Guess Men (Original)

So, I've been wearing this cologne off and on for decades. Unfortunately, my wife isn't as fond of it, and I can't really figure out why. Anyway, when you first apply it, it has an almost sweet aroma to it, which fades quickly ... After half an hour or so, it carries a really good mild spice and leather kind of smell that lasts for hours. Over time, it leaves a slightly spicy, warm, masculine aroma on your clothing, and it never goes funky like some colognes do. Again, though, it's not as dark and spicy as my wife would prefer - she likes leather and tobacco types of smells, whereas this one is more spice and warm floral (in a masculine way). I've never found one that I like better, but my wife prefers something stronger with more sillage. She doesn't mind Drakkar Noir, but I'm less enamoured with that one.

God! years ago I tried so hard to find this frag. here but it was nowhere. now finally I read it and the gold-like cologne spray is still by my side. Guess Man is strong, dynamic and addictive, maybe the sage makes it out of the lavender fougere, darken with labdanum, and drydown to earthy patchouli. for me it's an animal tamed in a bottle. man, when released it louds straightforward and is better than today's many phony babies.

I loved this fragrance and was really disappointed it was discontinued. Will probably breakdown and purchase a bottle off ebay. The cologne itself was a little strong when first put on but after it set for about thirty minutes it was great. Takes me back to a time when I was heavily dating and had a lot of compliments on this scent. Truly missed...

Hand me down from father, very manly smell. Whenever I had this in my rotation I ran through it insanely fast. 9/10

I still have this bottle from ages ago but unfortunately it doesn’t smell right now. I remember it being on the sweet and powdery side and loved it.
