Wave 2 For Her

Warm, salty and sweet - great for a summer vacation! This perfume is super inoffensive and really quite likable. The opening spray for me is aquatic and salty before transforming into a lovely balmy perfume that reminds me of deep orange sunsets and drinking cocktails out of a coconut. Wave 2 is girly without being overly sweet, the lush honeyed-fruit notes counteracting the sharper woodsy base. In fact, this actually reminds me a lot of Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now Beach, but I actually think I prefer this one. It's more complex, feminine and has a lot more depth and warmth to it. It makes me want to reach for my denim shorts and grab a bikini top, letting my skin get freckled from the sun. I think this would make a great summer addition to any summer time collection, or perhaps just for someone like me who is stuck inside on this miserable winter day dreaming of the beach...

It opens with a very realistic coconut water note and in a couple of hours dries down to a creamy coconut milk fragrance with an amazing hot sand note. A perfect summer beach fragrance and very underrated for sure! This is definitely same genre as Sun di Gioia and Alien Eau Extraordinaire but for a fragrance with this price tag the evolving of this scent on skin is really well done. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favourites. People say it doesn't last, but I find that if I'm a little heavy-handed when applying it stays all day. Definitely fruity and floral, although I can't nail down many specific notes. I don't get the coconut unfortunately, but the sand is there for sure. It smells liquidy but not watery if that makes sense. I wear it year-round because it smells like summer!

This smells very nice and summerish. Actually, the first thing my male friend said was: "oh yummy, this smells like the beach! ". So the name is not totally wrong. Downsize is that the sillage and performance is very poor! Like others have said, I can also keep spraying, and still, it turns into a skinscent shortly after. Such a shame. SUMMER EDIT: it's still very subtle and a skin scent to me, but I've just found out that the smell of vanillaish candy/caramell I get every time I'm in the car, must be this perfume I sprayed on in the morning. So now I get a base.... I do not find this cloying at all. Way too weak for that.

Coconut? I smell some beachy florals, salt and most of all, HONEY! Very pretty, although a little thin, longevity is not the worst (I can smell it for at least 5-6 hours) but it doesn't smell like a proper perfume no matter how much I spray on, too watered down. I like how I can layer it with matching body spray and use a ton, sometimes that's what I want, but with this one I could spill the entire bottle on myself and it would probably still not be enough. I wish there was something like this but stronger and fuller smelling, I just adore the 'salted honey' note, it's very warm and sensual.

Es un perfume muy rico, sí es verdad que el inicio és bastante alcohólico-potente, pero en cuanto se asienta se queda un olor playero y muy rico!!! me recuerda en lo veraniego al festival nite que también me encanta, pero éste es más fresco playa día y el otro és más cremoso para playa noche. La estela y proyección de ambos és pobre pero el olor que tienen para mí merece la pena adquirirlos, sin problema para replicar, perfecto para todo el verano, los prefiero antes que los escada.

This was my friend's everyday signature for about 1 and a half semesters in uni. You know who you are (if you do see this). It is pleasant but not my favorite, fresh, on my friend its more like a fruity floral with a bit of sweetness. Not bad. It is a bit heavy honestly. It lasts a really long time on her, I can smell it for hours. I swear most people, including myself go nose blind to our fragrances. People complain about longevity but its actually quite strong.

Wave 2. Aha an aquatic one! No, that’ll be the coconut being all wet, cool and creamy and giving that effect. These Hollisters are definitely of a type, freshie floral with either greens or woods. This one smells a bit like the colour of the bottle, but then has a layer or wet loveliness. It’s my top pick from this line (haven’t gone for the men’s ones). Basically it’s the lush wet version of these freshie florals, and this one has some warmth.

A surfer girl, riding the waves on her board, hair flying in the wind, she's free as a bird, not held back by everyone else's opinion of her. That's what I see when I smell this perfume, I think Hollister perfumes are a tad underrated, this one is gorgeous! I get citrusy peaches with a smooth tiare flower and other beachy florals, it's a perfect holiday fragrance! Possibly good as a gift, too.

It smells beachy, aquatic and floral. A really nice, light summer scent. I really like this one. I can also smell the sand and driftwood in this. Good cheap one to throw on when you cant pick what to wear. Wish it had better sillage and lasting power though.

I blindbought this and it's an okay scent. Nothing more, nothing less. Very linear and smells clean and nice but this is a totally unnecessary perfume when I have 30+ other perfumes that I rather wear. I like the bottle but sadly the scent is boring to me.

I agree with the reviewers who say this is underrated. Not too sweet, floral, fruity, and a little rough textured around the edges from the sand and driftwood. It smells great and is a perfect one to grab-and-go. Glad this was brought to my attention.

This review I'd for HOLLISTER WAVE CRUSH. Its lame, dont bother. Edp strength..pffft. body mist I reckon. Ok, ok, too harsh. Tomorrow I'll do a side by side of wave 2 and wave 2 crush.

I mean, I don't know about summer, but right now in winter on my skin it's straight up honey with beeswax. Very yummy and has moderate projection.

I don't smell any coconut or sweetness in this one, only florals. I like it, it's fresh and lasts for 3 hours or so.

Very fruity and juicy. Carefree, sunny, good for a hot day on the beach for sure.

Summery and beachy. I really like it but once more this does not last at all.

Its. Okay? Its less sweet than I expected, but still VERY sweet. It smells like a nice hairspray. Its wearable, but very young.

Hooo boy this is too floral for me! It was so cheap and I'm such a fan of a few other Hollister perfumes that I had to give it a try, but I won't be keeping. I'm shocked everyone is talking about how poor the longevity is because this seems to be holding pretty strong on me; perhaps more noticeable because I don't like it. This gives me a very similar feeling as Beyonce Heat Wild Orchid, which is to say I bought it hoping for a pretty creamy coconut with a touch of fruit, and instead found myself getting knocked over by a scratchy, borderline allergenic floral haha. All the other notes in it are lovely, but I wish the florals were toned down for sure. It almost feels spicy. Another one it reminds me of is Pacifica Sunrise Moon. If you enjoy this, you will probably also like Wild Orchid or Sunrise Moon! Definitely all cousins, to my nose. The peach is really nice here.

Oooooh noo! To my nose this smells like a bunch of VERY overripe exotic fruits mixed with honey. I can't make out the coconut note from the other loud fruity notes. I'm not getting any flowers in this. Way too sweet, way too cloying for summer for me. Update: In the far dry-down stages now (6 hours plus and still going.... of course the longevity is great on me, because I hate the scent! Murphy's law *sigh*) I am getting caramel notes from this! Interesting, I can't fathom which of the notes are creating this effect. It smells like fruity caramel toffee now. Still honey-sweet.
