I've only had the chance to smell Cedars of Lebanon oil once so when I heard Ghazal by HoM would feature this scent I was intrigued to try it. The scent profile of Cedars of Lebanon is very distinct and has subtleties that can easily be ruined or overshadowed by other oils. However, Christi Meshell managed to let all of the beauties of Cedars of Lebanon shine in Ghazal. The perfume has a lightness and subtle beauty that makes it wonderful with layers upon layers of deep woods and the alluring scent of genuine ambergris. I'm sure this one will age beautifully for years to come. A collectors item for sure!

The feeling of having put your nose on a freshly sawn piece of cedar. Really. Accompanied by a very light ambergris background that gives a real impression of something natural, and quality. 100% photorealistic (or scentorealistic) and straight to the point. A trip. Very enjoyable.

Amazing. There are so many cedar-heavy green-woody-amber-incense scents out there and this one knocked my socks off with it’s rich detail, the perceivable high quality of it’s materials (cedar of lebanon), and the beautifully judged balance of sweet green notes against jet black resin and incense. This sample came with the two full bottles I purchased and I actually love this one now most of all. If you are familiar with H.O.M., it takes the best of Bonsai and mates it with the best of Devotion for a whole that surpasses both. 5 out of 5.
