Boss Bottled Tonic On The Go Spray

After running out of the glass bottle version I picked up a bottle of this for £20 by accident thinking it was the usual bottle edt...I almost took it back when I realised my mistake - but gave it a go anyway. It’s certainly not a deodorant type spray as its easily as strong as the glass bottle type which I just ran out of and it really pours out under a bit of pressure so you have to be quick on the trigger. You’ll be rewarded with a juice slightly fresher and way more minty than the usual ‘Tonic’, still with the Boss tonka base note and really just smells great. Great sillage actually. I sprayed my usual amount on at 8am when I got to work, then got a compliment from someone 9hrs later as it was still performing nicely. I do a bit of heavy lifting throughout the day and it definitely wakes up when you warm up. I believe the the thing that will put people off is the lightweight bottle it comes in - but I’m guessing it’s designed to be carried around in a bag with you all day and will take a bit of abuse. It genuinely performs as well as the nice heavy glass bottle variant, so if you can find it for a good price - just go for it!

Smells like Pierre Cardin Legend Edc with a hint of Boss Bottled. So, very synthetic but not all bad. Seems to be less fresh and refined than the regular edt version of Bottled Tonic and is labeled as Fresh EDT. The bottle itself looks good and is very very light. Distribution is somewhere between a Dior atomizer and a deo spray bottle.

I’m not going to bash this fragrance, I’ll just say that it’s not for me, not my style. I’ve yet to find a ginger frag that is done in a way that is pleasing to my senses. They all lack depth/ backbone. Edit: ysl L’Homme is pretty good. I get Zero similarly to the OG. This is pretty generic.

So basically Hugo Boss is releasing 3 of their iconic scents in a deodorant-like spray bottle without the deodorizing/antiperspirant effect: Boss Bottled, Hugo, & Boss Bottled Tonic. I have to admit that the last one is not as iconic as the other two. I would've preferred Boss Orange or Boss in Motion or even Hugo Just Different. This is a release in the footstep of Dior's Sauvage Very Cool Spray. Neat idea. Initially I thought it was weird & uncesessary but Sauvage Very Cool Spray was a success, so a I guess that proves there is a market for these kind of sprays. Will wait & see.
