Limone di Sicilia

Wow, it's a gorgeous lemony/lime citrus! I love it, it's super sweet and tart, refreshing! Lovely. And there's a lovely depth of woodiness, that makes it smooth and comforting, and not too heady. It lasts for 8 hours, and it's very, sort of thrilling in a way. It gives me a real buzz, but also soothes me. I really enjoy it, and I've received lots of compliments! It's very refreshing and elegant. Terrific. And I love the bottle, and its lovely label.

I've long been meaning to try something from I Profumi di Firenze and so this was my choice. Time spent in Italy (including Sicily) has left me with an increased enthusiasm for Italian perfume houses to add to a long held love of Bvlgari. Limone di Sicilia opens with a blast of lemon that reminds me immediately of Guerlain's Eau de Fleurs du Cedrat. The accord that supports it seems to be a mixture of lime, bergamot and grapefruit at first but it gradually changes to lemon verbena over time. I know that's not in the notes here but I'd swear by it. About 30 minutes in you get some woody notes and green notes in the background. I have a feeling there may be some sage in there - certainly I would describe the green notes as more inclined to the herby side of green. One hour in and Limone di Sicilia has turned to a skin scent and the lemon verbena is more prominent and I think there is a hint of orange blossom in there too. The general feeling is a lemon based perfume with supporting green undertones. It stays like this for the next for the next four hours. Then it begins to fade. It vanishes somewhere between eight and nine hours after application. This is a delight as a very realistic lemon which lasts a very long time. There's some beautiful blending going on here and excellent quality. It has enough brightness and strength to work all year round.

Another fragrance that reminds me of “Limoncello” my favorite aperitif, the fragrance is a little bit linear however it is highly addictive in the heat of summer you want to shower in it, lemons galore with a hint of sweetness to balance things out also very affordable and i must admit the DNA of the brand is quite interesting as well i had to add this scent to my collection. 8/10.

Lemon,lemon,lemon! That's all I get from Limone di Sicilia.Maybe in the drydown there is a little bit of powder which gives it a slightly old-fashioned feeling. If you are not afraid of long lasting,tart lemon,this is for you.The only other perfume that is equally lemony is Monsieur Balmain in my opinion. P.S: My bottle is approximately 4 years old.I have no idea whether this has been reformulated due to IFRA.

This is not a clean, innocent lemon fragrance. There is a skanky note I like, maybe it's civet or maybe it is just a hint of pine and saltiness. I think I detect verbena in the mix as well.
