Cosmos

My collection is vast, and spans a lot of different scent profiles across a lot of different avenues but some of my favorites always tend to be those warm smoky fragrances. By chance when I was out shopping with one of my besties the other day we stumbled upon a House of Bo display and I reached for Cosmos to try. When I sprayed it on my hand to skin test a nearby sales associate all but tackled me to know what it was I had just put on because it smelled so good and was just wafting through the store. This scent is addictive. The alcoholic whisky and food fire smoke smell start out strong upon application but neither are overpowering. I don’t get “bbq” from the wood fire, rather a sweeter smoke and start to pick up some of the incense. After a few minutes the whole scent comes together and that’s when it really wows you. This is not for the Sephora girls I’ll say that. This is drinking a smoked old fashion in red lipstick alone at a jazz club and being the most commanding and mysterious presence in the room It shares some qualities to Kilian’s Angel’s Share and Maison Margela by the fire place and Jazz Club but both aren’t nearly as complex as this. The dragons blood note in this adds something truly magical and addictive. It is definitely a unisex fragrance but I think the attitude of the wearer will impact perception of this greatly. It makes me think of tarot readings by a wood fireplace, the room is only lit by candles and the warmth of the fireplace light and there is incense burning. The person doing your reading exudes power and sexuality and confidence. They wear red lipstick. They might actually be divine, and not some etsy/tiktok witch. There’s a faint smell of baked goods but not vanilla or cookies... something old world and they offer you a slice of something delicious with tea before reading your tea leaves. The energy in the room seems to crackle and the sweet smoke wafts through the room. They sip an old fashion and tell you in detail without ever asking a question all about your past, and the answers you seek about your future. You only speak to say thank you for the tea and baked goods. There is magic in this room.

When I first gave this fragrance a try, I was beyond excited given the marketing and notes descriptors, expecting something unique and challenging. I was right on the latter. This fragrance isn’t unique, it cleanly lands in the Haltane/Oud for Greatness realm. Rich, abundantly gourmand, Smokey. This can be almost overwhelming at first if you aren’t used to bold fragrances. I forgot I had this in my collection until today. I’ve been working on actually wearing something different everyday and here we are. This fragrance is bold, so spritz lightly. At first it is loud, vibrant, sweet, even screechy. There is maybe a large dose of super amber in this. After it settles though, the smoke comes forward and the woods go ultra dry, almost like kiln dried kindling. It really is amazing how void of moisture this fragrance feels. Much like a vacuum. I don’t know if I’d go full size on this, but I almost never buy full size bc I can’t commit to one thing. This is a great fragrance, the cacao is well executed, it has a curiosity to it that really makes me think about the fragrance, and it’s pleasant!

I’m going to have to agree that this smells like Oud for Greatness but I don’t believe that scent profile is worth the price tag. This fragrance takes a different approach to that “hospital” oud that’s kind of dry from OG and really makes it part of a ensamble. I’ve had my sample for a couple weeks now and I didn’t really think too much of it on initial spray... but I understand it now after going back to it over and over again. I recommend everyone do the same if it’s not something you like on initial try. Alberto Morillas did a fantastic job with this fragrance. It’s meant for date nights or nights out in general. I’ve handed my sample to several people and all of them instantly freak out about how great it smells and spray it on themselves. 😂 it’s a beast performer and the sillage clings to the air. When smelling it on someone from a couple feet away, it smells sweeter from the cocoa but the heavy incense is still present. This is absolutely full bottle worthy and I’ll be getting mine soon.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I’ve never been disappointed by a House of Bo fragrance. This is probably my 2nd favorite next to Casa Blanca. I was a bit nervous to try just because I wasn’t sure what to expect with a “metallic gourmand”, but this has been a quite addictive addition to my collection. The praline adds a delicious caramelized sweetness, but it’s balanced with the smoky and boozy notes, making this lean a bit masculine. I normally don’t care for oud, but the oud in this fragrance is very pleasant and reminds me of oud satin mood. Don’t get me wrong, it smells nothing like that fragrance, but I could see this being oud satin moods hot masculine cousin that’s been sitting by a fireplace. Overall, this is a 10/10. I have the travel size but will be upgrading to a full bottle ASAP!

This is so sexy to me. I received a sample through the Scent Sanctuary FB group. I definitely get the metallic notes in the opening along with the smokiness. As it dries the Martello notes fades for me but the smokiness remains, which I enjoy. I pick up the cacao, the leather and the orris throughout the remainder of my wearing experience. They all have a lasting presence but they’re smooth and velvety to my nose. I sprayed this fragrance around noon and could still smell it when I took my shower that night at 9pm. I could even get a faint whiff on my skin after. Again, this fragrance is smooth and not beast mode at all but it does last. I think this Cosmos is unisex but leaning masculine. I would LOVE to smell this on a man. I really enjoyed my wearing experience.

Cosmos was love at first spray for me. I know it’s marketed as a metallic gourmand but it gives off such a witchy vibe to me! Deep, dark, and mysterious at its finest. The dragon’s blood incense is especially lovely here, while the cacao feels like a light, subtle dusting. I’m not especially fond of oud but it is done so well in this fragrance! Completely inoffensive. It stays on beautifully, 8 hours in and it’s still present. The fragrance feels perfectly unisex, balanced and neither overly masculine or feminine. Cosmos is a scent to wear if you want to be noticed, it’s elevated and sexy. Great for fall & winter yet I think you could wear year round as an evening out fragrance.

This fragrance is unique (but not weird), like no other in my collection. Cosmos is reminiscent of outer space and being a space lover (we can see aurora borealis here) the scent story fits. The fragrance is well-balanced and sophisticated. It lean's masculine and the metallic note gives a sparkle, especially when sprayed on fabric. I performs differently on skin than it does on fabric so we spray it on both. I like how balanced the leather is with the whisky and if you don't like gourmand, no worries... it barely fits into that category. Must try!

I was given a sample of Cosmos for my honest review. This perfume is not what I expected In a good way. It is beautiful and has an ethereal quality to it. First wear I could not stop smelling it. From the initial spray to the drydown it matured into a smoky yet creamy scent that is absolutely wonderful. I wore it by itself to get the full range of the scent and this would also be beautiful layered. I definitely will purchase a larger size for myself. This scent is soothing and intriguing and the longevity and sillage are great.

I see the connections to Haltane. The sweetness leans fruitier despite the cocoa & praline notes listed. Prominent synth leather note on top. Very intense fragrance, you don’t need much to make a statement. Would be a great date night or going out scent, not so much for the office. Definitely not what I expected.

I really love this scent but the longevity and projection are average for the price you pay.

I received a sample through FB Scent Lounge in exchange for an honest review. There’s something truly intriguing about Cosmos. On both paper and skin, the scent remains consistent—projecting boldly with impressive longevity (my skin usually eats frangrances), after full 1 hour workout, this is till going strong. This is a fragrance that feels completely unisex; the notes don’t stand out individually but instead weave together into a complex, evolving tapestry from the first spray to the final dry down. In my mind this is a celestial, scientific, and creative—an atmospheric perfume that transports me straight back to my college engineering labs, crating, tinkering, building, conjouring. It evokes memories of metallic drill presses, soldering irons, the ozonic tang of circuitry, and the blend of student colognes lingering in the air without being photorealistic, it is more of a hint of a point time, and an obvious doppleganger. Wearing it is definately an immersive experience, a sensory time machine to a specific place and era. While I wouldn’t reach for this as a daily signature, I find myself compelled to keep smelling it. It’s deeply memory-inducing and I genuinely enjoy fragrances that whisk me away to another world. I may not buy a full bottle, but I’d keep a decant around just to revisit that atmospheric nostalgia and experience something truly different.

This one had me unsure at first. It’s not in my usual scent profile, and the metallic opening was sharp, so I braced for something industrial. But once it settled, I started to get it. There’s this energy that immediately reminded me of New York. Not the romanticized NYC; the real, gritty, unapologetic city. The dry down stayed true to what I smelled on paper, but it mixes beautifully with my skin. The metallic edge softens into something smoky and dimensional, though it leans a little more masculine than unisex to my nose. I thought it might be overpowering since it clung to a test strip for days, but on my skin it’s surprisingly wearable. A spray on each wrist and one behind each ear is the sweet spot. It projects enough to get noticed without taking over a room. If I had to describe it in one line: an elevated biker bar... in space. Metallic, smoky, leather bomber jackets... dangerous, but polished.

You get a swirling tornado of weirdness and intensity and slightly clashing notes when Cosmos is first sprayed. Oud, peaty whisky, stainless steel. It’s a little overwhelming. But as it dries down it completely smooths out, and becomes very pleasant and almost familiar. To be honest after the first couple hours it really reminds me of Tom Ford Ombré Leather. It’s that kind of buttery smooth verging on sweet, crowd pleasing leather. It’s unisex although perhaps leans a little traditionally masculine. But anyone can wear it. The projection is enormous, it leaves a trail and it lasts literally like 48 hours on skin unless you scrub it away, probably due to a more than healthy dose of Amber wood type stuff..

I received a sample through Scented Sanctuary in exchange for an honest review. House of Bo makes such beautifully blended fragrances and Cosmos is no exception. It is a masculine leaning fragrance with a strong smokey note. The leather also shines in this composition with the slightest hint of sweetness beneath the bold notes. This is a long lasting fragrance with great sillage. If you are a fan of leather and smokey fragrances this is a must try. I tend to prefer sweeter fragrances but still find myself going back and smelling this one over and over again.

The opening is fantastic, there’s some fruity nuances from the Cacao and the Dragon Blood, subtle but they make a difference in an otherwise sweet-resinous composition. It’s dark but with sparks of light, a game Alberto Morillas knows how to play, using the whiskey, musk and mineral notes to poke holes through the dense cloud of oud and resins. The drydown smells like the leftovers of a bonfire before dawn, smoked woods and incense.

I really liked this perfume surprisingly! It's such a nice otherworldly smokey smell to me! I really get the smoke and coal notes! This would be so nice on a man/unisex!

A beautiful fragrance that feels elegant and timeless. It’s not overpowering, lasts well throughout the day, and always leaves a lasting impression. Truly a joy to wear.

One word: oud. The opening is similar to Oud for Greatness. The dry down is closer to Ombre Nomad. Good stuff, but beware, this is not for beginners. Very pungent.

Not an influencer but I got early access. I’ve had it for about a week so far and I have thoughts. If you are looking for a complex, sexy, gourmand THIS IS NOT IT, if you can wait for it to come to major dept stores do it so you don’t purchase blind like I did. I have to be honest I have owned 6 HofBO fragrances and I sometimes feel like I have been duped because of the marketing, packaging, and ethos. I love the brand aesthetic, I appreciate that they are parfum concentration (don’t love that $30 price increase on the 40ml though), but the scents aren’t always cohesive and don’t always coincide with the scent description. Thinking back to Bombon which is billed as a white floral gourmand with marshmallow, bergamot caramel, and cognac with floral and fruit accents.. The reality is the lychee and lily combo suffocates the scent and makes it smell more like a shampoo than sophisticated gourmand. I have to say Cosmos suffers similar issues. Cosmos is billed as a metallic gourmand and I hesitate to call it a gourmand. Upon first spray you are assaulted by smoked leather and incense, then you get hints of praline and cacao, finally you get more leather, wood, musk, and whiskey. My hesitation is this scent has Jekyll/Hyde tendencies . When I got this scent it was about 15 degrees warmer..in warmer weather that praline is fighting for its life and the scent is a smoky leather musk bomb! Now in cooler weather the praline becomes a little more pronounced and supported by the cacao, Cosmos becomes smoother, palatable and much more gourmand adjacent. Side note there are moments though where there is a scent of coriander or dill which could be the metallic part and it is confounding. This scent becomes a skin scent within an hour and the sillage is pretty intimate. It’s pretty masc leaning (if it matters to you). I honestly don’t love this scent on me alone it’s better layered with Infinitoud by HofBo (makes it a little more sexier), Reptile by Celine (grounds it a bit and gives lift) and Baccarat Rouge by MFK (fortifies the praline but cuts the sweetness of Baccarat). House of Bo makes their fragrances in a way where they are easy to layer with which begs to ask the questions; When will they make a fragrance that stands on it’s own or Why am I paying 200-400 a pop for a layering wardrobe? TL:DR The brand gives luxury but doesn’t always deliver on their scent promises Not a traditional gourmand despite the notes Masc leaning Concept feels original but the scent doesn’t feel special Sillage is poor and it turns to a skin scent quickly; but the skin scent is long lasting Off note that might be from the metallic accord that smells like coriander or dill Smells like leather>smoke>incense>musk>whiskey>hints of praline + cacao Smells better and closer to a traditional gourmand in colder weather. 200 usd for 40ml, for essentially a layering scent in this economy is diabolical Verdict: Despite what any influencer tells you, there is no need to run to get this fragrance you can definitely walk or crawl if you want to try it lol. Don’t buy blind, test in store, get a decant, or buy the HofBO discovery set. Learn from my mistakes scent besties.

I tried a tester and sprayed 2 little pumps on my bottom wrist. My partner said, "Whoa! That's strong." They were about 5 feet away from me. So, it PROJECTS really well. It smells like the incense used in a Catholic church to me. It's very smoky, no doubt about that. I had to wash it off after about 10 minutes because it's quite strong. I'm not saying it's unpleasant; it's actually quite beautiful. Also, it is more masculine-leaning, but I think a mysterious-type woman could wear this, too. In my opinion, you have to be VERY confident to wear this scent. This is for sure an evening or date-night fragrance. When I read that it had a "metallic" type of note, I was interested. After spraying, I would say it's the smell of freshly welded or freshly washed metal — if that makes any sense. Overall, it's interesting and unique.

This smells like a basic perfume in the Middle East but with a screetchy metallic not that unbalances the whole perfume. For the price, I would just stock up on a regular perfume from the ME as this was not a wow factor in any way. It lasts a tad bit but also has no projection on my skin type. I would say I've smelled wipes in Jordan that are scented smoother and project better.

Quite simply, it’s a metallic oud. I do enjoy the metallic note but not much a fan of oud. I’m glad I only sprayed a small bit of this on my wrist, as it’s one of those scents that would give me a massive headache. Not warm at all, very cold. I appreciate HoB’s attempt at doing something different, but this isn’t up my alley and not overly unique. I might have enjoyed it more had it been more metallic and less oud.

The fragrance is a strange metallic leather with a marine note. I purchased the discovery set; so, I have the small bottle. I would not find this one worth the money for a full bottle. I am giving this to my husband. I have almost every fragrance HoB has created and have only pulled the full bottle trigger on Ave Maria, which is stunning. Their marketing really draws one in.

The opening smells a bit like rose, but the drydown is metallic minerals, something like Ganymede combined with Legend Noir. Not what I was expecting at all.

Where are all those notes!!! I'm so disappointed. All I get is woody + a bit of leather. YMMV because my nose may be broke.

Right from the start, it leans more masculine to my nose — smoky, metallic, woody, and kind of mysterious. There’s a coolness to it that makes it feel distant, almost like clean steel or frosted glass. As it settles, it shifts between smelling like a classic aftershave and something a bit antiseptic or sterile. It’s not warm or cozy at all — more cold, sharp, and a little futuristic. I can totally appreciate how unique and bold the composition is, but personally, it’s just not for me. It’s the kind of scent I admire for its creativity rather than something I’d actually want to wear.

I have a sample of Cosmos and while I admire the artistry and vision behind the scent, it isn’t for me at all. To my nose, I smell only the smoky and metallic notes on my skin, not much of anything else. This lasts sooo loooong on me - I wish the perfumes I loved lasted this long lol! I sprayed Cosmos on my arm one evening around 7:30 pm and I could still smell it on my arm the next day while I was working out at 2:30pm. Somehow I still was able to smell remnants of it even after I showered (putting my nose to my skin this time though)!

This fragrance is definitely metallic and smoky, though I am not sure it is gourmand. This is what I would imagine a rare earth metal would smell like. I also get the notes of leather and oud. This fragrance is not for me, but would be great for a metallic perfume lover!

This is the second fragrance I've tried from this house and I'm going to start by saying this one is genuinely interesting to smell as it shifts and evolves. Unfortunately the leather note in the dry down ended up giving me a head ache which is the reason for the low rating. This starts with a smokey smell. This is a general smokiness and not a burnt wood smoke smell. I get regular whiffs of whiskey but it wasn't constant and not a scent I would describe as boozy. The leather is also a constant throughout. It started as a strong real leather scent which didn't immediately bring on a headache like other leather notes I've smelled before. I also pick up an oud scent in there from the agarwood. Unfortunately as I wore it, the leather started to settle into the leather scent that gives me headaches. This is masculine leaning and while I wouldn't have liked it for myself, I would have liked it for my husband if it wasn't for headache it ended up giving me. If you like smoky and leather scents, this is a must try. Unfortunately, as interesting as I found the experience, this isn't a fragrance for me. I've given this to my husband to wear on work days where I won't smell it.

This is my first negative review on fragrantica... I absolutely despise this scent. I’m not sure I can quite put my finger on it... the mix of metallic smokiness just makes my stomach turn. Like a burnt out camp fire where you were burning metal tin cans or rubber tires. Bleh. I’m so disappointed in this scent. I’m glad I only got a teensy tiny sample because this would not be a safe blind buy! I can’t scrub this off quickly enough.

Honestly this perfume and house sucks so much. Most of their online hype is from paid influencers. I ordered from them and the bottle arrived busted. They ignored all my customer service emails and wouldn't post my review showing the bottle defects. They really treated me like dirt, which is crazy for the price point. So go for it you want to risk $400 on a perfume whose reviews are totally faked.

This experience made the scent feel extra special, because Cosmos truly is one of a kind. From the very first spray, Cosmos feels like Christmas... but on fire. There’s something about the combination of praline, spice, and smoky charcoal that conjures the scent of a spiced holiday pastry that somehow got caught in orbit... cold, charred, and glittering against the blackness of space. The charcoal note here is unlike the typical “campfire smoke” that many gourmands use; this isn’t wood-burning warmth, it’s a crisp, metallic, mineral smoke that feels futuristic and almost galactic. The metallic accord opens sharp and bright, a little like frozen metal kissed by starlight... before softening into something smoky, spicy, and slightly sweet. You can pick up the whiskey and leather, adding depth and grit, while praline and cacao whisper underneath to remind you this is, after all, a gourmand at heart. That faintly festive vibe I get might be from the spices mingling with the caramelized praline, evoking that cozy, spicy sweetness that makes me think of Christmas baked goods cooling on a counter... if that counter happened to be aboard a spaceship. As it develops, the scent becomes smoother, rounder, and more dimensional. On my skin it leans really masculine, with the oud and smoky leather taking center stage, but the sweetness keeps it balanced. I can see this shining on someone who loves complex, atmospheric scents that walk the line between boozy gourmand and smoldering incense. Performance wise, this is a beast. And the presentation? Absolutely stunning. The cap genuinely looks like an iridescent meteor, this would without a doubt be one of the most striking bottles in any collection. Overall, Cosmos is a metallic gourmand with a cosmic twist: cold yet smoky, grounded yet otherworldly. It’s not a safe blind buy, but it’s absolutely worth sampling if you’re craving something that feels avant-garde and entirely new. Cosmos by House of Bo is a dark, sexy, and seductive scent that captures the essence of a mysterious astronaut's return to earth. Imagine him getting off his shuttle and before taking his gear off he walks into an old-fashioned bar, surrounded by wooden accents, oak barrels, and leather chairs, and orders a bourbon and grabs a Cuban cigar. He takes off his space helmet to reveal a man that could easily make the cover of a GQ magazine; complete with a chiseled jawline, 5 o'clock shadow, and piercing dark eyes. The scent is woody and alluring, with notes of resinous wood, warm spices, and a hint of smokiness. There's a touch of sweetness and booziness, like the lingering warmth of a fine bourbon. You can almost smell the old wood, cigar smoke, and metallic space scent from his space suit mingling together, creating a mysterious and captivating scent trail. It's a sophisticated, seductive scent that would be perfect for a night out or a special occasion. If you're looking for a fragrance that's a little dark, a little sexy, and a lot alluring, Cosmos might be just what you're looking for. 😉 Since Cosmos is best worn on a night out where you are trying to get some action 😏; and I am very much boring and only frequent the post office and grocery store, I layer Cosmos to make it more daytime PG appropriate. I loveee layering Cosmos with scents like C3line Black Tie. The deep, rich sexiness of Cosmos pairs soo well with the light, cozy sweetness of Black Tie. It layers so well with any sweet fluffy vanilla or milky scent like Biancolatte or Blanche Bete. But omg I would die if I smelled Cosmos on a man orrr a woman in a slinky black dress with a leather jacket. 🤤😍

I received a sample gratis from the brand for my honest opinion.I have loved everything else I've smelled from the brand. My favorite is Casa Blanca, which I own. However, this one is a no go! I sprayed it yesterday around 5 p.m.. NONE of the sweetness or spice comes out on me. My skin usually reads spice well. This is super smoky, but not incense smoke -- overpowering chimney ash smoke. 😪 I wanted to either spray something to sweeten it up or wash it off, but I committed to giving it a fair chance. I hoped it would do like Nightclubbing from Celine -- start out chimney smoke but blossoms into a beautiful signature worthy scent. But nooo, this becomes a little leathery and hella masculine. I typically like scents that lean slightly masc, but this is cold, masculine, and smells literally like what I imagine "the cosmos" may smell like. It's not "mettalic" like Ganymede. It's ashy and dusty like how I imagine moon dust smells. It dies down to a musk that lasts a good 12 hours. Not a comforting musk though. More of an Erba Pura musk without the fruit. It gets a 10/10 for projection and longevity, but that's it. I think it'll read well on a man going to a night event such as a Speak Easy or dimly lit restaurant for date night. But it's a hard no for me. I'm giving the rest of this sample to my (ex) husband. Not unisex at all. Masculine 100% and not in a "I want to devour you" way.

“The Cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be.” Cosmos by House of Bo is a constellation of curiosity and mystery. It’s a fragrance of balance between light and dark spaces. Each layer unfurling something beautiful cohabitating with the unusual. Notes of praline and whiskey merge with metallic musk in the opening to reveal something verging on mystical. At the heart, dragons blood incense and cacao intertwine with dark as night charcoal to create an interstellar bond of femininity and masculinity. The base notes reveal a smoked leather and oud dripping stardust made from the rhizome of the Iris. Despite the metallic elements, Cosmos, is warmth. Cosmos is the fragrance Zeus would wear if he looked like Bill Skarsgard, shopped at Rick Owens, indulged in sex rituals after taking you for dinner at Carbone. His favorite song is Rosemary by The Deftones. He would stop texting you in favor of you being able to engage in mutual telepathy. Every touch of his fingertips feels euphoric, he turns you into a star and when the yearning becomes so unbearable you become a supernova. Would I wear this? Sure. Would I risk it all for a man who wears this? Absolutely. I graciously received my sample of Cosmos from the best fragrance group in the universe, Scented Sanctuary. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to experience this fragrance.

This one has been on my list to try for quite some time and thanks to the The Scent Lounge (give them an follow on all platforms) and their relationship with the brand, 50+ of us were able to get a free sample in exchange for an honest review. And believe me when I tell you, I was ready to be a harsh critic. Surprisingly, this is an absolute love for me! I typically shy away from incense, leather and anything metallic. But this is such a well blended and balanced fragrance. The projection from just a few sprays filled my living room immediately. Both my husband and I did a skin test and we both agree that this leans more masculine but can be worn by either. It’s actually very dark, resinous, sexy and demands attention. It’s cozy and familiar but also very unique. We’re going on hour four with the scent on our skin and the drydown is smooth and still projecting. Think of the following scents all blended together and that will give you an idea of what Cosmos feels like; Satin Mood Grand Soir Velvet Smoke (Sweet Alchemy Body Oils) 21:50 Reverie I have it on with 22 Orris and they pair so well and start to lean a little more creamy and feminine. This is definitely full bottle worthy. Typically HoB is a pass for me, but this one seems to have the depth and longevity that this house has always lacked in my opinion.

Cosmos by Bo is a remarkably deep scent that successfully leans into the curent trend for modern futuristic accords. The complex blend of metal, wood, and leather is enhanced with a variety of resinous and aromatic nuances, with the entire melange then leavened with an appropriate amount of gourmand sweetness, ...but only enough to add pleasurably seductive counterpoint to the harder and more complex notes. This is in no way an overdone sugarbomb. Yes, this cosmic odyssey is indeed a lot to wear or experience, but certain breeds of sophisticatedly esoteric maximalists will doubtlessly find much to be intrigued about here. Also, as with most Bo caps, this Cosmos cap is a beautiful, mineralogical objet d'art. It is described as being made of a metallic volcanic stone, so perhaps an artistically anodized piece of basalt, or something similar, ...yet the overall effect is also quite similar to pyrite. Actually, there are two versions of the Cosmos cap . • The standard edition metallic (anodized) basalt cap and • A limited edition Gold Star Mine quartz cap, which is a form of rutilated quartz.

This immediately reminded me of "Oud For Greatness" but lighter with Metallic notes and a cooling effect, Some leather and smokiness..It's interesting, But I wasn't wowed by it. Then I went outside and when the cold brisk wind hit my hand it "activated" it and I was surprised how it seemed to enhance it and it was strong. After about 15min I start getting some of the chocolate/praline notes & it was nice. I think this is ultimately a better blended, more unique, more wearable, much lighter "Oud For Greatness" and it is very masculine and mysterious smelling. Am I willing to purchase a bottle though? I'm not sure quite yet. I'll have to continue testing this out some more.

This reminds me of something I've smelled before - I want to say it's Nichend Kepler or maybe something else from that house, but this is a smoker version. This definitely smells niche. I get a sweet smokey woody fragrance. From looking at the notes - the ones that make sense with what I'm smelling are: musk, praline, orris, argarwood, smoke, coal, dragons blood resin. Even though this is familiar to me - (maybe it's similar to something I've smelled from Hexennacht?) - this is still pretty unique overall. Personally this isn't for me, but it doesn't smell bad. I think it would be great to wear on a cold bon-fire night, drinking beers by the fire. Unisex, androgynous.

I must have been having an off day or something! I was excited to wear this because the opening initially reminded me of Oud For Greatness, as others have mentioned. But halfway through, the scent became overwhelming. It was strange how dark it turned, suddenly smelling like cement mix and other sharp metallic notes. It was just too much, and thankfully I was home so I could jump in the shower and wash it all off. I have a lot of fragrances at home (too many in fact). I’ll come back to this one after taking a day or two off from all my fragrances to reset my sense of smell. I’m hoping to give it another try and have a better experience the second time.

I received a sample through a collab with The Scent Lounge and House of Bo. First sniff I get an uplifting metallic but smoky slightly pine-esque smell. In the dry down the notes soften but doesnt change much and retains a vibrant metallic, slightly smoky Orris vibe. I dont get a campfire smoke but more like a cold smoke that keeps this bright or sharp but not in a bad way. There's a crispness but warmth at the same time and would be a great date night fragrance in the fall/winter. You definitely don't need alot of sprays. It leans masculine in my opinion and something I would definitely love to smell on my husband.

Initial impressions: Masculine leaning, harsh leather or burnt wood on first spray but sweeter as it dries down. Seems well blended. I can pick up the mineral notes a bit on paper, giving a bit of an effervescent effect but this didn’t translate to my skin. Mostly I get the leather, the wood, the smoke with a slight sweetness from the praline. I can’t really pick out the cocoa or whiskey notes. This is not a profile I would enjoy wearing. However, if this sounds up your alley, this fragrance is extremely potent and long lasting. It lingered on skin through multiple washes.

Considering there are many notes in this that I do not usually like, this is pretty gorgeous. I only tried it because it came with other house of Bo samples I wanted and while I would not purchase or wear this scent, I must give credit for how masterful I feel it is. It is too smoky and masculine for me but I can appreciate how beautiful it is, I could imagine smelling it on a man. It smells like what I imagine outer space could smell like as a perfume, and truly captures this sort of cold, rocky sort of feeling that’s still ethereal and smooth and clean.

Just got my sample and I was really hesitant based on some of the reviews ive seen especially because im not a fan of metalic notes. But to my surprise i actually really like this one. I get the essence of a metallic note but not the metallic note itself , if that makes sense. Its more of a boozy cacao smokey scent. This is so elegant and well done! I would say it leans more masculine but it still can very much be unisex.

First thought, LOVE. Unfortunately it leans too masculine for my preference, but I'd love this on my husband. The metallic note gives it a cooling effect. Yet it's smokey, leathery, and resinous with a touch of sweetness. Besides sweetness, none of those notes are usually something I enjoy. But they are done soo well here. And it is POTENT. Definitely worth trying, especially for anyone who likes unisex/masculine scents.

As Diezel reviewed, very much in the same olfactory DNA as PDM Haltane, but leans a bit more boozy and slight turn into the smokey/incense dna. Starts to taper off after 3/4 hours for me, but becomes a really mature intimate scent. It's closing subtlety smells mature. Definitely a cooler weather scent. Great choice for me since I have always been drawn to Haltane.

I also received a sample though the Scent Lounge. House of Bo is one of my favorite fragrance houses, but I will preface by saying I am very floral in my taste and overall dislike oud. This is definitely very masculine leaning, and I imagine it to be suited for a more mature man. All I smell is metal, leather and oud. It was a no for me.

Let me start by saying the House of Bo aesthetic is a work of art - as are the fragrances. I sprayed this on my arm to test and several hours later I keep getting a beautiful scent wafting by when I move. Sexy and elegant but also gives a cool girl vibe. This might be my favorite of the house.

This definitely leans masculine. Smells metallic and rugged, like gasoline. There’s the faintest bit of praline lingering in the back if you smell hard enough. It’s very strong and really sticks, I had a difficult time washing it off my hands. Reminds me of Dior Fahrenheit.

It looks intriguing for sure, But prices are out of touch for most people. I am curious to smell this but not paying $200 for 40mls curious. Houses like these need to realize that they need an affordable 10ml or 5ml option so people can test it before they make a splurge.
