Fleurs d'Ombre/Jasmin Lilas

So funny how people react differently to the same scent. Most people here say this is a straigh out Lily of the valley but I only get some of that in the dry down. I get a super beautiful white flower bouqete with lilacs being the dominant note almost the only note. Its a gourgeous beautiful blended white flower scent with some backbone from the musk. I dont get any of the fruits at all which Im happy about and the musk is so toned down you hardly get that except it brings some depth and roundness to the dry down. For me this is super feminine and fresh but not fresh in the meaning it dissapears fast. In my opinion this is a a dupe (maybe not a dupe if this was made first. I have no idea but they are very similar) for Aerins lilac path which is the reason I bought this in the first place. So now I found a more afordable option that gives me the exact beautiful gourgeous feminine scent. Obviously you can wear whatever you want whenever you want but I think this will bloom the best in spring, summer and early fall season. Could be an evening scent due to some of the depth the musk gives. Im so grateful I found this and i will get a back up bottle soon!

Very strange that they named this Jasmin Lilas as it is neither. It is a Lily of the Valley scent. It has both notes in the name early in the wear, but on me turns into a LOTV soliflore on the dry down. Despite my initial disappointment I still like it as it is a beautiful perfume. I just wasn't looking for another LOTV scent. I must say that the LOTV is the most natural I've ever smelled. There is no LOTV scent that I have smelled to date that captures that exact scent, but this does. Soft, creamy, and sweet and not excessively green. Smells exactly the same as the bouquets I bring into my house when they are in bloom. It is really pretty. I shouldn't be surprised by how good it smells considering it is a Pierre Bourdon creation. That is what tempted me to buy it in the first place. I just should have done better research before I did. Oh well, looks like I now have another LOTV scent to wear. Thank goodness I really like this a lot.😊

Lovely lilacs 🤍 Rather than Jasmin I really smell the lilacs here. I don’t know what lily of the valley smells like though. And there’s something tangy sweet about it, as if there’s supple green in the bouquet that’s fresh and watery. Refreshing, would be nice for spring (even though I’m wearing it in the fall now). For a fresher perfume it’s staying power is pretty good I would say. When it dries down it becomes a little bit musky in the best way. I really love lilacs, which I discovered after buying a “lilacs” hand soap from bath & body works some time ago. But this perfume is way more elegant and natural compared to that soap of course. 🪻

It must be the musk, because I get a bit of an animal undertone from this one! I normally don't like that in my scents, but in this case I feel it 'grounds' the perfume, if that makes sense. It really is a realistic lily of the valley, but I don't think it's a soliflore, in part due to the muskiness but also because it's just the slightest bit soapy. I definitely think it can be worn later in the day, especially on a breezy summer evening. The bottle is beautiful, it reminds me of Lalique. If that's something you care about, of course.

A perfect definition of white flower bouquet. I am madly in love with this one ! My best ever fresh white flower scent ! All I can smell on my skin are green notes, lilac, a very prominent jasmine, lily of the valley, and musk. Very fresh, light and beautiful. But surprisingly enough, I found that the opening phase is a lil bit similar to air freshener from Glade (the spring jasmine one). Don't worry, the middle and base notes are different from that air freshener. Oh whatever, I love this one to the bone.

This is gorgeous! I wasn't familiar with this house and was gifted this sample by a lovely forum member in a swap. The lilac and lily of the valley are equal partners in this beautiful springtime composition. Romantic, elegant, and yet humble enough to be work-appropriate. Worthy of a full bottle purchase.

This is just beautiful! It's the most realistic fresh lilac I have tried, and I have tried many - GORGEOUS!

Are you a fan of niche perfumes 4 a good price? A fan of niche scents by Frederic Malle (Iris Poudre!!!!!!!) ? Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois ? or Gianfranco Ferre Ferre eau de parfume? MDCI Parfums ? Dior Dolce Vita ? Yes, all of these perfumes are made by the nose Pierre Bourdon, who also has created this precious perfume. How come that all of you lovely fragrantica-members haven't noticed this precious green gem? I can safely say: Go buy this unsniffed - if you want a perfect niche summer/spring lily-of-the-valley scent for an ***amzingly good price*** !!! I'm really confused about me beeing the first to review this, as it came a long perfume-time ago (2006) :O ?!! Oh, and d`Ombre-bottles are the most beautiful bottles one can own. Sheer perfection.

Although lilac is mentioned in its name, the two main players are actually jasmine and lily of the valley. Jasmine forward fragrance are sometimes a bit challenging, often indolic, but this Pierre Bourdon’s creation, which was first released in 2006, is fresh, green, with a soapy and powdery nuance. The base is musky and slightly sweet from nectarine. Fleurs d’Ombre series are easily recognized by their beautiful, ornate bottle with frosted details and round cap.

I agree with @AnaMandy. This turns straight to a LOTV soliflore on me as well. I get the melon, green leaves at first but those quickly fade to reveal a LOTV. Very potent and strong only a little is needed for massive projection. Amazing what quality of fragrance you can get for very little money. You have to like LOTV to enjoy this. I get shades of Aerin Lauder Lilac Path but very little, the lilac is not the stand out here. Lily of the Valley is.

Update+Add: This one smells exactly like the REAL lily-of-the-valley-flowers we get in spring here in Sweden! I've tried out many, many, manyyy lily-of-the-valley-scents. But NO ONE smells like the real thing!! THIS DOES!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I want to like Jean-Charles Brosseau JASMIN-LILAS, I find the opening very difficult to endure. The lily-of-the-valley rendition used here is unfortunately the same as or similar to the one featured in Coty's ghastly reformulated MUGUET DES BOIS, which to me smells like paint thinner. Here, the lily of the valley note is tempered quite a bit in the drydown by the strong jasmine note, but there is always the lingering memory of paint thinner-cum-lighter fluid which I find somewhat problematic and even annoying. The opening couple of minutes are really hard to bear, and I find myself basically holding my breath to survive. However, the fragrance never delivers enough niceness to warrant the wait, it seems to me. Perhaps this composition would work better in hot weather, applied outside, so that the solvent-y aspect could evaporate quickly away, giving a swifter development to the drydown and diminishing the waiting period for a decent perfume to emerge. I'll try again when summer arrives. The jasmine is very nice, but all things considered, I'd rather wear a strong jasmine fragrance without this particular lily-of-the-valley note, which to me is not pleasant at all. I love the bottle and even the green color, and knowing that Pierre Bourdon created this perfume, I really wanted to love it too. But I don't. Désolée. 3.08.11

This fragrance is very lily-of-the-valley, which to be honest, kind of disappointed me. I was expecting some of the other floral notes to show through more. I was suggested this as something I may like in relation to Burberry London, without smelling it first. I find it a little too mature for me, and have had a coworker comment that it reminded them of something from 20 years ago (which didn’t make me want to wear it again! : ). I think I’ll keep it for summer days and only spritz a light amount. Not one of my top picks.

I just want to confirm everything the previous reviewers said; it is a very symphatic, lovable, spring fragrance. Lily of the valley has the leading role in this play, which personally, gives me a very calm and relaxed feeling. No stress, just you and this air with flair surrounding you. Blended very subtle, not to strong, just LOVELY.

Normally I really like white flower perfumes but unfortunately this just smells like room freshener to me. But if you like it, it's a great niche summer perfume for a good price.

Now, maybe I'm just strange (hey, let's face it!), but I never get the 'this perfume smells like SEX' observations about perfumes such as Agent Provocateur/Obsession etc. 2) I would say, however, that Jasmin Lilas really DOES smell like sex! (I always find that verbal observation a bit weird but if it's gonna be hung on something, this is one frag that deserves the draping!). This is no modest, floral number, the heart of this is indecently (italics) plump, meaty and saying 'come on!'. And on that note, that was just from smelling it on my hand. I will give this a revisit and a proper wear although I suspect that, bolshy and indecent as it is, it will be too overtly floral for me to stand. UPDATE: Wore it properly today. Actually dries down to something verrrry similar to Loewe Aire (quite different from its initial impression then) so I like it! (Smells very natural too, ie. no harsh chemical slaps) Ps. Actually, I feel instantly FABULOUS when I wear this, I'm not sure why because I've never had that with any other perfume. Walking around about town I feel like the bees knees, very strange! :)

I have been waiting to try this one way too long. I must say, I was excited about it. I love lilac. This is one of the scents I strongly associate with my childhood (we had lilac bushes growing in my garden), and it makes an appereance in one of my favourite Terry Pratchett's books. There was no way I would not fall in love with this one then, however, it happened for all the wrong reasons :) The name is slightly misleading in my opinion. The fragrance is wonderful, floral, sparkly, clean, but it is not lilac, but lilly-of-the-vally that steals the show. together with jasmin it creates an innocent, yet strong composition- strong in beauty. Delicate, romantic, makes me feel as if I was sitting on a veranda in an enchanted garden. All that's missing is a spring and a unicron drinking from it. Despite the fruity accords, the fragrance is not too sweet or juicy, but fresh, crispy, positive. A fantastic fragrance for daily wear (specially if you have a fountain and a unicorn at your disposal).

I also want to thank Guerlain for her review. I was looking for a true and beautiful lily-of-the-valley scent and I ordered Fleurs d`Ombre Jasmin Lilas unsniffed from online after reading her review here. And as it had all three of my most favorite floral notes - lily-of-the-vally, lilac and jasmine - it was doubtlessly a must-have. With first sniff I mostly get lilac but then lily-of-the-valley comes out and it really is true scent as Guerlain said. And it stays to dominate for most of the time. I smell jasmine in the base with peachy notes. As already said - if you love lily-of-the-valley it's a must-have. And although I am not into niche parfumes I am glad about discovering and getting this one.

I get mostly Jasmine and Lily of the valley with green notes in the background. The jasmine has that quality of being overripe, I guess a bit indolic (but never goes poopy/barnyard like some jasmine's will do on my skin) and yes I agree that it's a bit reminiscent of some "90's air freshener" from my childhood. Very springtime and fresh. I like it every once and a while. Pair with a 90's sundress.

This is a pretty strong beast for one flowery perfume. Unfortunately, I found it out when I was trying to remove/wash it from my wrist. It was a hard job. What I didn't like is the fact that lilac note was too strong. Jasmin was completely undetectable. Lilac scent is too strong and sharp in my opinion, so this perfume did not impress me that much.

It smells mostly jasmine sambac, less lilac. Quite synthetic to my nose. It is pleasant but a little thin to my taste. Love the bottle, the beautifully embossed frosty glass.

Simply Divine Smell, I love it and get many compliments wearing it :D
