Type 2: Red Currant & Balsam

Such a solid fragrance. Bottle is very high quality. Heavy and thick glass, the cap has some weight and is magnetic and can hold the bottle up. The tag on the bottle is textured and looks nice..Just with that it feels like a fragrance that is worth at least double the price. The fragrance is definitely BR540 inspired . But it is a toned down version of it. It's way easier to wear than br540. It's not as sweet or cloying, it's an inoffensive take on it. It also has a light sunscreen note to it which is nice. Definitely unisex but very slightly leans feminine from the added softness from that lotion note. But this is an absolute bang for your buck . Great bottle great smell, higher quality ingredients and all for $20. I have to give this a very solid 8/10. Can't wait to try more from this Guess collection.

I like this! Very unisex, and this could be a great signature scent for someone in a cooler climate, since I think it projects well outdoors but doesn’t overwhelm the noses of those in a classroom or office. I don’t really see the BR540 comparison- while that scent is very sweet and woody to me, this is fresher, muskier, and slightly more aromatic.

This is a very beautiful scent that should get more attention. It's feminine and sweet but slightly acidic and tart from the red currant, a bit green, masculine and aromatic from the balsam fir while being enveloped in that mass appealing designer amber-caramelly-sweetness. It's also partly lactonic -- smells like a subtle coconut note is in here, even though it's unlisted. To me, the scent leans more fruity than floral. The florals notes are not *that* strong and the lack of saffron in the composition differentiates this from BR540 enough to make this scent less piercing and a lot easier to wear. The notes contrast each other well and make for a very pleasant, calm scent, best suited for spring and summer. It's unisex, possibly leaning a bit feminine, but I'm a man and I really like this scent. Also, it has a very strong magnetic cap which is always a plus.

If you were to mix BR 540 with Abercrombie and fitch Fierce but tone them both down. Solid $20 purchase. Performance is solid and unlike others with this same DNA you can smell it on yourself the whole time because of that Abercrombie vibe it has.
