Buonissimo

Certainly as presented, Buonissimo, Hilde Soliani's release that celebrates Luckyscent's 15th anniversary, is a gourmand lover's gourmand, and its note breakdown supports such a forecast. From the opening I get more of a cocoa vibe before it dries down into its stated mix of croissant, vanilla, sugar, butter, cappuccino, and caramel, though frankly the last two contribute the least. It's really not a caramel or a coffee scent at all, even though they both might very well contribute in the background. Rather, Buonissimo has the combined effective of smelling like a confectionery shop and a bakery at the same time. Performance is quite good overall, and the pricing is fair ($160 for 100ml), especially relative to what the niche market is like now. I'd offer the general admonition that Buonissimo might be unbearable for those who do not like sweet scents, predictably, and might prove redundant for some gourmand lovers like myself, but that it's not so vanilla-centric and features a bready/buttery side renders it a bit of a departure from everything in my catalog. It's not the least bit resinous, either, so it fails to overlap the vanilla/amber subgroup that. It's delectable and playful, clearly unisex and year-round friendly, though admittedly I'd be careful about when I wear it during the warmer months, and most of all, it's a satisfying wear that works for me. I'll certainly give some thought to nabbing a bottle. 8 out of 10

The perfect amount of coffee with actual vanilla and caramel creamer. The butter is practically undetectable and isn’t obnoxious. It’s more of a croissant which isn’t pushy in this fragrance somewhere on the table and you kinda know butter is an ingredient used to make it. Glad those two notes are subtle to allow the warm cozy cup of coffee to shine. This would be a more casual coffee scent if I acquired, while Kilian Black Phantom a more dressed night out. It’s also not as powerful in terms of “fill the room projection” like TK Coffee Addict. TK would be the better option for those who always have performance issues as this is the more calm version, actually showing the caramel to peak through more. Buonissimo is delicious and wearable in my opinion. Performance is still great in my opinion but it does close in towards the skin at the 2-3 hour mark. I’ve seen and heard of this indie house for many years now and finally decided to try. Not disappointed at all.

This is an unexpected delight for me as I'm not a huge coffee person and generally don't enjoy the smell of a brewing pot. The opening is a boozy specialty Irish coffee with a rich dark coffee base, vanilla whipped cream, hazelnut, and a bit of whiskey. Sweet, but not saccharine, this is the smell of a cheeky sunday brunch or an after dinner drink. Settles down into a gentle caramel mocha scent. This fragrance is oddly ephemeral and fleeting despite the strong notes and good projection at the beginning. This scent is strangely wearable despite being a true food scent. I see why Hilde is known as The Queen of Gourmand. The sweetness, vanilla, and hazelnut transform this scent into something decadent and cozy instead of harsh and bitter. This is a scent I don't think it's possible to over spray--you may just owe your coworkers a coffee run if you over spray and head to the office. 8/10

Cappuccino, yes. French cafe traditional cappuccino with the microfoam and a flaky, buttery croissant on the side? No. Think long road trips, rain on the windows, drifting in and out of sleep in the passenger seat while the radio plays quietly in the background. You stop at a gas station just off the freeway and run from your vehicle through the downpour. Inside, you set your styrofoam cup under the cappuccino machine and hit the button. It spits to a start and the scalding hot mix of powdered coffee, sugar, and french vanilla flavoring quickly fill your cup. You burn your tongue on your first sip of the sweet liquid, but it gives you that little burst of energy you need for another few hours and the last stretch of road.

Extremely pleasant to my nose, doing long day today and testing my samples along the way. I feel so nurtured and comfy sniffing this in my arm, I’m gourmand lover and this is just deeelicious and defenate buy! I can definitely smell the croissant and the caramel and the coffee brings the sweetness down in the most appropriate manner as does the butter! Very comforting mood lifter like a cup of hot chocolate curled up in a blanket snuggling with your purring cat. Lasting power isnt very strong so after hour cant smell much anymore nose to skin Edit:$160 for a perfume that is only skin scent and disappears after one hour, not worth it for being too weak.

A decadent, rich scent: thick cappuccino coffee, cake with all the trimmings, no skimping on creamer. One of my teachers in elementary school always had a mug of coffee and the scent would fill the whole room, this delicious incredible almost caramel-like coffee with a velvety roasted espresso depth and generous hazelnut creamer. I can picture it in my head now, being 9 or 10, the mug resting on her desk, secretly hoping she'd bring it nearer so I could sniff it. Maybe this memory is embellished by time; that's how good it was. The best coffee I've ever smelled. This is just like that.

This reminds me of nothing else. I’m a picky gourmand lover. I bacame totally obsessed by this one. It takes me to Italy right away, to the cafeteria me and my tiramisu and capuccino (or croissant and capuccino) and all the Italian cravings comes over me. It’s smells exactly as the dessert and I find it very unisex, sophisticated gourmand, not to sweet. The only problem is the weak staying power. It really doesn’t stay very long on my skin, maximum 2 hours. My 10 ml decant is very soon empty and if someone wants to swap//sell please pm me!!!

Anyone who is looking for a photorealistic coffee scent - look no further! This is it! This smells *exactly* and I mean *exactly* like a cappuccino and a buttery croissant. I mean, other coffee fragrances, even the good ones, just don't compare at all. This is just such a cozy, happy, good smell, Buonissimo! Truly. ETA: I think this is unisex. Yes, it is a little sweet, but a man could definitely wear this because there is something quite masculine about the coffee note.

To me this smells like the bottom of your mug immediately after finishing a cappuccino. Maybe you dipped in a biscotti, maybe other bakery scents are wafting about. It's one of the least fake or cloying true gourmands I have tried, it's really enjoyable, but unfortunately the longevity is indeed poor at this price point. I wish this line came in 30ml or even travel sizes because then I would be a lot more open to picking up a few, and decants are hard to come by.

Got a sample from luckyscent and as a gourmand lover I've gotta say this is already one of my favorites fragrances ever. Tiramisu, Cappuccino, Coffee creamer, Italian cafe all come to mind when I smell it. It's sooo delicious, such an amazing fragrance. It's only downfall is the fact that it probably won't last longer than 2-3hrs. Am I still gonna buy the full bottle even though it doesn't have the best performance? Absolutely it's too delicious not to own.

This perfume is DIVINE! It's sweet and gourmand without being sickly, the coffee note really adds a unique depth. I get compliments every time I wear it!

I first got a bit of cocoa, and then the smell turned into a photorealistic hazelnutty coffee. Once the coffee "cooled", I was left with a sweet milky scent that cozily settled on my skin. Gourmand lovers will love this. I only have a dabber, so I can't say with certainty how wearable this scent is, but the projection is pretty weak. I think it's great for those with sensitive noses who don't mind sniffing their wrist. It is lovely that it isn't cloying but still sweet. For those who want projection, this scent, while delicious, will probably disappoint.

Very sweet opening notes of vanilla, butter and a croissant type of smell. Fairly simple notes. I love sweet croissants, reminded me of them when I lived in Naples Italy. Possibly a little too sweet for office. The longevity is not that great, became a skin scent after an hour or two. Sillage is great initially but then lowers significantly after an hour. I love the smell but I don't think for me it's bottle worthy. Possibly if better longevity I would consider.

Like sipping a caramel cappuccino in a café. On my skin, Buonissimo's caramel and vanilla notes are most prominent, accented by coffee, creamer, and a hint of butter. This is a gourmand through and through - Hilde Soliani is the Queen, after all. I recommend this fragrance if you're looking for a coffee gourmand that's uncompromisingly sweet but not overly linear. Personally, however, I'm going to be layering this fragrance to add some contrast and depth.

The opening of this smells like the butterscotch candies my grandmother's kept in a crystal dish in her living room. On skin however it smells like wafts on the teacher's lounge at your elementary school as french vanilla coffee brews in the background-- like coffee breath even. Def a gourmand coffee scent and the butter and bread notes give it again that sort of butterscotch/caramel smell.

Sampling this. It is straight up vanilla yellow cake batter with sweet vanilla buttercream icing. there is a slight hint of coffee. its very sweet, but not cloying. it comes close, but doesnt go over that fine line. if you have a sweet-nose, youll probably like it, but this fragrance is a bit too literal and too sweet to be wearable for me.

Vanilla buttery pastry. I never detected coffee which was slightly disappointing. This smells so good and edible. It actually borders on "scented candle" for me. The longevity was just okay and to be frank it was a skin scent from the very beginning. I like it but for the price I think it should be a little stronger.

I have an old sample of this from Luckyscent, and the decant has held up beautifully. delish, and I'm not usually a gourmand girl. it's smells like hazelnut coffee creamer but like, an expensive and aspirational hazelnut coffee creamer. like a strong, milky, hazelnut espresso drink with a fat slice of brioche

Nice! Boozy opening with a sweet caramel coffee drydown. It does sort of smell like you spilled your macchiato on yourself, haha. But that's a testament to how realistic it is. Definitely a cozy scent, I can imagine wearing this on a chilly rainy day and getting comfort from it.

Boozy open, hazelnut Torani syrup finish, very slight saltiness on my skin which mixes with my natural smell. It fades even more quickly than her other scents because it doesn’t have any brightness. I personally prefer intimate scents, so not necessarily a bad thing.
