One Love

Divine and gorgeous. The saffron, mimosa, and violet leaf over woody notes and musk create a green, aromatic freshness. Excellent sillage and nice woody base. A totally nice balance of woody, musky, floral with mimosa carrying the day. One Love deserves its high score on Fragrantica. It's very French, very fresh, and utterly original. To me it doesn't smell synthetic at all. One of those below-the-radar perfumes that I love to collect. Has the same violet leaf note as Jaipur Bracelet and a similar aromatic, green freshness.

This has unexpectedly become one of my favorite springtime perfumes, despite the two party-poopers, galbanum and saffron. Mimosa is the front-runner here, despite a vast collection of florals, and it can be felt for hours. I especially like the combo with violet leaves and other purple flowers (iris, lilac), which is why I bought it in the first place. The opening is very fresh, nice combo of citrusy, greenish and slightly sweet notes (not too much), but unfortunately it only lasts for a minute or two (literally). Then, galbanum and saffron take over, changing the character of the scent. And it's a struggle for me for the next 3 hours, until it finally fades away and the floral & base notes take the stage. The drydown is again a very pleasant experience and also a bit sensual - rose/floral combos with oakmoss give that vibe to me. I found I like it best layered with Aqua Allure from Rasasi which nicely smooths this troublesome transition for me. (it's not listed here on Fragrantica, but also a fresh, greenish floral for women, perfect for layering, not so much on its own, I find it poorly grounded since it has no woody/musky/ambery/resinous notes and I like my fragrances with some depth) Sillage is moderate-to-intimate (I don't mind it), but longevity is above the average (initally, I felt it was weak for a EdP (thought it was a bad/old batch - couldn't check on checkfresh.com), but after a couple of weeks it has improved singnificantly). I feel this scent is best for springtime and autumn. It's a well-rounded and well-grounded fragrance, with an elegant touch, a nice tribute to women's fragrances of 70's and 80's, but with a modern twist and somewhat lighter in character.

I got a sample of this with a perfume order. Never saw it in a store and never heard of it before, so I decided to wear it around the house yesterday. One Love is very feminine and grown up. Floral and very powdery, I mostly smell iris, maybe a bit of violet. The powdery scent is quite long lasting, I didn't really get to the woody notes in the base, it's really a lipstick/makeup kind of iris note all day to me. Not very sweet and a bit dry, but for some reason also refreshing, maybe that's the lemon and bergamot. It's a cool scent, not a warm one. Overall One Love is not my kind of perfume, as I'm not a big fan of powdery florals, but if you love these kind of fragrances, you should try it.

It is a very elegant, classy, floral, green fragrance. I very like it. Great longevity and sillage and in the same time soft and calming. Sometimes it smells like freshly washed laundry, sometimes it smells like a floral garden, sometimes it smells like a field with full of flowers and green grass. Very nice perfume.
