Cologne à la Française

All colognes of Institut Très Bien are great, all made with excellent craftsmanship and top quality materials by the great Pierre Bourdon and all are remarkably to the point. To use as refreshments. The Française variation is the more elegant (French in a way), evenly balanced and more floral than the others with a salutary, brisk magnolia note in the heart. It jump-starts with a transparent bracing citrus symphonia on top (citron, bergamot, lemon etc.) and continues with Provencal herbs (lavender, rosemary) to a soft powdery ambery drydown. Fresh and sophisticated, stick to the philosophy of using a cologne and you will be delighted every time you splash it on.

This is Absolutely Incredible! I have never been a huge fan of citrus fragrance/colognes, but this is so excellently crafted with high quality natural smelling notes. So many people talk about Eau de Guerlain as one of the best colognes; this fragrance takes that to the next level by adding beautiful floral notes (magnolia, not listed in Fragrantica notes) And it lasts ALL DAY, rare for a citrus cologne. Thank goodness I read Luca Turin's review and Luckyscent started selling this, otherwise I would probably not have given this a second thought, but I am SO glad I did! It is now my go-to fragrance all summer long!
