Hollister Canyon Escape Woman

My mom had come to visit me two summers ago. It was a sunny day and we were out shopping. At some point we wandered into a cosmetics shop. There was a pile of 'Canyon Escape' perfumes on the table. They had JUST arrived. The bottle looked cute (love the small wave detail in the glass & the wooden cap!), so I decided to test the scent ~ loved it! I knew right there and then I wanted to buy the perfume, but it was so new they hadn't put up the prices yet. Based on how the perfume smelled like, I said to my mom "I bet it's too expensive". (Mind you, I'm not familiar with the 'Hollister' brand at all, so I had no idea about their prices) Well, the perfume turned out to be a bargain! I have since learnt 'Hollister' is targeted pretty much at teenagers & early 20s. I don't mind it, it's not embarrassing for me to buy 'teenage stuff' even though I'm way past my teenage years. ;) I've actually noticed many 'youth-targeted' fragrances are easier to tolerate ~ not sure if they have less alcohol in them or if they use less harsh chemicals (??), but they're usually less likely to induce headaches and sneezing. 'Canyon Escape' is a very special perfume to me - it holds that memory of being out with my mom and finding this perfume together. The scent itself is pretty unique, I don't have anything else that smells like it. It could be the Cactus juice or the Desert rose that makes it different? I'm not familiar with those notes, so could be either one - or both! It's a 'warm' and easy-to-wear fragrance. Has a decent lasting power on my skin. I'd recommend it! Don't let the 'Hollister' scare you off from testing it!

I def smell the cactus and blood orange. Not a sharp or acidic citrus, but a sweet, airy citrus that feels natural and refreshing. What I enjoy most about this fragrance is the feeling it creates. It smells like freedom, but not the loud, party going kind. It smells like a walk outdoors, fresh air on your face, and a quiet moment under the sun. Clean, but not in a generic way. It doesn't smell cheap, artificial, or overly polished. It feels natural, like no makeup, not bidding, not trying to be someone else. I enjoy it both alone and in company. While I wouldn't necessarily wear it to bed, I can absolutely imagine taking a nap under a tree while wearing it. This is one of those fragrances that quietly grows on you. The more I wear it, the more I appreciate its uniqueness, and if I ever ran out, I would happily buy it again.

I absolutely love this! When I tested it in the shop I was certain there's peach in it - was surprised to come home to see the notes! No peach, lol. But desert rose, cactus juice, and solar notes? Wow. I did buy a 30ml bottle and been using it daily now. When it was really hot here there was a baffling dry-down note in it, wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but now that the weather has gotten slightly cooler it's not there anymore. (Thankfully!) I'd describe this fragrance slightly fruity and "warm", but not heavy... It's a quite unique smell! Definitely not disturbing, and it doesn't give any headache or sneezing like some perfumes do. The bottle is lovely, shaped beautifully with the wooden cap! Stylish little bottle. I regret not testing the 'His' version of this fragrance!

What a gorgeous perfume. I love the packaging. The little stout bottle with the wooden lid is really cute and the sunshine colour liquid inside screams summer. It is such a warm scent. I imagine this is what a sun goddess would smell like. It’s sweet but not cloying, it’s almost juicy like a peach and mouth watering. It has that warmth and depth without being sickly sweet. It’s fruity and floral but not flowery. It’s not headache inducing at all considering the sweetness. It’s beautiful. First spray was a bit rough (very polarising) but give it a moment and it really settles down into this beautiful creaminess. Longevity on me is amazing, I could still smell it on my arm the following day. I love it!

By far one of the best scents of any perfume I've ever smelled in my life. Maybe that's a bit dramatic to say ..but to me it's just so beautiful??😂 I get playful, mildly sweet, light florals mixed with bit of citrus and it's just so goodd👌🏻 the longevity isn't the best on me but when I put Vaseline or a thin unfragranced lotion on, it definitely lasts longer as it does on clothes. I wear this for more casual outings or a day date with warm weather. Tbh idk which note or notes I smelled first but it was a definite love at first sniff. I recommend it to people to love a beautiful bubbly floral with a hint of citrus. 10/10 for me💛

I have a new found obsession with fragrance and this was a blindbuy. Love it! It ́s giving something warm and sophisticated. I know it suppose to be more of a summerscent but I find it works really well in a blizzard in dark december aswell. It gives a warmth to it that is comforting. Looking forward to try it in warmer weather because I can also imagine it turns really sexy and free on a warm summernight. I really feel the canyon in the name. Red, dry, dusty, american canyon. Bought a bigger bottle and giving my tiny 30ml baby to my twin to enjoy. Sharing is caring.

I bought this recently at Chemist Warehouse and like many other Hollister fragrances it does not disappoint. On my skin the floral and solar notes are the most dominant and I love the sweetness of the florals. It has very good strength without being too overpowering and is great value for money. Canyon Escape is in my opinion the nicest fragrance Hollister has released and I consider it one of my favourites from the brand.

Beautiful especially for how cheap it was at Ross, i see this one there all the time. The opening feels very like a very deep red citrus backed up with a lovely beachy floral woody body. It screams summer and the beach and the pool, having a cocktail with the besties. I bought this one a while ago and I keep coming back to it

What a nice dupe of Miss Dior(2017), almost. Because of this slightly warm, citrusy and floral scent, I really enjoy it and I find it appropriate for a long and hot Aussie Summer. I feel like not looking further and not breaking the bank for this inoffensive and balanced scent. It is great for casual and work wear.

Para mim é um perfume quente, terno, um aroma que lembra o verão, as férias, o pôr-do-sol numa praia, os amigos, a alegria. É como ter um pouco da energia e força de vida do sol dentro de um frasco! Para mim assemelha se muito ao Wonderlust Michael Kors, apesar de por aqui ninguém ter dado essa opinião.

This was a blind purchase and I'm so glad that I bought this :) It has a nostalgic vibe, and reminds me of my teenage years. It's sweet and fresh smelling, I can definitely smell the citrus tones. It's a new favorite.

this perfume reminds me of lana del rey

This is the first Hollister perfume I've ever tried. Over the last few years, Hollister scents have popped up at Ross, etc., but I've never been attracted to them because they remind me of going to malls back in the mid-1990's and, at that time, I was a perfume snob with my Arpege, Madame Rochas, and Knowing. But for the last 12 or so years, I've also begun indulging in more contemporary beauties (Jessica Simpson Fancy was my gateway drug...). Of all the Hollister perfumes I'd looked up, this one had the most positive reviews, so I spent the $10. Canyon Escape is all cactus and citrus orange over woods, similar in style and smell but not identical to the slightly sweeter Coach Dreams. To my nose, it's really pretty. I think it's the cactus note that makes this scent special. These days, my collection is so large that I'm only keeping perfumes that are strong likes and loves (with the exception of some historically important -- either to me or to perfume history in general -- scents). Canyon Escape is staying.

What a lovely cheapie! I picked my bottle up from a local Ross for around $15. If you are looking for a clone of Tutti Twilly Hermés, this will get you around %75 of the way there. Not a direct dupe, but pretty similar. I get a lot of blood orange and solar notes right off the top that last till the mid, all backed up by a very light and bright musk. Fun, flirty, breezy, easygoing, and you're not going to choke anyone out with this. More unisex than you'd think. Definitely a summertime/daytime wear. Nothing mindblowing, but its a great warm weather dumb reach for when I want something uplifting and sunny. Highly recommend :-)

This one is such a steal for the price. It's not weak at all to me, Doesn't smell cheap in the slightest. It comes off something like a very Citrus-y flanker of Alien, Or L'interdit, It has the same strong grape scent, Which in this case is from the Orange Blossom. It's musky, And the Solar notes are there, But like a soft haze hovering gently over everything else, Very well blended scent. I'm a sucker for any perfume with that "Grape Soda" vibe, So if you like that, Don't sleep on this one! Hollister really does have some great fragrances, All created by famous perfumers as well.

Very pretty citrus with a green backdrop, smells like a day so hot the heat shimmer is near enveloping, or at least what the memory of such a day may conjure. More green than I expected on my skin but in a watery ozonic way and it pairs nicely with the florals leaving the fragrance quite fresh and airy. Not quite like anything I've worn before and definitely a good price for a scent that smells if not niche, at least obscure.

I really enjoy wearing this scent. I've got a 100ml bottle that I share with my mom because that's also her favorite scent. The longevity is incredible - it stays on the clothes for days. Perfect for everyday wear, but I wouldn't wear it as a signature scent. For the price absolutely amazing.

I give it a solid 7.5/10 I don't give it a higher rating because it doesn't really last at all, and the projection could be better , This perfume is delicious, it's like a refreshing fruit bath, very girly. This is the type of perfume that you could abuse in sprays and never be too much.

Mildly sweet, light floral and I don't know why the word "warm" comes to mind. I don't know how to describe what I mean by warm. I'm not allowed to wear perfume at work and this is the right kind of light and casual fragrance for after work that I was looking for. Good for the price.

Jasmine, cedar, a light touch of floral skank, or a floral smokiness, makes it interesting and more elegant than expected. Some say it's too light, but I find it just right, and I like strong perfume. I don't reach for it a lot, but it's really quite nice I think.
