Colonial Club

This is completely my style of cologne. When I decided to do the actual test, I did apply it around 9:00AM for work and, for the record, the scent was still on my skin around 7:00PM without having been reapplied. The lasting is great, but the projection is low...it projects well for about 3 hours and then, stays close to the skin. Anyway, each skin reacts in a different way, and maybe in other men it works differently. Yet, it might be that old story of thinking that the cologne is no longer working, but it’s there, but you are having a crisis of "olfactory fatigue". About the fragrance: output notes of lemon, orange, lavender and mint; heart notes: jasmine and fruity blend; base notes: patchouli, vanilla and cedar. On my skin, the output is slightly orange with a touch of mint. But the "fruity blend" is very strong and the jasmine, which is one of my favorite notes (as well as cinnamon and vanilla), are evident and delicious. Finally, the vanilla gives a hot and sweet touch to the fragrance with the dregs of cedar closing it in a very discreet way. You close your eyes and realize that it's not the vanilla that finishes the scent...it gives the creamy and sweet touch throughout the evolution, but is the cedar that gives the final cut upon opening your eyes and get back to "real world". The coolest thing about this scent, since it is considered "second line" - although creation of Jeanne Arthes, which is already a reputable brand and recognized by major sites that discuss the subject - is that it doesn't remind me of any other famous cologne. It seems to me to be a particular creation of the House, which makes it even more special. And I know many colognes and have an excellent olfactory memory. But this is really a mystery. Not to say that I haven't tried to make any calls on my head, I'd say it is a mixture of Individuel (Mont blanc) with Uppercut (Everlast). But I don't think it is a copy of any existing cologne.

I own and this and the Signature. This one performs much better. Projects really well, and also leaves pretty nice scent trail. I own Guerlain L'homme Ideal EDP. And understand the similarity. For me, it's in the dry down that smells quite similar to L'homme Ideal EDP. I guess the floral aspect....?? I've tried MB Individuel. The similarity comes from the fruity-floral in my opinion. While the opening, to me it is quite similar with thr citrucy opening of Channel AHS and/or Versace Pour Homme. Conclusion. I'm really happy with this fragrance. The price, the smell, the versatilty, the mass-pleasing, and of course the performance.

Two minutes into the opening, it smells pretty similar to Fcuk Pop Culture. It comes out to be pretty syrupy and too sweet in the beginning. But unlike Pop Culture, Colonial Club gradually transforms into something more refined and admirable. About 30-40 minutes after the opening, the sweetness recedes and gives way to deeper and softer notes. It lasts for 7-8 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. A worth try at such a low price point.

I stop over on Robinson's Mall, one of the malls here in Philippines, however I was looking for a John Varvatos Perfume when I noticed the elegant bottle of this perfume and I would say this one is so cheap but, it smells so expensive. I already purchased it. And My gosh, the fruitiness of this guy is amazing. I really love the opening. I can wear this on a business casual attire and so on even at night. I love it!
