Wave 2 For Him

Just a really good fragrance, I'm starting to realize I just love fragrances with this note composition. A musk base cologne. With a generic masculine smell, with a touch of sweetness. It's nonchalantly good. It's one of those colognes wore by a non-collector. That you ask what are you wearing? And they say "Some Hollister stuff." And you're thinking damn what Hollister stuff smell like that? And you wonder is that person lying to you. 😂 Funny enough the bottle is just labeled Hollister California. So once you disregard the box you could easily forget the name of the stuff. The juice and opening are a little weird at first. Smells very sweet and synthetic at first. But then dries down to this alluring sweet masculine musk. Its longevity on skin is actually decent I get about 6-7 hours. But it's a skin scent for its entire life cycle. The silage of Wave 2 is with in about arms reach. But in all honesty it makes the cologne that much cooler. Because it mysteriously and charmingly takes you by surprise. I don't know maybe I'm immature, stuck in the past, or can't escape highschool. But I'm in love with this stuff. You see Wave 2 associated with words like cheapie, weak, synthetic, highschool. I couldn't care less. This stuff is just hypnotic to me. It's definitely a more youthful cologne, but it has enough maturity to match all ages. The joyous sensation that scent creates in my brain is heavenly. It's definitely a sleeper in the community. And isn't mentioned enough. Hollister fragrances in general don't get the credit they deserve. And for $20 a full bottle. It's definitely worth having to have something to wear on your casual days. So you never get caught lacking on a errand run. When you might run into a random baddie at the grocery store. Definitely a best kept secret.

I love frangantica the reviews crack me up. This is not gone in 30 minutes. I think because of the wood and musk in the dry down it would do ok in cooler weather. Anyway people spend less time outside in the cooler months so most freshies with wood in the dry down will work anytime. I have free wave and picked this one up at Ross for $19 and it is a nice freshie, starts with citrus and pepper, then it gets more powdery/flowery and as it settles about 30 minutes it becomes more woody with a little musk, but more wood. It not a powerhouse but, it’s safe for busy areas and even close encounters without being too cloying. It transitions nicely from the opening through the mids and the dry down. Overall I would give it a 7/10.

Cheap, spray as much as you wish, hot day scent that you can bring with you on vacation. This is a perfect swimming scent, and one you can again OVERSPRAY. Too young-like for my taste so gifted my kid with this one, but sure is one to get compliments, especially since the DNA is super fresh and inviting - the kid that a lot of women I know are more geared toward.

It's been a while since I owned this. I actually forgot that I did. But I might purchase another bottle.

i love the smell of this but the performance is bad :(
