Cologne à l'Italienne

AWESOME! Arrived today with 12 other blind buys! Pretty much spot on - AWESOME pungent sweet Lemon with a slight fresh green kick and Iris and Neroli peeping through, thats about it!!. Reeks of quality. Pretty straight forward, great for brightening up the day. More straight forward than Dior Eau Sauvage (a fave) - smells a bit like its from the 70's. I can dig it - even for work - a traditional fougere that passes in todays world. Great silage and 4-8 hours longevity. After an hour its still beyond an arms length with the florals peeking through more. If you love citrus and you want quality this is it. Great alternative in the vein of Houbigant Duc De Verveins L'Extreme and Eau Sauvage.

A top shelf citrus-herbal cologne, with a natural lemon opening, more green than sweet. Middle still features citrus notes but now combined with rosemary and lavender. Lovely in warmer weather and completely unisex. Dries down to a skin scent in less than two hours, but that’s what I expect with cologne strength. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quality citrus based scent with some oomph.

The zingiest, more vibrant and vivid of the trio, the Italienne variation is the most energetic and active one (Italian in a way). The same crisp citrus on top, followed by the same herbs in the heart and the soft drydown. Very similar to the Française. The herbs (lavender et al.) and perhaps some other elements comprising the basic accord have been slightly toned down here making the crisp citrus top even crisper and livelier. The only other differences is some extra petitgrain making it greener and some orange flower giving a deeper, sweeter vibe from the Française. In all, a slightly different tuning of the structure Bourdon used for making the three colognes with some extra, basic cologne elements added. Remember to use it as cologne and you won't go unsatisfied.

there were things i liked about this scent & things i didn't love the top & heart are excellent top is fresh, citrus, orange, lemon, and gets limier as it dries additionally for the first 10-20 mins i got powdery notes which were also nice the heart stays pretty linear for hours ... but the final dry down after hour 4 or 5 .. has a black licorice - anise note which stops me from loving it otherwise it's great i used 2 sprays from a sample and got medium projection for the first hour and then it became a skin scent for several hours
