New Sipario

Hilde Soliani New Sipario is seemingly a 2021 re-release of the original 2008 Sipario, which I’ve not tried. New Sipario is a mix of rum, coconut, pineapple, and vanilla, a sweet and fresh pina colada that’s an accurate, enjoyable recreation of the drink in fragrance. Most of the rum’s sharpness is in the opening, however, and the blend is a bit creamier in the dry down. It definitely has the vibe of a holiday, fittingly, fresh and not too heavy while still being a bit sweet and decant, and again, the sharp boozy rum accord does remain present in the dry down but is noticeably more pronounced in the opening minutes, so it seems like a fragrance that would be nice to reapply occasionally. To that point, its performance is decent but it’s not among the stronger fragrances I’ve tried from the line. Still, the line’s pricing is great, and New Sipario is the typical $160 for 100ml, sold via Luckyscent in the US. 7 out of 10

I bought this last year, when I saw it on Hilde's site. I have the original Sipario. I really hoped the NEW Sipario was stronger. Nope. In fact it's less sweet, weaker pineapple and coconut notes. It pales in comparison with the original. New Sipario is a lightly sweet boozy scent with barely an iota of faint faint pineapple, and almost no coconut detected. Sadly, the discontinued original Sipario is better. A LOT better.

If you’re looking for one dominant pineapple fragrance New Sipario should be on your short list. It’s a vacation in a bottle; creamy pineapple and coconut cocktail style goodness. Agree with EmmaSmells, New Sipario is very sweet. A carefree, summer scent.

You can smell the pineapple but it's not as strong as I would have liked, has a kind of minty smell/feel it's very refreshing but I don't think any of the notes are nearly as strong as they should be.

It's a pineapple fiesta for a few minutes, then settles to a creamy coconut. Nice for summer.
