Hugo Iced

Just goes to show that you should never right off a designer/perfumer/brand whatever because you can always be pleasantly surprised. I think the fact that this is a flanker to a fragrance I wore during the late 90’s and had a bottle of until recently because I still kinda enjoyed the scent, but was the original HUGO really a good fragrance or was I just caught up in the nostalgia? Anyways, after going off it this Iced version didn’t really offer much if it was either generic crap or a tweaked version of the original, gladly it’s very interesting. The opening is green, I get basil actually, certainly mint, juniper and bitter orange for sure and a tea a little like bvlgari, with a vetiver background. This is a very impressive opening with nothing of those, generic modern accords, molecules or anything folks could describe as synthetic. Iced is a good name for it too, the freshness of the mint and greens make it superbly fresh. Then when settled it becomes extremely familiar and for me completely changes about as much as it could do, and resembles Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche which I know is a lemony, vanilla musk thing but it also has a kind of soft woody, powdery smell which is quite warm and even hints cashmerean or something like that. In the deeper drydown you can get another change but my point about this fragrance is that it’s excellent, transitions through several states and notes giving a genuinely refreshing ‘Iced’ experience without the usual cliches and it lasts well. I’m getting a bottle.

A really nice warm weather minty scent. There's almost like a cooling aspect to it. If you're listening to content creators on YouTube and think you can only spray three times, you're not going to get any life out of this. But if you spray appropriately there's no reason you can't get 7 hours out of it easy. No matter how much you spray though, I do think it sits kind of close. But I don't hate that. For me it's a great work scent. I'm sure it works in the office, but I mean for my work. I'm in and out of my work truck all day, and spend a lot of time outside. On a hot day, this is great. I get that cooling minty smell throughout my day. And just as I think it's gone, I catch a brief smell again. It's kind of rejuvenating.

Best in the super hot weather. Mint-citrus-tea. A very cooling fragrance that I spray liberally all day long. The performance isn't bad, but the top notes are so nice so it's worth respraying just for the pleasure of it. The base notes are simple and fresh, and it retains a lot of the fresh iced tea feel for hours. I spent $25 for a 75mL bottle last year at a rack store and used 2/3 of it in one year. I just found a backup bottle for the same price and snatched it up. It's not a fragrance that I want to ration. I just love to spray a ton on the hottest days. Love

This is Basic a Mojito package as a Cologne ! I feel a very nice mint, and the juniper and orange to me sounds more like rum and lime ! Loved the scent ! And also feels really cool when sprays right after the shower. For extra performance and experience I keep the bottle inside the fridge ! Sadly it doesn't last long as I would like ! But is overall and amazing piece ! Uniqueness: 7/10 Projection: 9/10 (it irradiates well after sprayed) Sillage: 4/10 it doesn't last long Naturallity of the scent: 9/10 (smells just like a mojito) Minty heaven for the summer !

Minty fresh, citrus clean with a wonderful bright opening. Perfect scent for daytime wear especially in spring and summer. Upon dry down the vetiver steps forward to an earthy, more masculine note. Completely inoffensive fragrance that is a great choice for gym or office wear. Projection and silage are moderate at best so this is more for the wearer than those in average proximity. Price is terrific since this is now often found on discount racks. Highly recommended as casual choice for a warm, sunny day of running errands.

This smells similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but with Mint instead of Orange (and doesn't last as long). The mint in the opening smells like a natural mint leaf and I love it, however it disappears quicky and you're left with the woody base as a skin scent within an hour. The problem is that the opening is addictive, so you want to reapply it, but all it does is intensify the woody base which becomes overpowering. If they could tone down the base and increase the longevity of the opening, it would be one of my favourites.

Such a good mint fragrance. It smells like rubbing fresh natural mint leaves between your hands while holding a cup of black tea. The subtle smell of orange peel in the background brings it all together. It's an addictive, fresh and comforting mix. I just wish this projected further as it becomes a skin scent within a couple of hours - that said, you will still get wafts of it for most of the day, even if no one else will.

Green fresh mint with some citrus and clean wood base. Like a sour mojito, a little bit synthetic. It will not blow your mind but works really good for summer with a cooling sensation when you spray it. As all Hugo Boss fragrance this has a bad performance of my skin. Longevity around 5-6 hours and close to skin sillage. It's good if you find on cheap price.

This one closely resembles Hugo Reversed in the opening which is minty green bitter orange that is very crisp, fresh and uplifting. I don't get any synthetic type notes but a rather very natural and genuinely refreshing ‘ice cool’ feel. The mint remains right through to the earthy/woody dry down. This is a mass appealing fragrance and blind buy worthy.

3.73 rating is too low for this fragrance. The smell is not unique but better than Versace Man Eau Fraiche in my opinion. Very simple fragrance. Sometimes simple smelling fragrance wins the day and satisfies us. I'm 37 years old guy and when I wear this, it brings out the youth in me..... 8.5/10

I have the 1st batch back in 2017... Yes it was silver bottle one not sure what they have done with it now.. I'm pretty happy with the Scent profile it's so uncommon ice mint added on to the bitter orange DNA of huge boss! Performance is also good.. Best for summer!

A nice surprise from Hugo Boss, an amazing new release that stands out and has a quality to it, as "simple fresh naturally smelling scent". It is a Very clean and fresh Orange flowery scent, has an absolutely amazing longevity, finally. Easily can be unisex.

at first doesent smell that great, but after 5 minutes, is really good smell clean perfect for after the shower or the gym, or stay home, is not gonna get attention of=r something like that, is just a perfume for yourself, and your couple, to stay cozy

Something about this reminds me of Armani Code Sport Athlete. Not the scent in general but there are some elements in this frag that bring me back to Armani Athlete. Both are very good and perfect summerscents. They have that in common as well :)

Wow this is almost a Heeley Menthe Fraiche clone. The mint and the tea give that heeley vibe. Very good!! Now i can buy a fragrance which smells like heeley menthe fraiche and save much money. Great. Performance on both are a bit below average

Smells like mint tea but in good way. Very nice and fresh - suits in every situations. So far the best Hugo. Moderate sillage and longevity. 9/10

Does anyone know if this and the Hugo Iced that's in the cocktail shaker style bottle are the same thing?

This is a great gym scent, lasts pretty well and sits on men's skin flawlessly.
