Odette

Tarty angel. Bitter as she is sweet. Dominant note for me is ruby grapefruit and runner-up is baby powder. Odette’s grapefruit is stellar – so juicy and bitter. There’s an effervescent bubbles-on-ice quality to the citrus, but it's far more Italian soda than seltzer. She’s everything I wanted from DS&D’s Grapefruit Generation, which feels like the La Croix version of Odette. The baby powder must be the rose-orris amalgam. While the clean baby accord scared me off of L’Eau D’Hiver, here the clinical musk plays splendidly with the grapefruit. Unfortunately, Odette has La Croix-level longevity on skin. Liked it on first spritz. Loved it when I reapplied several hours later on fabric. Feral when I got the electrum between Odette on one sleeve and Odile on the opposite wrist, both whispering for me to drop hundreds of dollars on wearable flavoured water. I can be your angle....or yuor devil. Mental Snapshot: Early bird. Virgo stellium. So thorough in her self-care she’s a wellness CEO. At least three, monogramed in swooping scarlet calligraphy. Every evening is booked for “treating oneself.” tl;dr: Mademoiselle Pamplemousse 🩰 🦢 EDIT: revisiting because I can't stop dreaming of her. To the reviewer that said there's fresh cannabis in the opening – omg yes. I definitely see it. This is 100% a grapefruit edible.

This opens with what I find to be the most realistic smelling rose note paired with a strong grapefruit scent. Its very sweet but, in my opinion, it doesn't seem like an artificial sweet scent. It somehow smells very natural. I don't think its a perfume that fits me personally but, I still love it a lot. It's so very pretty and perfect for the springtime. Odette, is such a beautiful experience, and if you can get your hands on a sample of this gorgeous perfume then I'd highly recommend. Even if you wouldn't buy it for yourself or you don't think it'll fit you, its still just an amazing scent to get to experience.

very beautiful but very weak.. i only get the sparkling water towards the end, though its immediately present and photorealistic on paper(tbh smells a bit like pamplemousse la croix on paper!). on my skin, it reminds me a lot of a luxurious rose bubble bath. like everyone else said, its veryyy overpriced. i would recommend buying only after you sample + wear and only if you really like the bottle (it is cute!)

Bought this on a whim after smelling it in Ministry of Scent in San Francisco. I love it, completely unlike any other scent I own, which are mostly Rose based. The grapefruit sparkles but the rose and slightly powdery feel settle longer. I can’t stop putting my nose to my wrist. It’s a scent I wear for me, not for anyone else. Uplifting, fresh, delicious.

The opening is bright, effervescent, intoxicating grapefruit champagne. Lace and tulle gowns, floating down a set of stairs in a sunlit, chandelier filled ballroom set for brunch. Bouquets tied with ribbons. Pastilles and petit fours. A smirk and a wink and a naughty giggle. Lingers sweet and honeyed just for you.
