced. I tried it on my skin and it was even better. My friend thought it was too "old lady" for me (I'm 37, she's 27), but I disagreed. However, it was pricey so I didn't get it. But it continued echoing through my imagination for weeks until I finally broke down and purchased it. And I've never looked back! Wearing this makes me feel like a beautiful, powerful yet tender, wise elven queen. It's what I imagine Galadriel from Lord of the Rings would wear. It's seductive, enchanting, alluring and mysterious.

This is one of my favorite smells ever. Not favorite FRAGRANCE, favorite SMELL. I’m a country boy, and I disagree with the classification of this scent as a WHITE floral. This is walking down my Grammy’s dirt driveway, surrounded by daffodils and honeysuckle! I’m pretty sure the tuberose is where I’m getting the hints of honeysuckle but overall this smells like a very YELLOW floral. Like a country garden! This is probably in my top 3 fragrances EVER! Definitely not for everybody, probably even less so for people with allergies, as it is a very REAL floral! Ulta Beauty has a tester, go try it out. They even have a roll-on to test. Longevity is FANTASTIC, and even better with the roll-on! Edit: just learned that Rangoon Creeper is also known as Chinese Honeysuckle! So that explains a lot :)

I am singing with joy! What a darling this is. A floral bomb dipped in vanilla milk. Although I don’t see any vanilla listed but the blooms smell so creamy and vanilaic. I received my 100ml today, along with other purchases, and as I was opening my bundle of joys and spraying it in different parts of my arms this guy was singing loud and clear against everything. To give you the context- I had Dior Addict, Versace Crystal Noir, Prada infusion iris cedre (and from the morning Lheur Blu Guerlain and Silk Mood MFK), and this guy was beating all of them. Just 1 spray, mind you! If you need projection get this. If you love florals get this. If you love Jasmine and Ylang Ylang get this. I think this very easily can be a bridal fragrance if the bride likes something strong and loud (like me)

My sense of smell applauds loudly and benefits with approval and satisfaction. Divine perfume, sharp, a little bit chalky and not cloying, narcotic, never opulent, hovering between a dry taste on the palate and wet on the nose. Whilst it intoxicates like fermenting must in barrels, like solid marc before distillation, obviously realizing a completely different scent, it denotes the unmistakable style of the Bloom line. And mine is a great fortune. It's definitely yellow, yes. Or more precisely of a white yellow. How good, how wonderful. Scent dries down in a divine way, is to be ennobled by benzoin i suppose. Amazing. My absolute favorite remains Ambrosia as for its dirtier shadow, its rougher rumor, absolutely perfect. But this jewel..what a graceful impertinence, what a beauty.
