Blackberry & Bay Cologne

This is the blackberry fragrance. Fruity and fresh without being overly synthetic or feminine. This is Blackberry brambles straight from the bramble. While Bay Leaf and Cedar come in adding this delightful blend of woods and an added freshness. The Bay Leave isn't overly Camphorus as the accords show, instead it acts as a delightful addition that's clean yet adds an almost smoky residue like the morning after a camp fire in mountains, nearby a bramble is blooming.

This was a blind buy for me, bought on Sali Hughes’s recommendation. I thought I’d layer it with other Jo Malone scents but I find I like it well on its own. I am not a fan of fruity scents generally but Sali said this had a sour nature so I was intrigued. It’s great. I guess I like fruity scents when they are not sweet. (I am SO OVER smelling sweet scents everywhere.)

This is a fruity and fresh fragrance, with few and simple yet very pleasant notes of blackberries and bay leaves, with a hint of cedar. The performance is alright. It lasts for 3-4 hours and it’s very intimate. It’s quite unisex, but it feels a little more feminine too. 6.5/10. It’s a nice scent, just not worth for the performance.

I love Blackberry and Bay, it's hands down my current favorite fragrance. However, I find this limited edition less long-lasting than the one in the classic, transparent JM glass bottle. Which is not particularly long-lasting either, as most Jo Malone colognes. Fresh and juicy, subtle tart sweetness, beautiful breath of cedarwood

A fruity and very green scent. It’s almost like there’s a grounded up bay leave where you sprayed it. Not too fruity, more like minty. It’s an okay for me. Not something I would like to smell like. Probably will work well with Byredo Mixed Emotion. Edit. Slept with it on my sleeves. Woke with it still on the sleeves albeit just a soft lingering scent that you have to look for it to notice.

This is fruity, but way more on the tart side and not the sweet, which I appreciate. Aside from fruity, this comes across as brisk and fresh as the cedar is quote noticeable. I am not a fan of fruity sweet fragrances, so I found myself liking this more than I thought I would, but keep in mind the cedar and bay leaves push this slightly toward the masculine side. Not a good blind buy if you are looking for something fruity and feminine. The quality is good as the fresh natural take on blackberry is impressive, at least to me. Not expecting a lot, but pleasantly surprised at the same time. Thumbs up.
