Silver Scent Aqua

So I have several fragrances by Jacques Bogart. And in short conclusion, I can say that in order to like Bogart's style of perfumery, you have to like vintage / retro style first. And yes, even for this 2024 "modern-aqua-branded". Here's why: Overall, this Silver Scent Aqua has this strong classic mossy gentlemenly style. Open up with citruses bomb sharp freshness, with only a bit touch of "modern" aquatic scent, and a bit "modern" fruity sweetness, then it quickly transitioned into this aromatic classic green gentlemenly mossy with barbershopy lavender in the middle. And as it dried down, while it still beautifully maintains its hint of feshness, it stands out with its confidently gentlemenly style with this notes like orange blossom mossy ambery. So, while this as freshness and aquatic nowadays perfumery touch, it's still being consistenly retro scent without giving us a feeling of being too old or oudated. Last, without question, Bogart always has great performance, even for this blue aquatic summery release. And yes I think whis can be worn in early spring to mid fall.

The opening in this fragrance comes out in a fresh citrusy scent, then it dies down into a very calm sweet scent. It is very good for summer and day. This is very cheap and is definetly good for its price. If u want a fresh sweet cologne then silver scent aqua is the pick for u. Scent: 8/10 Longevity:7/10 Siliage:8/10 Price:9/10

I love this! It is cheap, versatile, mass-appealing, and performs very well. So, if you're still buying Nautica Voyage when this is on the market THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU!

I really like all the fragrances in Jacques Bogart's 'Silver Scent' range, but this new Silver Scent Aqua is definitely my favourite from the range, I love fresh scents and this has a very pleasant and prominent aquatic fresh clean scent and it smells so nice on my skin. Fresh is such a neutral scent so it's suitable for both men and women and this fragrance is very much a unisex fragrance. It's also a versatile fragrance, although it smells very fresh and summery, but you can wear it all year round, and you can wear it during the day or night and you can wear it daily, it really doesn't matter. Chemist Warehouse is selling this for about $49.99 for a 100ml, so it's also quite affordable. Overall this is a great affordable unisex fragrance that I would wear myself, this has become my favourite fragrance from Jacques Bogart.

This is confusing, still not quite sure what to think about it. The Silver Scent DNA is unmistakably here. If I had to put it into context, it's 40% Silver Scent, 30% Allure homme Sport, 15% Nautica Voyage and 15% original creation. I have Rasasi Sotoor Taa which is very close to Gucci Guilty, and that for me is a far better and closer Gucci Guilty inspiration. I wouldn't buy this expecting Gucci Guilty inspired, I feel you'd be disappointed if you did. Saying that it's not bad, I get Lavender and Orange blossom infused with the Marine notes, the violet is not prominent but does give a little powdery texture to the marine theme. Nowhere could I detect Suede. Has some legs and lasts around 9 hours on skin. When it get's warmer will likely last longer. At this point I'd give it a 6/10. Might get better with time...

Being a fan of the original Silver Scent I had decided to return to the line after remembering how cheap the line was and boy I feel like I hit the jackpot for cheap fragrances that punch way above their weight. Silver Scent Platinum is now my forever cheapie autumn/winter scent and Aqua is my spring/summer. EDP concentrate for both of them, while not the best performing you can not complain for the price. Aqua is a very clean scent that feels like freshly washed clothes and bed linen. A must try in the line

Ahhhh.. now, this is a MAN’S blue fragrance. Finally something that is not overloaded with cheap ambroxan to appeal to noobs. Yes, this is a fragrance for people who know what fragrance is. This gives me a similar vibe to Davidoff Coolwater or Dunhill desire blue. I’m not saying that it is a clone of either of those, but it has that kind of general laid-back style with a scent that just rings similar in part. I don’t get a lot of purple soda, but it does seem to be there in the background somewhere.

Originally this was a positive review but my opinions have changed heaps since i have been wearing this more often. The opening is nice, but once it dries down the aquatic/ozonic notes completely fade away and it becomes sickly sweet and cloying. I cannot stress this enough: this is NOT an aromatic fragrance and imo it is way too sweet for hot days. Others around you will probably enjoy this but its too overwhelming for me. 4/10

Can't explain why but it's the driest smelling blue fragrance I've encountered. If Fahrenheit is Heat Miser, SS Aqua is Snow Miser. They're total opposites but both strike me as very dry scents with nothing juicy or sweet about either. SS-A does somewhat resemble Sculpture Nikos, except it isn't sweet. That's all I've got.

Not bad, but you gotta have a good relationship with Calone to stand it. If you know Calone goes bad rotten eggs on your skin, keep away from this Aquatic. Update 03/2026: It has improved with time. Calone is less prominent to me now, while still there sure. Good one, test it if you can.

Another banger from Jacques bogart. Smells virtually the same as Gucci guilty and performs way better. This is also an EDP. SS Aqua and Pure are two of the best bang for buck fresh fragrances IMO. Edit: it had a sticker with Eau De Parfum and all the rest but when you peel it off it has Eau De Toillete engraved on the bottle 😂

Not too overwhelming, nothing complex involved. If you want a fresh marine fragrance, cop this for $50 AUD at Chemist Warehouse. The melon note is somewhat unique and enjoyable. Has a soapy, fruity opening.

I heard a lot of good things about Silver Scent line and I had high hopes. Every review said it's not a blind buy safe but I went ahead and got one. Well disappointed. Maybe I got a bad apple or something but It smells extremely like a bitter bar soap and is nauseating. I had to take off my shirt just not to barf. Not pleasant at all👎

I'm not a fan of the original Silver Scent/Diesel Plus Plus indisputably "purple" DNA. However, with that said, the designers behind Jacque Bogart finally got it right with the Aqua flanker. The "purple" DNA is present in SS Aqua, but there is an addition to the composition that is restraining it from being overwhelming like the original. It's sweet, alright... but there's a warm, creamy spice (violet and a phantom nutmeg?) that keep it masculine. That oldschool feel is still lurking around in the background like Silver Scent and its brethren. I'm not really getting anything that reads "aqua" or "freshie" or "blue"... and I definitely do not detect any melon. Just the signature "purple" Silver Scent DNA with a creamy ( almost powdery ) spicy aspect to it. This is my favorite out of the Silver Scent line. EDIT: Ohhhhkay! I am getting the Gucci Guilty comparison... this isn't a 1-for-1 but damn close enough.

75% Nautica Voyage, (just substitute the cucumber with melon).. and add 25% Hawas, that's this... Decent in that category, and lasts quite a while. Actually reminds me somewhat of Jimmy Choo man Intense, with the aquatic melon combo. After having it for a couple weeks, and testing for several days, this is really growing on me. Performance is quite good, and the drydown is a little more unique than most other aquatic scents.

Manly melon, this is what it is. Lacking in the performance department tho. I feel like this is an optimal scent for a quick beach escapade where the salty water touches your skin, playing some volleyball in the water or something. But if you are looking for a good performer this ain't it imo unless you find something to layer it with perhaps, bringing more of each fragrance.
